liked it. goodfoodand great views. really a neat place to spend the evening. thefoodwas really good. little pricey, but that's if you get their specialty dishes. sweet potato crusted sea bass was excellent.

was hoping for a great experience- but was disappointed. the waitress was flat - 0 energy, and thefoodwas quite bland, very little flavor even though we both ordered items labeled spicy. the view is great though. overall it is overpriced for the experience. would not recommend this as a must stop.

thisfoodwas very good! i had a blackened mahi sandwich, and it was phenomenal. it's always packed here, but the bar has great service. i had a virgin strawberry daiquiri and would highly recommend. the overall atmosphere is very fun and thefoodis delicious.

while it is a great location, thefoodleft something to be desired. the grilled shrimp was over cooked. the encrusted shrimp and grouper didn't taste like fish anymore. in fairness, the grilled swordfish was cooked well. also, two of our three items were a $1 more each on the bill than on the menu and chalkboard. i would recommend it if you wanted to drink by the beach. i would not recommend if you want good seafood.

they need to get a new hostess. young dark-haired hostess that checked us in had the personality of a rock. we knew we would be waiting for over an hour to be seated but after 45 minutes we went to check to see the status. her customer service skills were much like her personality. non existent. our waitress was very good, thefoodabove average and the view beautiful. probably would not go back there. not overly friendly.

worst meal and service tonight 12/4/14. i have been coming here faithfully for 20+ years and tonight will be the very last time i come to sharky's sadly. ourfoodwas well under the normal standards, coconut shrimp was not good and not the same. when we mentioned our disappointment to our waitress she simply said they changed the recipe and did not even offer to bring something different. then the fillet and two new york strips that were ordered were not impressive either. the filet was much smaller than normal and the "butter" that comes with the steaks was not even butter! when i explained again my disappointment with the meal and the fact that a manager didn't even bother to come to our table..she simply repeated that the "butter" was changed as well and that the "menu" changed..although the "menu" itself is not changed at all to reflect the differences. then i spent 10 minutes tracking down the manager myself..and he simply stated the same thing that the menu changed, even after i told him that being a customer for over 20 years i do not plan to return..he made zero!! attempt to try to resolve the problem. so very disappointed..i have given them rave reviews for 20 yrs and now..after the horrible service i intend to spend time giving reviews that reflect my disappointment tonight. i miss the old warm inviting staff they used to have employed, i miss the great manager that used to take time to greet us at the table and make certain our experience was great. i used to leave 20-30% tips..tonight the tip was 0 because it wasn't earned. very, very disappointed wish i never spent the $132 dollars tonight taking my daughter and her boyfriend there!!

they ruined it. we used to go here all the time. best location for many many miles directly on the gulf of mexico. stunning stunning views. but they have just added a new restaurant called fins, a fancier sharkey's and they have raised their prices at old restaurant. now you have to get a pager, wait in line for an hour, very very crowded and no longer a place to sit and enjoy atmosphere and the views. just too many people walking by and trying to get seats to be able to do this. they even have oversize gulf carts in parking lot picking people up because the parking lot is so large and far from front door now. just no fun anymore at least not for locals. more of a tourist trap now. for the amount of people they serve their service is excellent isfoodis good sometimes very good but can be hit or miss but overall good. remember this is not a five star joint have not eaten at fin's so cannot say a word. norma

great place for a cold beer. this is one busy place on a nice warm day. wait times can be in access of an hour.foodis fair, beer is cold, prices are stiff, but the atmosphere makes it all worth while. if you drove here and enjoyed the beach, you might as well tank up and enjoy people watching.

shark's. love the location of this restaurant although i have never been impressed with any of thefoodi have ordered. hoping once the remodel is over they well have a new menu. if you go, wait for a table outside. love the entertainment and the frozen drinks.

old florida beachfront eatery. what a landmark for venice. a charming and romantic place to go. the atmosphere is hard to beat anywhere on the coast. like a private beach without all the high rises, hotels or condos. you can choose to sit inside or out. thefoodand service were right-on. we ordered the roasted caprese salad to start and it was plenty to share. followed by blackened grouper and the aruba style pier pasta. polished off with a vanilla cheese cake dessert. yummay! all were scrumptious. after your meal you can walk the pier or hang out on the beautiful white sand beaches and aqua waters. put it on your bucket list.

favorite beach bar. sharky's is our all time favorite beach bar & grill. it is our go to spot when we get off the plane and want greatfoodand drinks on the beach. tried the freshly caught grouper in a sandwich and a mango bango drink. awesome. place is always crowded but definitely worth the wait

we arrived at 9:20 and were seated but didn't get menus until 9:40 we worked in the service industry and know much of this experience was bad. ourfoodwas heat lamped too the extreme. sad because i think we were the only people withoutfoodwhen it finally came. thefoodwas way overpriced and not up to expectation. they cleaned up all around us and made us very unwelcome. f sharkys.

we had to wait almost an hour for a table outside but it was worth it! i had the mahi mahi summer on the beach salad and it was amazing! my husband thought he had died and gone to heaven over his grouper sandwich because it was so good (he got it cajun style). i would recommend this restaurant to out of towners or locals. ambiance is great, service was fine andfoodwas delicious!

pricey. beautiful place right on the water. perfect set-up to suck in the tourists.foodwas good, but very, very overpriced. but what can you expect when you have a restaurant on the beach with a pier behind it.
