depends on the day and branch. i used to live in abu dhabi and the branches down in ad were amazing, food was well cooked, very nice flavours, the service was perfect.

but, here in al hamra is a totally different story. the food was cold and i had to send it back, it wasnt even cooked properly the second time and by then, all my friends had finished their food. it didnt actually even taste that nice so i was shocked at how bad my experience was and im not planning to ever go back.

bad horrible quality. you have certainly declined. i think that most people that go to shakespear nowadays are there for shisha and coffee, even those two are now bad. for breakfast, go somewhere else. i only recommend the tuna and salmon sandwiches.

my favorite breakfast restaurant in rak.. very quiet and relaxing place at morning.. i had lunch and dinner few times and it was acceptable.. i think their waiters need more training

went there on a weekend after dinner to pacify my sugar rush. sadly, i wasn’t really convinced enough with their desserts. i’m of the opinion it could be better. the chocolate mousse texture wasn’t moist enough and fresh. we ordered three from the menu and my ratings are as follows
1. chocolate mousse - 1/5
2. pave chocolate - 2.5/5
3. hazelnut succes - 2.5/5

cobb salad and nicoise salads are filling and flavorful. perfect meal if you're watching weight. my brother ordered the baby chicken - the sauce in particular and the dish overall was really good. staff are helpful.

i would like have a food from these restaurants .

this is one of my favourite joints to relax. though i have been to most of their outlets in dubai, this particular one in al hamra rak is outstanding in terms of their hospitable service. lovely staff! i absolutely love the whole victorian style ambience of this restaurant.

i absolutely love the decor at shakespeare, it's very pretty.

i do not particularly enjoy having dinner here but the breakfasts are always good. eggs benedict is always my first choice.

the fried fish and chips is really delightful, something i really miss from home.

the alfredo pasta was really good too.

this place is super cool to hangout with family. good service. good attitude from the staff. very nice ambience. and above all, the sunday offer is too hot.

i would like to adjust my earlier review of this establishment. the food as always is wonderful however i realise that perhaps a new management employee has been appointed who purely doesn't seem to care about customer care. due to this they have now lost three of their regular weekly customers!
for over the past year my parents and i would spend almost 10 hours a week there relaxing smoking shisha and enjoying the food. tonight friday 22nd of november 2019...there was a misunderstanding as to what the balance was due for the bill. what with it being less than we anticipated....however we did not know this and offered our voucher exceeding the bill amount.... had we been told the amount we would have gladly paid cash instead of losing 100dhs of our voucher. we asked if something could be done to rectify the situation as loyal customers.... only to be told by one of the management staff on duty rather rudely that it was quote " not his problem" and refused to even try to help with the situation. this is how your establishment treats some of their most loyal customers!? i am so incredibly disappointed. we will miss the many of the kind waiters that we have come to know well and of who were always accommodating. however we will not be visiting any of your establishments in the future due to being treated in such a rude manner. i say this with a heavy heart because it was such an escape for us on weekends. updated nov 2019

my first visit to the hamra mall branch of shakespeare & co. and i wasn't disappointed at all.

as always the unique decor makes this place stand out from the crowd.... it was relatively quiet for a public holiday but i guess most people were sleeping in after the new year's eve festivities.

we ordered the poached salmon salad, fish & chips & the egg shakshouka. the fish & chips were ok and pretty overpriced in my opinion but all the other dishes were pretty good. i also had the very berry smoothie which i found to be really good and not overly sugary like you find in most other places. for dessert we had the lemon tart which looks stunning and had a strong lemony tang without being overly sweet. liked it a lot.

service was average as the waiting staff did not come back to our table on and off during the course of our meal to check on us but i'm willing to give them a pass today as they were probably short staffed. prices on certain items are little exorbitant but again you are paying for the whole package so it just about balances out..... just!!!!

overall i enjoyed the meal and will probably make it a point to visit their naeem mall branch more regularly for coffee & cake since it's much much closer to where i live.

honestly i dont understand the high rating for this place.

i went there with a group. we ordered many dishes and nothing was accepted !

the shakespeare & co we tried was located in al hamra mall rak, we were hungryyy and waiting to have a full scrumptious breakfast. although located inside the mall ..the moment you enter the cafe you feel you are instantly transported to the victorian era ..with lavender colored drapes, laces, and chandeliers . i absolutely loved the feel of the place . 🙂
