aburgerparadise. a great variety of food options. also, the taste of food was really good. loved the place overall. not to forget , good desserts too.

a good place for great food. i loved the ambience of this place. loved the cheese burger. its a must try forburgerlovers and especially with loads of cheese.

sad-ompelled to tell diners of huge change. wow-so so sad to see this classicburgerjoint and ice cream shop change. quality went bye bye. what a shame. much smaller portions. overcooked thin patty. bun was stale and flattened. appeared to be microwaved before it was toasted? bacon at breakfast was paper thin and tiny. several bad dining experiences in a row. ice cream - not so creamy anymore. has corn syrup and artificial ingredients on the label. no longer pure good old soda fountain andburgerjoint. we loved it and dined at both locations for many years. can't say we will rush back unless things change.

stuck in a time warp. doesnt matter which shady glen you visit, they are fairly interchangeable.
same menu, same old timey waitress outfits, same weird fried cheese.
did i say weird fried cheese? yah, its like the signature snacking item at this place. you can get it parked on top of some old school prefabburgerpatty, or you can do what we do and just get the cheese. yes, you can just order that alien, standing up on its own, fried cheese, not fried to the point of crispness, but kinda solidifying, morphing into something not quite of this earth, with a pickle on the side. ( they lost their original cheese vendor once and the populace went bizerk till they found a suitable replacement.) i'll do that with a side of fries and im all set for a half hour. finish off the experience with a maple walnut sundae, mind blowing good, cant say ive ever ordered a maple walnut anything before, but i get it here, cus its really gooey, and creamy and. . . yah get one.

bad burger. i had heard so much about the shady glen cheeseburger that i decided i just had to try it. one of the biggest disappointments ever. theburgerwas overcooked and tasteless. the cheese tasted just like velveeta. the $1 mcdouble is a much betterburgerand costs a lot less.

shady glen fries were terrible frozen french fries. you want fries, go to five guys. best fries going.

service was bad. the waitress almost didn't care that i was there. when i told her it was the worst cheeseburger i ever had, she just shrugged and took it away. i thought she might offer to reduce the bill or offer something to replace the bad burger.

all in all i rated shady glen 2out of 10.

small town favorite. this place is consistently fun. the ice cream is delicious. and the staff never makes you feel unwelcome. whether you're there for aburgeror a sundae (or both) you'll enjoy...

this is a great greasy localburgerplace that takes you back to another time and way of life. a must get is the fried cheese!! it is yummy goodness!!!
