had dinner with my friends here andordereda bunch of different sushi platters as well as the spicy gyoza. so order the spicy gyoza. it is worth it.

my favourite among the sushi platters that weorderedwas the grilled salmon skin maki. yes, it was a bit spicy, but so good and so worth it. i also enjoyed the crispy philly. think all the bad things for you in one: cheese, deep fried, sushi. (okay, sushi isn't exactly bad for you.)

serving size wise, i'd say that two sushi platters had us comatose, and we were super hungry when we came in. definitely worth the trip to bf.

note: parking may be hard to come by but we were there early (around 6:30/7pm) so it wasn't so bad.

when it comes to the food, it's really worth trying. weorderedonly for their best sellers namely, crispy philly, cali roll with prawn popcorn, & pork dumplings. there are 5 of us who ate there including my toddler however the place is too small & they don't have high chairs for babies. they also allow other guests to smoke inside their very small place. the parking space there is also a necessity.

absolutely terrific food! i heard about sensei sushi from my brother, who claims that its probably the best japanese in the las pinas area. so on the way home from a meeting, i wazed them since ive never seen their shop before. they are a quiet little shop along the bf main bf road near the pcj church with a small logo on their sign that looka just like their neighbors, so theyre hard to spot. when we entered, i was surprised to see how small the resto was. it could only fit about 20 people, but surprisingly, about half the resto's tables werr already reserved. since i was clueless, i asked the waiter for their best sellers. we ended up ordering the crispy philadelphia maki, the fried oysters, the torched salmon maki, and the spicy seafood pasta. the crispy philly was pretty tasty, being cheesy and fried and crispy. the torched salmon was also pretty good, but kinda tasted like normal baked salmon with rice. the seafood pasta was pretty good, too. for dessert, weorderedthe half baked chocolate cake. if you are going to get the half baked chocolate cake, you need to order in advance since it takes 20 mins for it to come out. the choc cake was very delicious, great with the mango it comes with. we spent about 1200 for me and my gf. the atmosphere of the place feels kinda small and dark. they say its comfy but i didnt really get that vibe. the guy at the bar had one of those jejemon caps with the straight brim as he was wearing his chefs uniform. kinda brought down the atmosphere of the place. will i come back? yes, to try the other stuff. the service was pretty fast. like 3-4 mins per dish. it was weird considering its fresh maki? so you had to like, roll the maki and then fry it and then cut it? so i kinda doubt if the stuff was really freshly made. pero good food none-the-less.

dining area is uncomfortable, and dirty, (i don't even want to think about the kitchen!) and service is mediocre despite having over staffing and a small dining area. food is mostly on the sweet side, actually very sweet. sweet lead the tastes in all the dishes we ordered, and weorderedquite a few dishes on the cheesy chalk board menu. (really, chalk board menu?... how cheap can you get?) even dishes that we did not expect to be sweet was sweet. good temperature is also a concern. this place despite the rundown look and lack of comfort still manages to charge a pretty penny for the seemingly similar tasting dishes they serve. overall... quite a disappointing experience.

first time here, and the trip was worth it!!

weordereda total of 4 dishes:
✅ crispy philly - loved the mix of salmon and asparagus in the roll, sauce is also good. sad it was only 6 pcs
✅ gyoza - no need for a special dip for this cause the sauce all over it was just right for the taste
✅ pork katsudon - very tender meat, really melts in your mouth
✅ tuna and crispy scallop w/ dynamite sauce - first crispy sushi i had, and i don't really like spicy, but this is an exception 💖

overall, why this review lacks one more star is because it's out of the way, and you have to come early since they only open for lunch till 3pm and opens again at 5:30.

our first try at sensei is a hit!

the place is cozy and clean. and we are seated comfortably when we arrived (because we were early). we made sure we come early (thanks to a friendly tip) so we do not have to worry sitting 8 people for dinner.

weorderedthe tempura, tuna sashimi, kani salad, beef teppanyaki, katsudon to name a few (whew, what a feast!) and all are delish!

the staff are courteous, and all of us were well served!

we will definitely come back.

weorderedthe salmon sashimi, gyudon, spicy salmon maki, chicken teriyaki (off menu). their sashimi and maki is above as expected 🤘🏻🔥! the chicken teriyaki is good but there are more vegetables than the chicken itself more of a chopsuey rice bowl 😂

sensei sushi is one of the sushi / maki places i would love to go back to. a couple of months ago, my cousin and i decided to eat at this restaurant located at bf homes paranaque. weorderedthree items from the menu which was enough to fill up two people. tuna and crispy scallop dyanamite. the play on textures of rice, tuna, and fried scallop is addicting. the contrast of colors of the green plate and dominantly orange sushi is pleasing to the eye.crispy philly

i think this is the best japanese resto in bf. i'm giving them 4.5 rating. they serve good food, a bit pricey though but you can taste the freshness most specially on their tuna sashimi. i alsoorderedthe spicy karaage and it taste great. the place is quite small only seating 24 persons. when i get back i'll try their different kinds of sushi.

we finally found the place after several failed attempts. weorderedcrispy philly, ebi tempura, and vegetable chahan. the philly and tempura were just okay with me while my boyfriend really liked the philly. the chahan was good? it was "creamy" and i didn't really know how to feel about my fried rice being creamy. no, it didn't have any cream but it tasted buttery or something, i don't really know how to describe it.

not sure if we'll go back again though.

ordered hamachi sashimi, crispy tuna and scallop maki, spicy salmon salad, and gyoza. food was really good, orderedeverything based on waiters recommendation. one of the best maki rolls i've ever had. gets a 4.0 because it is a bit overpriced. overall really good, fresh, quality food.

the reviews were true. the wait is worth it. and the food is divine. weorderedthe grilled salmon which was grilled to perfection and not all japanese restaurants can do this right. salmon aburi was the bomb. the tempura were really big prawns. everything theyorderedwas good. will come back for more aburi sushi. sensei is indeed the master of yumminess.
