love, love, love it!. such agreatspot for delicious food, good beer and loads of hot sauces! outdoor seating is plentiful and the staff is fun.greatmusic inside keeps the atmosphere energized. prices are very reasonable and the ice cream choices are delicious too! it's a family favorite!

good. we had mixed feelings about our visit – agreatlocation in a picturesque setting by minnehaha falls, but the food isn’t spectacular, even by casual eatery standards.

such agreatplace to enjoy summer! outdoor "order at counter" place with a huge selection, including fresh fish and seafood. they offer a large selection of craft beers also. there were so many things on the menu that we wanted, we ate some for lunch then ordered more to take home for dinner!

well worth the line!! the tacos are great. i had the mahi mahi tacos and they were very enjoyable. the patio is lovely and minnehaha falls is so much better when you have just had agreatseafood meal.

this is our traditional stop when we do our long weekend bike rides. absolutely love the fish tacos - minus the wait time, this place has agreatview of minnehaha falls, along with small live music andgreatpeople watching!

tasty andgreatview. rainy nights make for short lines and quick, friendly service. tasty vittles and an awesome view of the falls afterwards.

best fish sandwiches!. best fish sandwiches on the cheap too.greatscenery directly across from minnehaha falls. get your lunch and then go for a walk down to the river and the falls.

best fish sandwich ever. this sandwich had the right amount of zip which made me fall in love. will be back again and again.

seafood, waterfalls & thegreatoutdoors. sea salt eatery isgreatif you're looking to spend some time outdoors. located within minnehaha park near the falls, you can eat surrounded by nature, but within the city! easy to get to by lightrail.

often there is outdoor music playing for your enjoyment, too!

at times you can expect long lines of people waiting to order, but you can go inside and grab a beer or glass of wine to sip while you're waiting. ice cream is also good for hot summer days.

sea salt eatery has a bunch ofgreatthings going for it, the first being location. sea salt is located within minnnehaha park, which is a large city of minneapolis park that attracts over 850,000 visitors annually with access to the mississippi, limestone bluffs, biking and walking trails, and even a spot where you can rent some pretty crazy bikes that ride more than two people! their outdoor area has lots of seating (as long as you don't go on a holiday weekend) and is a quick walk over to the falls.

if you don't mind waiting in line for a while ( longest i've waited: 2 hours) for somegreatsea food, it's deff worth it. i've been 5 times now and the food is always great. fav is the crawfish sandwich. has that local vibe and relaxed atmosphere while located right by the falls. deff would recommend visiting this place once.

the best part of summer!. i love sea salt. i can't wait for it to open in late spring each season and try to get there one last time (after going many times in the summer) before it closes in the fall. i usually get the grilled fish po' boy. although it is $10 with no sides (maybe a little steep) the quality of the fish and sandwich makes it worth it! the seafood here is never fishy, which is a big problem with seafood in the midwest. the have agreatbeer selection, and you get to eat outside in beautiful minnehaha park. the best part: hot sauce! they have dozens of different hot sauces to choose from and i look forward to try a few each time i go.

tonight was the exception. we have been enjoying sea salt since it opened. good food, good wine and beer choices, and a fun, busy, noisy place.

tonight, not so thrilled with the customer service side. the music was so loud that we and the others dining inside had to yell at each other to talk. when i asked, the guy behind the prep bar kindly turned it down. my husband went for another beer, and told the beer guy we appreciated their turning down the music, and he replied that he did not know how long that would last.

sure enough, 5 minutes later, it was even louder. i went up to ask the beer guy to turn it down, that i knew it wasgreatto have a happy kitchen crew, but we could not hear each other, and he did, and for a few minutes, we could talk.

and again, up it went. i asked a third guy to please turn it down at the point the kitchen started singing along loudly. we finished our meal and left.

i worked in restaurants for many years, both front of house and cooking. i get music in the kitchen. tonight's volume was the level you set for clean-up...crank it, clean and get outta there.

what really bothers me is that there was no sense that a paying customer was making a request; the kitchen staff turned it into an annoying game between themselves and a customer. or there was no staff communication that there was a problem out there. we simply wanted to enjoy our meal.

very disappointing.

peak hours affect service. i cannot recommend this eatery to any of my friends visiting the twin cities, because i wouldn't be able to trust sea salt to avoid wasting their time. two hours is a lot of time to lose on just one weekend in town.

i put 1 ½ hours on my parking meter, and it wasn't enough. waiting in line took about 40 minutes, but over 80 minutes passed before there was food on my table.

this was at 7:00pm on a beautiful saturday evening. yep, it was busy and i understand the pressures this can put on a kitchen. it's too bad sea salt cannot prepare orders as fast as they arrive, but to their credit the food quality remained excellent. everything was tasty and worth the cost.

but it wasn't worth the wait.

if you have that kind of time and you want somegreatoysters or fish in a natural setting, it's the place for you. just know what you're signing up for, before you place an order on a busy night.

average at best, butgreatscenery. i was looking forward to trying out the sea salt eatery for nearly the entire winter but when i finally made the time to eat there i found the experience very unsatisfying. the food was mostly tasteless - i had the fish tacos, calamari appetizer, and a crab stuffed avocado special.

the fish tacos in particular were disappointing, possessing no flavor in the batter or fish itself and it was so soggy it split the tortilla wrap in half. i will give them credit for good and fast service, contrary to what many other reviewers have stated.

but, as far as seafood goes - this wouldn't be on the top of my list. the only thing that saved the day was the beautiful surroundings and of course the waterfall. definitely not worth a special trip.

long lines are worth the wait. went to sea salt again yesterday and when the weather is nice i can't think of a better spot!greatfood if you were in a real restaurant but reallygreatfood considering you're standing in a city park. these guys know what they're doing big time.
