sea salt eatery

at least they tried. it takes nerve to try and make southern style food up here in mn where so many people have no idea what the food is really like. i ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, surprised it wasn't a po boy like it should have been. it came out very quickly which was nice. the crab was split, and had lettuce on the bottom of a toasted bun with mayo and tomato on top. first, it should have been a roumalade. and second, if your are gonna split the crab clean it out! it was a nice try, but for a glass of wine and a sandwich to be $23.67 you need to get it right. it is a nice place to relax and take in the view, but you won't get your money's worth here. prices should be more in line with your quality, which is lacking and more in the ballpark of a hole in the wall.

love, love, love it!. such a great spot for delicious food, good beer and loads of hot sauces! outdoor seating is plentiful and the staff is fun. great music inside keeps the atmosphere energized. prices are very reasonable and the ice cream choices are delicious too! it's a family favorite!

worth the wait in line. this place can get busy, and the line can get long.
but the quick service at the counter and friendly staff compliment that you are eating rally good seafood, in a city park. and once you have the calamari you will be in a zen like trance no matter how long the line is the next time you visit.

good. we had mixed feelings about our visit – a great location in a picturesque setting by minnehaha falls, but the food isn’t spectacular, even by casual eatery standards.

very unique place - love the old building and watching everyone in the park go about while eating. i had the curry shrimp and the sauce was awesome - i wanted to lick my bowl but didn't want to embarrass my husband. look forward to going back.

the best fried white fish!! and awesome to have a beer in the park! don't miss the falls and don't be surprised by the long line... it moves!

such a great place to enjoy summer! outdoor "order at counter" place with a huge selection, including fresh fish and seafood. they offer a large selection of craft beers also. there were so many things on the menu that we wanted, we ate some for lunch then ordered more to take home for dinner!

well worth the line!! the tacos are great. i had the mahi mahi tacos and they were very enjoyable. the patio is lovely and minnehaha falls is so much better when you have just had a great seafood meal.

crazy good fish, cheerful staff. i don't love fish/seafood, but i loved new orleans bbq shrimp. be prepared for a long wait and cleaning off your tables and such. but all around pretty yummy.

really, i never heard of scallop tacos before, but all the pictures i saw of sea salt's bay scallop tacos really got me interested and eventually converted me into a fan. it was my sole reason to come and finally try sea salt. well, also to take my visiting family to check out minnehaha falls. :)

those tacos - wow...delicious! loads of crispy bay scallops piled on two layers of tortillas, topped with salsa, corn relish, and cilantro. there were so many things on the menu; yet, i went straight to the scallop tacos. i couldn't think of anything else the whole time i stood in line. yes, the line....it was long but it was worth it. after i put those tacos away, i wanted to go back in line for more. what is this? six flags' roller coaster ride? i wish i had the wrist band for all day passes to scallop tacos.

we also ordered the fish tacos that looked and tasted so mighty good. i had a bite of it from my brother in law's plate. yumm. the clam strips were a bit overcooked but we didn't leave anything behind still.

it was a nice afternoon at the park. i couldn't believe all this beauty and we're in the middle of a city. it was pretty cool. i can't wait to go back and will be back before they're close after the season is over.

sea salt is everything i had hoped it to be. i really do believe in it and i may make it my church and visit every sunday. the line is pretty much like a communion line. bring it on. even if i exaggerated, i am a huge fan now and will come visit often.

this is our traditional stop when we do our long weekend bike rides. absolutely love the fish tacos - minus the wait time, this place has a great view of minnehaha falls, along with small live music and great people watching!

we are visiting minneapolis and just had a meal at seas salt. had the best fish taco ever-bay scallops. husband had the ahi burger which he loved. we will beck next time we visit in season.

how is it possible >90% continue to "like" sea salt? out experience; long wait for seafood, lower grade than a fast food chain, did not bring correct order, fishy tasting fried fish, dry/killed grilled mahi tacos. won't stop here again unless to see the falls with my kids.

tasty and great view. rainy nights make for short lines and quick, friendly service. tasty vittles and an awesome view of the falls afterwards.

now this is a seafood joint!. it can be difficult to find sea salt as the restaurant is located in a popular public park. the parking is in the minnehaha park lot (a couple bucks for two hours). the walk into the park with such big trees is refreshing. it is a two block wak to sea salt from the parking lot. when you get inside (somedays the lines are long) you smell a real seafood restaurant like you do in boston, florida or california. the big board lists the daily items. step up to the register, order, pay and the staff works hard to get your food out fast. the fish sandwich is my favorite and the price is cheap. ice cream is also good. seating outside or inside. the place looks like a park picnic area. nothing fancy. check out the menu and get ready for excellent seafood at low prices. we are lucky to have a place like this in minnesota. enjoy!
