we visited this indian restaurant last month in jersey city. the place is located at a nice location and the ambience is pretty good and inclusive.

we ordered dal, palak paneer and naan. thefoodwas very delicious and the quantity was good enough for the three of us. really liked their presentation of the food.

the service was quick and they even suggested us their best dishes. totally recommended!

if decent pure veg food, south indian dishes in particular and buffets are your thing then sapthagiri is a good option. we have tried a couple of their buffets,  they do different chat-south indian dishes combination on different days and their thalis and have mostly liked almost everything. theirfooddoes not stand out really but it is not bad either. located on the indian street in jersey city, it is one of the numerous establishments serving indianfoodand if you are a regular there and want a change of taste then this is a good option. they have a decent size seating area and polite and helpful staff.

ordered a dosa and i got this crumbling pieces neatly rolled, after waiting for more than an hour for dinner. when called the restaurant, their response was to pull up my order history so they can understand if i ever ordered this dosa from them before. they just think their customer is lying. worst experience ever, thanks for thisfoodand experience.

one of the finest indian restaurant in jersey city near journal square (where most of the indians reside). this place is the most crowded and buzzed place in jersey city, nj and it lives upto customer expectation by providing the quality offoodcustomers seek for! sapthagiri has a huge waiting line almost everyday but mostly within 15 minutes you'll get a table. dosa's are great here with a-one variety. north indians can try shahi paneer, garlic naan's & other dishes which all go well. do try lemon soda (also called as "banta" in delhi area). must visit place whenever you visit nj.

sapthagiri is located right on the popular "indian street" of jersey city - so it is hard to miss. they provide south indianfoodmainly and it is pretty decent.

there are many more south indianfoodjoints within a mile area, so there are tonnes of options. sapthagiri is decent in the quality and taste offoodit offers.

there is nothing extraordinary that makes it a must go yet it does not disappoint in any way if you happen to visit it.foodis fresh and pretty decent portions as well.

my visit was satisfactory but i might just try some other south indian joint around due to plenty of options!

simple, delicious, and honest. i am from india and i have lived in the u.s. for a dozen years now. sapthagiri tops the list of indian restaurants in terms of how they make you feel at home. i liked it so much that i went there on six consecutive evenings with my family and in-laws during our stay in north bergen, nj. one of the taboo themes no one likes to talk about is how indian restaurants treat other indians. typically, the word "contempt" comes to mind but at sapthagiri, i had an amazing experience on each of the six evenings. everyone from those taking orders to the chef and the manager (rex waris, a goan) showed genuine interest in their customers. you can spot genuine interest when you see it. there are no two ways at being genuine. i come from a middle class family and thefoodtastes like home; it feels as if the chef takes pride in thefoodhe prepares. if you crave for simple, deliciousfoodat a non pretentious place that reminds you of home, sapthagiri is the place to visit. parking can be tight, so have someone drop you and pick you up. also, since the restaurant is in high demand, be prepared to wait for 10 - 15 minutes. the place can be noisy and bustling with activity at times in a manner reminiscent of indian restaurants back home. i very highly recommend this restaurant.

moderately enjoyable experience. we went here on a sunday night and the place was packed. thefoodwas ok in comparison to other indian vegetarian restaurants. the samosas came out cold, but the manager was helpful and brought out new ones that were piping hot. the vegetable curry was decent but was not as spicy as advertised. the garlic naan was delicious.

my #1 in jersey. i miss sapthagiri since i moved out. i have looked around in 30 miles radius and nothing comes close.foodquality, service, items, timings .... so flexible

1. fresh items everyday
2. custom plates (no disposing)
3. no self service but great rates
4. very friendly management

i only wish they buy a bigger place and grow faster. i am sure they can crush the others easily with their food

the best. thefoodis so delicious in sapthagiri, that we do not mind driving 45 from northern nj to jersey city. and attention they give to customers and really friendly atmosphere (kids are in heaven there!) would justify even 2hours drive. great place!
