saanjh (pure veg) resto of bonvivantserves a wide variety of lip-smacking cuisines, in huge portion size with very courteous service, all without burning a hole in your pocket. i drove all the way from my resort in bhandardhara to nashik to have good birthday lunch, and bonvivantdidn't make me regret. i chose the place as it had all cuisines - continental, oriental and indian under one roof, along with a cafe and a bakery. we ordered sindhi papad, paneer chilly, cheese cherry pineapple, chinese sizzler and dum mix veg gravy. each of the dish was well presented and tasty. ccp and sindhi papad are a must try here. also the cakes at their bakery were extra ordinary. the only and a major let down was the washroom, they didn't have a washroom in saanjh and the one in eastern spice was at the other end while the other on rooftop cafe was yucky and without water. they must ensure clean washrooms considering the big place they have.

pure vegetarian food !
one of the restaurants at bonvivantwhich is pure veg and attracts mostly families.
i have been here only once which was a few months ago.
as i entered.. i don't know why but somehow the ambiance didn't please me very much specially compared with the other outlets at bon vivant. there was poor lighting inside the restaurant. we ordered veg manchow soup and masala papad.
the soup was good but the fried noodles were a bit raw. masala papad was nice.
we had just one starter before leaving.. i don't remember the exact name but it was some paneer dish. it came in good quantity and the taste was not so great. just kinda okayish !

food: 2.5/5
ambiance: 2/5
service: 4/5

overall :3.5 /5
bonvivanthas 2 restos 1st is non veg and 2nd pure veg.
we had a party and we wanted to have non veg but ac wasnt working and they had no alternative for that so they asked us to sit in veg section this was the first depression as the non veg one had better ambience

then we went to veg section that was too congested they made us sit near washroom so we again got up

then we found that here also only one ac was working

then we had roomali khakra 4/5 it was a bit uncooked at the top then for lunch we had veg handi which was sweet and paneer lava which was awesome.
we had roti basket which was awesome but only 6 breads .
we had shev bhaji 3/5 spice was awesome while it was too hot(chilli) .
and staff was not at all professional we asked them to clean the mess after starters they only cleaned corners while it was dirty at the centre.

we had to tell the staff 10 times to light the place up.

and ambience disappointed too much but the people made the fun.

sanjh not recommended but eastern spice is recommended and their sizzlers too

i'm new to nashik and bonvivantis a revelation to an ardent foodie like me. the decor is very upscale: parisian cafe meets indian traditionalism. we were lucky to be able to secure a table within 5 minutes of arrival and considering it was a sunday and there were large groups of people waiting for a table gave me hope and made me expectant of the food. the menu has a wide range of of cuisines from sizzlers to mughlai-punjabi fusion. we ordered the roomali khakhra which was such fun to devour and very tasty too. the cream of tomato soup, made with real tomatoes and cream as opposed to tomato ketchup, was absolutely wonderful. the mains we ordered were veg. kolhapuri and a paneer dish i couldn't hear with rotis. they were all very delicious and quantity wise were quite ample. i would like to mention here that the rotis were whole wheat flour and not refined flour as is seen in many expensive restaurants. it was a very good surprise. we finished the meal with jeera rice and dal tadka that were a truly splendid end to a fantastic meal. we were too happily full of food to try out desserts. the only thing that i didn't enjoy were the excessively noisy patrons just adjacent to us who made civil conversation just about impossible. though it isn't the management's fault that people believe screaming in a restaurant is an acceptable mode of communication, it did retract from our experience a little. i will come here again to try out more on the menu as well as the bakery.

going to a cult restaurant is pretty much like walking blindfolded. you can only expect good things to happen. boy, how far can you go with complexity, fanciness and variety? bonvivantis just an example.

the place - neatly located right opp. to dongre vasti grounds, off gangapur road. entering the place will make you forget the million people and billion cars honking outside. beautifully done dimly lit family dinner place. they have a separate pure veg north indian section which seems to create a sense of divide. the roof top area has a good space. must comment on the squeaky and extremely uncomfortable wooden chairs. space saving ergonomics attempt there?

the service - to the point, with a smile and quick. no complaints there. i had a small doubt with the ingredients in a sauce, the servers were kind enough to go and ask the chef. much appreciated.

the food - the menu is unconventional, fair and pretty much vast. the flavour combinations looked worked upon.
dont forget to try:
-broccoli cannelloni
-indonesian sizzler (non veg)
-pad thai noodles

-drunken chicken tandoori

if you are looking for a happy ending(pun intended) then head out to their bake studio, located right outside the restaurant and try the walnut pie...wont disappoint you for sure.
