rusty's seafood & oyster bar

had fun hanging with friends on a fair weather sunday watching cruise ships departing. ok wings and nice crispy fries.oysterswere tiny and not very good. add beer and a guy strumming guitar while singing golden oldies...pleasant weather...totals an enjoyably lazy good time!

very disappointed. my husband and i were looking for a good oyster place to eat thinking this was the place to go we were fooled. my husband ordered the captains platter which was supposed to come with a variety of seafood what he got was a joke. 2 shrimp 2 tinyoysters3 pieces of nugget size fish, and calamari spread out on a mountain of french fries. first and last time we will eat at rustys. this plate alone was 25 dollars. i will pass this along to family and friends.

theiroysterswere very good and large portions. grouper and mahi mahi were both well prepared.

great oyster and wing happy hour specials. ive recently been introduced to this restaurant - lured in by the chicken wing and oyster special (90 cents each) during their daily happy hour from 3-6. they shuck theoystersright in front of you at the inside bar and they are typically much larger than those i find in orlando. their seared tuna is also amazing! often the portion is more than expected. they also have a small bar outside as well as table seating with umbrellas.

steamed seafood platter was really good. steamedoysterswere my favorite. also, crab dip was really tasty for an appetizer. recommend to anyone staying in town.

i enjoyed the spinach salad with grilled shrimp. our waitress was sweet and helpful. only negative for me was the weak selection of draft beer. oh, theoysterswere yum!!

great great great. this was the highlight of our trip review was relaxing the band was funny server was entertainingthe fish was excellent

wonderful!. we called and cab and asked for a recommendation for casual seafood. this place was a huge hit!! we were staying at the radisson the night before leaving out on a cruise. we wanted to arrange a day after the cruise just to get the chance to eat here again! there were six of us - we had appetizers of oysters, shrimp cocktail, gator bites, and fried ravioli. all were wonderful! i could have ordered two dozen moreoystersand just had them for dinner. entrees we had were stuffed flounder, captain's platter, jumbo scallops (blackened), rusty scampi, and famous encrusted mahi mahi. all were absolutely delicious! the blackened was definitely on the spicy side - so if you don't like a little heat, you might to order them prepared differently - there are several choices. portions were more than enough. service was just perfect - didn't bother you relentlessly to the point of annoying, but always there when you needed something. and the price was very reasonable! we will probably try to pick a cruise that leaves out of port canaveral next time just to be able to eat here again!

the food and the service we're great. we were there during happy hour and ate some deliciousoysters(the best i've had in a long time) their specialty drink- the mango snapper was also very yummy!! the entrees were well portioned and were also very delicious! i had the encrusted mahi-mahi, my husband had the crab cakes. i stole a bite of his food too and their crab cakes with the romoulade sauce they serve them with are to die for!! i was very pleased with the excellent friendly service and the beautiful view as well! i think i found a new favorite restaurant!!

not a fan. this is the second time i've been here (although the first time was more than 3 years ago) and i heard they'd redone things. didn't like it very much the first time, and i have to say not that much better the second time. think i'm done trying.

the rawoystersare a great price, but they are full of mud and cracked shells. who shucks these things?

ordered the teriyaki garlic wings as well and the wings were a nice size but the sauce tasted like it was straight out of a bottle and way too sweet. i say this as someone who loves sweet, but this was too much. when the server came to clean up, she noticed it was only 1/2 eaten and we told her we didn't like it (but didn't asked to be comped or anything). she came back later and said 1/2 price would be taken off, which was really nice. when we got the bill, they took the whole thing off, which is the only thing that saved the meal for me.

nice place on the water. good food for the price. stay away from the raw oysters, whoever shucks them gets bits o shell in them, doesn't wash the mud off and doesn't cut the feet. had this happen two times i went.oysterswere also flat and dry, indicating they weren't freshly shucked. other than that, very fresh fish, friedoystersgood too
