brunch very underwhelming. i can usually ignore sub-parserviceif the food is outstanding, but when the food is bad and theserviceis bad, it makes for a bad experience. my family dined here for fathers day brunch and none of us were pleased. i had the fritatta of the day, tomato and summer squash. it was flavorless and the fried potatoes that accompanied it were bland as well. my wife had the shrimp and grits, which may have been worse than the fritatta. it also arrived over 10 minutes after the rest of our food. the sauce was very oily and the grits were grainy. bread is not served with meals, but rather sold as a side item for $5. we ordered 2 baskets of bread and they brought 6 pre-made dinner rolls to the table with 2 small pads of butter. we did however enjoy their bloody marys and mimosas. i will not be likely to return to rumors, and definitely not for brunch.

excellentservice& fantastic food! my wife & i had a variety of appetizers, the cheese plate & the butternut/apple/bourbon soup. we wanted a taste of the chef's menu. wow! everything was great. lots of great flavors. hrant is an excellent chef. i would highly recommend rumours and will be coming back again very soon.

to say that i "liked" it is a bit misleading. i am not likely to return. i felt their wine list (red) did not have a broad range of flavor (mostly very light). the cheese plate was good, the house made ravioli was good but the pasta was a bit too al denté. the beet salad was the highlight with a broad range of flavors withe the frisée and the beers and citrus. definitely a star. my wife had the mussels as her entree and they too were good. i had the duck breast. in my view, it should not have been served. the outside was charred, the duck was medium (overdone to me) but overall it was edible, it just looked awful and was not prepared as well as a restaurant like this should. the pomegranite reduction was so acidic that i could only try me best to avoid it while eating the duck. now, the moroccan spiced carrot salad was a wonderful creation. so, nothing was disgusting,servicewas very good so why am i not open to returning? for the price, it just was not as good as the prices being charged. your charge these prices and the expectation is that your food is not just good or okay, it needs to be be very good.

unbelievable. our visit occurred on a busy afternoon during the tomato art festival. while we expected the increased volume to increase the number of visitors, we also expected that the restaurant would have planned ahead for this event. we arrived just before 1pm. there was noone manning the hostess stand. we were eventually seated at about 1:05pm. the place was not full, so we expected decent service. the waiter brought us water and took our order at 1:10pm. none of the items required cooking, as they were all salad or vegetable based. at 1:40 we asked where our food was and we were told that it was en route. at 1:45, we were re-assured that the food would be there in just a second. at 1:50, the waiter walked by to bring the check to the couple that were seated ahead of us. they had ordered, eaten and paid before we even got our food. we left soon afterward and will never return. this type ofserviceis unacceptable at a fast food restaurant, let alone a restaurant that charges a premium for its food. since it never arrived, i can't comment on the quality. i can only imagine that it was prepared with the same lack of thought that the server showed us.
