this place is far too inconsistent. we go here at least once a week bc it is the local neighborhood restaurant that isn't the place with the smiley cookie or fries on the sandwich. we are pretty consistent in what we order and it's never the same twice. and more often than not, it's bad. the final straw for this place was when we went for sunday brunch. their dessert display was set up on tiers of unsupported panes of glass. a patron leaned herself on one of the panes thinking it was a real shelf and the whole thing came crashing down. glass flew everywhere including the garnish tray behind the bar. we sat in horror as we watched the staff clean up the mess, and anything that looked like it didn't land "top down" was placed back on a plate and served. we were done. i refuse to go back to a place that finds it acceptable to serve food that potentially has shattered glass through it. this happened in the front of the house. so what are they doing to your food behind closed doors? beware of this place.

wonderful food and service!. my children took me here for mother's day. my son had been telling how great their food was and what a great selection they offered. well i was not disappointed, the food was delicious and the coconut cream pie was fabulous. i was surprised at quickly we were served, unheard of on mother's day. loved the music as well, the staff was so polite. all and all a great experience and i will be back. i also referred many friends today, its a hidden gem.

one of our favorites!. we have never had a bad meal here. from the appetizers to the entrees, everything is fabulous! we are a big fan of the appetizers! i think we have tried almost all of them and love them all! our favorites are the poutine, the stuffed peppers and the zucchini. also love the bada bing shrimp and beans and greens. the seafood entrees have all been amazing too. we love the dinner specials and happy hour specials. rb now has my favorite burger - the gouda burger is as gouda as it gets!

we go as a couple, brought our family and friends. i bring my clients and co-workers here and they all rave about it. everyone we have turned on to this place are fans after their experience here. it's obvious the word is out, as it has become quite busy especially during the weekends. make ressies if you are going during peak times. i hear they have an amazing brunch. that is next on our list.

our service has always been top notch. our favorite server is drew. he is attentive and always pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu options.

the restaurant is designed and decorated perfectly. the front of the house is great for lunches and happy hour get togethers, while the rear of the restaurant is tastefully decorated for a quieter dining experience. super clean inside and convenient parking make this one of the best options in the area.

another great meal!. this was our second visit to roman bistro and it certainly won't be our last! we enjoyed the gouda burger and the blackened prime rib sandwich along with the poutine. our son had the wings and pasta. we are already planning on a return visit soon with friends. happy hour specials are great!

forest hills favorite. we were pleasantly surprised by our recent experience at roman bistro. we were looking for an italian restaurant with some seafood options for an anniversary celebration. there were 4 in our dining party on a friday night.

as you enter, there is a spacious hostess area directly across from the bar. the bar area was busy and there was also a front dining area that appeared to be filled. we arrived around 6:30 and the place was very active, but we were seated immediately. there were several dining areas in the back which provided for a more quiet dining experience for families or couples wanting to actually converse. the decor was tastefully done throughout the entire restaurant. i was impressed.

they offered some daily blackboard specials that sounded interesting. the menu had a wide variety of italian dishes, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, etc. there is something for everyone.

they offer a vast selection of craft beers and even have a cigar shop. the guys sampled some of the beer, we ladies opted for a pitcher of the house made sangria which was tasty.

we choose to try the roman style poutine for an appetizer. it was different than other poutines you may have tried, but this was amazing. we could not stop eating it!

for our entrees, 2 of us went with one of specials, halibut with sweet chili sauce. it came with white rice and snow peas. it was cooked perfectly. i only wish there would have been more of the chili sauce.

our other entrees were the sausage and gnocchi in vodka sauce - very tasty and the chicken romano which was plated perfectly and was reported as delicious.

we all ended our meal by sharing a dessert of tiramisu. it was delish.

our service was efficient, friendly and attentive.

finally, a place to go for dinner in the area that you can be sure to find a meal that will satisfy anyone in your group. prices are what you would expect for what you would select from burgers to "foodie fabulous" dining. i would recommend to others and would not hesitate to go again.

good food every time. we enjoy the consistent quality of the food, reasonable prices, their willingness to make a change to the meal when requested and we enjoy the choice of beers. not many places have more than one stout!

stopped here for lunch. we loved the draft beer selection. i got a reuben which is my standard way of rating a new place and my friend ordered the chicken parm sandwich. i thought his sandwich looked a little dry but he said it was good. while my reuben was tasty i have to say the bottom bread was a bit soggy. top piece was toasted nicely. we enjoyed the bar and the atmosphere. i would definitely go back

friday evening dinner. we were completely satisfied with our dining experience. our waitress was gracious, helpful and efficient. the food was of excellent quality for the price (which was reasonable). there were many fresh fish options available (chef specials). it was hard to choose. i had the sweet and spicy snapper. it was cooked perfectly. my husband had the mahi mahi which he described as superb. we also enjoyed a garlic shrimp appetizer which was suggested to us by our waitress. we will be back.

sucked. i went there the other day with a small group of friends. wow poor choice - i should have went to taco bell next door. the only part of the night that was enjoyable was the bartender candace. great personality, great drink and obviously the best staff member there. as i watched the bar she was available when you needed a drink bar was clean and she was able to interact with out being distracted. the service was poor. i had the burger and it was mooing when it came to the table - no sign of management. however the owner was rude to his staff and you could hear him a mile away. how do the staff members work with such a disrespectful owner? he needs to be in a different business.

italians are proud of their large, hearty "sangwiches" an italian sandwich should be filled with great meats and cheeses and it should be large enough that you can order a half or whole hoagie, that was the worst penny-pinching, stingy, cheap sandwich i ever had anywhere!!!  if you’re not going to do it right then take it off the menu and do us "sangwich" lovin italians a favor, a real italian would be embarrassed to serve that to anyone!

we've eaten there 3 times over the past year.  the food is pretty good but the service is usually slow and it's not cheap.  at our previous visit we waited quite a while for a server, and then two servers alternately waited on us for the evening, and it took forever.  we went back tonight but left without eating.  we arrived for our 6:30 reservation on time.  the hostess sat us immediately, then went to get us silverware.  for the next 15 minutes, five different servers walked back and forth past our table without anyone taking our orders, while other customers who arrived after us had water brought and their orders taken.  not one of the five servers stopped to ask if anyone had taken our order.  the hostess also walked past without asking if someone had helped us.  we asked to see the manager on the way out.  she apologized but rather than offering a free drink or appetizer, she simply offered to have our orders taken immediately.  we politely declined and left, and probably won't be back.
