very cool vibe..our first time at rock@88 moreleta park and we really enjoyed it. the food was delicious and the portions was nice and big. the ribs was so tender it fell of the bone...and the cheese grillers was definitely full of cheese. the service we good was really good..in the cold they moved a bon fire closer to us which made us warm and gave thr night a cool vibe..really south africanbraaikuier.

my first visit and what a great venue. good atmosphere and the service is great. their sirloin steak with a pepper sauce was lovely. also had theirbraaibroodtjies. very lekker. their prices are very reasonable. well done guys.

definitely not the restaurant of the century, its just a place where a group of friends can get together and have a good time. the food here is focused on good 'ol south african braais, with everything from skilpaadjies to braaibroodjies and boerewors. this place is as local as they come. like i said, its not the greatest place in the world, but if you're not in the mood tobraaibut are still keen for "braaivleis" then this is the place you need to go!

have really tasty jam jars at good prices. food is really unique, south africanbraaitype food with a really interesting twist. service is friendly and owners are often there.

what a lekke place! it tastes like food from home! the lekkerste koeksisters andbraaivleis and traditional side dishes that makes making up your own plate so fun!

bar & braai... you had me at braai... what self-respecting south african would say no to a braai, or a bar for that matter?  what started as a quick stop for dinner turned into a booking to celebrate hubbys' birthday with friends.

they have a packed menu full of mouth-watering south african favourites including the crowd-pleaser, a braaibroodjie.  so apart from the complete dishes, thebraaimenu consists of three things.... pick you meat, pick your starch, pick your sides.  anything from paptert to pampoenkoekies to pork chops.  and super affordable too since you pick how much goes onto the plate. 

we had a ball here and sadly, once again, no space for dessert.  (though the milkshakes are delicious too.)   so if you are keen to have a drink while watching the big game on one of the many flatscreens, or in the mood for abraaiwithout all the work of a braai, this is the place to be.  we'll be back.... again...

great drinks , and good jam jars , i had the jar in my pants , and my companion had thebraaibroodjie , the prices are reasonable . a lot to choose from on the menu , there is a lot of seating to choose from . unfortunately the seating and tables was really dirty. will go there again to try out the food ....

rockett 88 bar &braaiis popular and for good reason. we sat outside and enjoyed the late winter sunshine. i love that one chooses one's own combinations of food from the menu.
lamb chops, grilled on thebraaiwith boereboontjies: green beans, sliced finely and stewed with potato & onion. delicious, delicious, delicious!
the children had pampoenkoekies (pumpkin fritters) and potato bake as sides - all tasty.
service was friendly (rachel) but the food took ages to come. one is warned on the menu that it takes at least 30 min!

so we came to rocket 88 not knowing what to expect and basically drawn to it out of pure curiosity as it always looks vibey on weekends. what we found was quite amazing! great south africanbraaiflavours, thats what! great steaks, chops, chicken wings and even wors! all can be ordered in custom combinations and then topped off with traditionalbraaisides such as potato salad or my personal favourite a "braai broodjie" or even just traditional chips or salad! the prices are also excellent so you never have to hold back on portion size if you're a big eater! the decor is very pub style and rugged, with posters of old bands which adds to the experience. a very cool concept in general.

brilliant food for the traditional south african, the menu is very flexible and allows you to come up with a combination ofbraaimeats and sides to suit your taste. waiters are very friendly and some drinks specials are very well priced. a favorite in pretoria!

this place offers warm welcoming neighbourhood dining. a treasure in pretoria. the food is very unique. good quality meat and a variety of sides which you would typically find at abraaibut very delicious. they also have a variety of drink specials. the vibe is amazing. i have been here a few times and they never disappoint.
