river rocks

great view but food is overpriced for the quality. last two times i sat at the bar had lousy service. was there 2 hours with a friend and we each had one drink the whole time. they changed menu items so hoped it was better but it was pretty much the same quality. why can we not have places on the water that also have good food?

coming again. the service was really good. i loved the food. very delicious. i'm coming back for sure. i ordered a hot sandwich and it was mouthwatering. even the fries were perfect. i recommend this place to anyone. its beautiful inside too.

brevard favorite. again and again this is a favored experience. having the choice of 'white table cloth' inside or the river side/casual is enjoyable. each with it's own menu, we've had multiple and positive experiences in each.
the fried shrimp outside are simply the best!!

great food!. "last month, visiting family in rockledge my wife and i decided to dine at river rocks. we liked the way their was two separate restaurants which was neat nice to have a choice of dining experiences! we decided to sit on the dock and our hostesses (skyler)was friendly and sat us quickly at a high table with a beautiful view of the river. the food was good, i had ordered the grouper reuben and my wife ordered the cobb salad. it was very relaxing and we enjoyed the music that was very entertaining and different. i hope to return again for another grouper reuben in the near future."

out of my four dining experiences at river rocks this was by far the best. was it amazing? no. but, it was enjoyable.

i love this restaurant! mike is awesome. he saved my cell phone which i dropped in the parking lot. mike saved my life. you totally rock!

again another wonderful experience! great view, lots of choices, always consistent. good relaxed atmosphere unlike the crowded noisy place just to the south!

amazing views to go with the fresh ingredients. real veggies too! gourmet quality. not your typical " bar food" that is the same everywhere you go. this restaurant is unique and dies not compromise on quality! there is a reason the parking lot is full every day!

we chose to spend our anniversary at river rocks and, as usual, the food, service, and view of the indian river from the elegant dining room were flawless. the shrimp and grits appetizer is always a delight, the filet of beef was cooked perfectly, and the key lime pie is as good as it gets. our server was very attentive and knowledgable. river rocks made our romantic evening one we will not soon forget. thanks again!!

very good food ( a couple bumps), excellent service and nice view!. we went here after a long hiatus just because we live farther away. we had been here about a year ago for the 10am to 2pm sunday buffet and it was very good. today, we had sunday afternoon lunch. our server emily was excellent, 5 stars! emily kept our drinks full, was very friendly and efficient, and addressed all our requests quickly. we had the lobster dip, fried oysters fair (shells and sweet tomatoes pizzeria are better), and fried trawler. crab cakes were fresh and tasty, shrimp crunchy and fresh, grouper fish white and mild. oysters were a bit soggy. the clams were a bit soggy due to them being frozen and breaded. tartar and cocktail sauces are homemade, fresh and tasty. our coffee was hot (emily made a fresh pot for us) and the key lime pie was very good. my diet coke was great syrup and carbonation perfect, not all restaurants get this right. our table had a beautiful view of the river. the restaurant is nice inside and upscale. recommended.

worst easter dinner ever. i booked a reservation at river rocks 3 weeks in advance for a table out on the deck. when we arrived, the place was swarmed with people. when they finally were able to speak to us they told me they could not guarantee we would get a table out on the deck and whoever told me that i would have a table on the deck made a mistake. of course i was disappointed. then we had to wait 20 minutes for them to put a table together inside. the buffet was the most horrible i've ever seen. first, the place was way overbooked so it literally took 15-20 minutes waiting in the buffet line to get any food. by the time i got to the food, many of the choices were out, plus the food was disguistingly spread all over the table and floor. no one was there to clean anything up. the next time i got in the buffet line there were no spoons for the soup, and no clean plates. then a waitress walked by me in line and spilled a drink on my foot and didn't even apologize. the food was luke warm and just average. the bill, of course, was huge, and was incredibly embarrassed that i had ever suggested the place to my family. i did ask to speak to a manager, but he didn't even seem to care about the experience. i had to wait 15 minutes for him to come to the table, he offered to take nothing off of our bill, and didn't even stand there to listen to me for more than 2 minutes. he handed me his card and told me that next time i come in he will 'take care of us'. does he really think we ever want to come in again! i would never recommend this restaurant.

awesome, wonderful birthday celebration inside tonight. the fried whole snapper was perfect, and the blue cheese polenta was amazing!!! this chef is a genus.

dockside food is awesome, prices are very fair. those that say it's over priced don't know quality, and need to go to grills where they can buy all the premade processed(sysco) food they can eat.

will return to the outdoor space for food, drink and atmosphere. inside dining too pricey, and was not crazy about the selection for entree choices the night we were there. will def be back for the outdoor dining. fair pricing, good food and selections , beautiful atmosphere .

easter buffet-awful!. terrible experience!

bottom line, never got a chance to eat due to the swarm of love bugs outside so we decided to leave....being prepared to pay for our drinks and maybe even 2 out of the 6 buffets. oh no i was presented a bill for 6 buffets and all our drinks...i paid $190 for no food! i can't tell you if it was good or not but i can tell you, the manager that i spoke with was a complete ass and told me he couldn't help acts of nature. no kidding, but maybe we shouldn't be paying for food we didn't eat?

i will never go back and either will the folks i was with or the people around us going crazy and refusing to pay :)

we made reservations at noon for easter sunday. we get there 5 mins early and the hostess explains that we have to wait for our table to finish eating. after 20 mins, we ask the manager why our table is not ready after making reservations 3 weeks ago. he said he had 26 years experience in the business and this is what happens and he apologized. well manager, your experience sucks because waiting 30 mins after our reservation time is unacceptable watching other people get seated. if it was not for the polite and attentive staff, we would have left. also- the buffet lines were very unorganized. get it together!!!!!! utilize the 26 years of experience better.

i recommend this place. the yellow fin tuna with wasabi risotto was fabulous. a little pricey but good.
