brevard's best!! you have to visit!!. river rocks is the premiere dinning experience in brevard county!! thefoodand service are excellent!!river rocks offers that elegant dinning inside and a casual one at the dock side bar! after reading some of the reivews, it seems that many folks are confused on with what constitutes fine dinning. if you want quantity then go to a buffet, but if you want quality properly portioned entrees and great service then come visit river rocks. i think you will enjoy the experience!!

gave it three tries. it has an amazing view, the sign looks nice and the menu sounds good when you read it. the first time it was a chamber event and they served appetizers. they were terrible and couldn't even it them, second time a friend invited out for dinner and wanted to try it out. thefoodwas okay, the service was bad. the third try was the worst. we had a out of town doctor giving a lecture, there were about 30 of us and one waiter. i can't begin to tell what a bad experience it was. appetizers were cold, the soup was cold and our entree was cold. we waited so long for everything. all of the guests water glasses were empty and so were their drinks. i got up to find the manager to ask him to please help. they finally brought in the bartender and host. i am sorry but i will not return and do not recommend it.

great venue. best riverfront outdoor dining in melbourne. menu has wonderful variety and thefoodis all excellent.

disgraceful!!. my girl friend and i went there for their easter dinner buffet. we were looking forward to it since we have never ate their before. worstfoodever!!! oh my god!!! i can't believe they have the nerve to serve this crap to people. i'm not making this up, it was the worstfoodwe have had since we moved down here from ct in sept. 2013. twenty nine dollars per person so you kind of expect something half way decent...nope!! they had chicken marsala and chicken francise and both were cut into little strips and baked bone dry, no sauce what so ever. the string beans were raw not even cooked. the ham was also over cooked and dry as hell. when the warmer was empty offoodit took them 20 minutes to bring out another one. and please don't get me started on the desserts they had. hard store bought cookies and day old danish...really? we will never ever go there again, what a disgrace!! the chef should be fired for serving this crap. to top it off they charged us $1.75 extra for something called a service charge...what the hell is that? they already stole $29 from the each of us. they should change the name to "river sucks"!!!

easter brunch. our family went to river rocks for the easter buffet. service was just okay. plates were cleared but coffee refills had to be asked for. thefoodfor the most part was good. however, desserts were very disappointing. store bought cookies and brownies from a box mix did not seem suitable for a restaurant proud of their reputation. given the price of the buffet, with coffee and tea extra, we would not return.

great view butfoodis overpriced for the quality. last two times i sat at the bar had lousy service. was there 2 hours with a friend and we each had one drink the whole time. they changed menu items so hoped it was better but it was pretty much the same quality. why can we not have places on the water that also have good food?

great food!. "last month, visiting family in rockledge my wife and i decided to dine at river rocks. we liked the way their was two separate restaurants which was neat nice to have a choice of dining experiences! we decided to sit on the dock and our hostesses (skyler)was friendly and sat us quickly at a high table with a beautiful view of the river. thefoodwas good, i had ordered the grouper reuben and my wife ordered the cobb salad. it was very relaxing and we enjoyed the music that was very entertaining and different. i hope to return again for another grouper reuben in the near future."

very goodfood( a couple bumps), excellent service and nice view!. we went here after a long hiatus just because we live farther away. we had been here about a year ago for the 10am to 2pm sunday buffet and it was very good. today, we had sunday afternoon lunch. our server emily was excellent, 5 stars! emily kept our drinks full, was very friendly and efficient, and addressed all our requests quickly. we had the lobster dip, fried oysters fair (shells and sweet tomatoes pizzeria are better), and fried trawler. crab cakes were fresh and tasty, shrimp crunchy and fresh, grouper fish white and mild. oysters were a bit soggy. the clams were a bit soggy due to them being frozen and breaded. tartar and cocktail sauces are homemade, fresh and tasty. our coffee was hot (emily made a fresh pot for us) and the key lime pie was very good. my diet coke was great syrup and carbonation perfect, not all restaurants get this right. our table had a beautiful view of the river. the restaurant is nice inside and upscale. recommended.

worst easter dinner ever. i booked a reservation at river rocks 3 weeks in advance for a table out on the deck. when we arrived, the place was swarmed with people. when they finally were able to speak to us they told me they could not guarantee we would get a table out on the deck and whoever told me that i would have a table on the deck made a mistake. of course i was disappointed. then we had to wait 20 minutes for them to put a table together inside. the buffet was the most horrible i've ever seen. first, the place was way overbooked so it literally took 15-20 minutes waiting in the buffet line to get any food. by the time i got to the food, many of the choices were out, plus thefoodwas disguistingly spread all over the table and floor. no one was there to clean anything up. the next time i got in the buffet line there were no spoons for the soup, and no clean plates. then a waitress walked by me in line and spilled a drink on my foot and didn't even apologize. thefoodwas luke warm and just average. the bill, of course, was huge, and was incredibly embarrassed that i had ever suggested the place to my family. i did ask to speak to a manager, but he didn't even seem to care about the experience. i had to wait 15 minutes for him to come to the table, he offered to take nothing off of our bill, and didn't even stand there to listen to me for more than 2 minutes. he handed me his card and told me that next time i come in he will 'take care of us'. does he really think we ever want to come in again! i would never recommend this restaurant.

awesome, wonderful birthday celebration inside tonight. the fried whole snapper was perfect, and the blue cheese polenta was amazing!!! this chef is a genus.

docksidefoodis awesome, prices are very fair. those that say it's over priced don't know quality, and need to go to grills where they can buy all the premade processed(sysco)foodthey can eat.

will return to the outdoor space for food, drink and atmosphere. inside dining too pricey, and was not crazy about the selection for entree choices the night we were there. will def be back for the outdoor dining. fair pricing, goodfoodand selections , beautiful atmosphere .

easter buffet-awful!. terrible experience!

bottom line, never got a chance to eat due to the swarm of love bugs outside so we decided to leave....being prepared to pay for our drinks and maybe even 2 out of the 6 buffets. oh no i was presented a bill for 6 buffets and all our drinks...i paid $190 for no food! i can't tell you if it was good or not but i can tell you, the manager that i spoke with was a complete ass and told me he couldn't help acts of nature. no kidding, but maybe we shouldn't be paying forfoodwe didn't eat?

i will never go back and either will the folks i was with or the people around us going crazy and refusing to pay :)

nice outside atmosphere on the river.foodis average at best. better to go there for drinks not food.

horriblefood& service. dont waste your time. they were out of 4 different entrees tonight and out of the 5 entrees we ordered one was ok. we order apps and dessert which were better then the entrees but still nothing worth going back for. service was right there with the food, not good!!! manger came by told her the grouper was horrible/ over cook and she then stated it was company policy se looked to see how much was eatten already. unreal if you ask me, its sad but like i said dont waste your time or money.
