i had the chile releno #5 for lunch... excellent with enough spicy bite and of course beans and rice... large draft to wash it down!!!!! good as it gets

first visit. we had our first meal after reading several good reviews. we were not disappointed. the food was outstanding, service prompt and friendly, the clean and fresh facility very appealing. we highly recommend this as one of the best in our area. we went early (4:30) and beat the crowd and had very personal service as a result.

average. i eat at alot of mexican restaurants all over the southeast and i have to say that this one is average. we went here while on vacation and i was not impressed by service or anything. the main thing that did strike me is the food prices are a little bit pricey for mexican food. overall it was good, but average!

been eating here for 5 years, at least once a week. great food and service. the absolute best mexican in entire area - no one else even comes close!! the quality of food is so much better than the others.

effing awesome! i'm from california, and have had my fair share of mexican food. (most food for that matter) lol. this joint is hot!! finally great mex-mex in fl!!!! my husband had the giant burito and it was great! huge scoops of sour cream and guac on the side, tender, well seasoned meat perfect hint of cilantro and perfectly tender hommeade spanish rice. 16 inchs of burrito like that any day!!!!! also the menu reads that if you finish the burrito in house you get a shirt!!! i had a combo plate, chicken to be exact. a taco,chili and enchlada. all just amazing. this is real mexican food. the place was well decorated service was quick and everything ordered was correct. i don't know what else we could have asked for! well..i just hav one request, chef will you be my new sancho?!?!?! any man (or woman) who can cook that well has my heart ;)

my new favorite. i have lived in ok & tx most of my life and feel well qualified to judge (tex-)mex cuisine. rio bravo is fantastic! everything on the menu i have tried so far has been amazing and very affordable. they have great margaritas, great flavors, great service, and if you want it some serious heat on dishes is available.

pork fajitas are the best!!. rio bravo on 9mile is a regular tuesday night meal for our group of friends. we love the pork tenderloin fajitas and 2 for 1 margaritas. service has always been good, food even better. we love this place!

quality going down. i used to eat here atleast once a week when it was toro bravo. food and service were consistently great. unfortunately, since new ownership the quality of the food and cleanliness of the restaurant is steadily going down. so sad.

visitors beware. we are on vacation and wanted something different. this is not the place, poor service (waitress got several orders for our table wrong, and looked at us like it was our fault), and the food was not of good quality (soggy natchos). i do not recommend, there are plenty of good restaurants in the area.

dont go here. if you want an honest review- here it is! i have been going to toro bravo ( the restaurant thats exactly the same but name changed to rio bravo) for years. recently i have been extremely disappointed! first of all, the servers and management dont know what they are doing. the manager is rude and i get a bad feeling when i go into this restaurant. somethings not right. and the food isnt worth it. i would much rather go to mariachis which is right up the street, just dont order there ground beef. its not the best but everything else, and the people are sooooooooo much better there!
