great little hang out for live music. located in crosstown area, it is a quaint live music restaurant with pretty good food. i’ve been here twice and really enjoyed the vibe, the music and the dishes.servicewas typically pretty good. the dishes were exotic to me and i did enjoy the refreshing flavours of the appetizer dishes i had. drink selection was sufficient. i don’t recall them charging extra for the live music like some restaurants do. there are two floors for this restaurant and it’s pretty cool to watch the band from the loft area. the only drawback of the restaurant is that there is no area to dance and enjoy the music. the main door entrance opens right into the musicians floor level stage and the traffic flow is a little awkward. however, if you want to hang out and listen to music, this is a great spot. i found the price to be reasonable as well.

very cute and upbeat place! i tried the black bean veggie burger and it was delicious. made with their own guacamole for topping and a nice fresh ciabatta like bun! and french fries were unique and very tasty! def will go back and try something new! theservicewas excellent too!

great place!. i've been to the revel room on more than one occasion with groups large & small. each & every time the food has been good, theservicegood and the ambiance is great. consistency is the key to a great restaurant and these guys have it in spades. also sunday to thursday they have live music that is reflective of the menu. the menu is southern/cajun style with lots of yummy dishes. the drinks menu is in keeping with the food menu (yep, they have mint juleps!). it's not just a restaurant, it's an experience!

perfect!. kudos to the chef...friend and i had dinner at revels last night and the food andserviceblew us away. i had the special mussels as an appetizer, seasoned perfectly and served with some of the best fries i've ever had. the main, rib eye, was cooked just right and packed with flavour and dessert....well think i'll have to loosen that belt a notch once again. i'll definitely go back.

good times, but need to update the online menu. had a group booking for my birthday the other night. overall was pleased with my meal and drinks, but was a little disappointed to see that they had not updated their menu online, because many of my guests were let down after being told many of their orders couldn't be accommodated because they were either not on the menu anymore or sold out. we manged to find other items and overall the food was good.

the chicken bites were really good, mac and cheese i think could benefit from a more flavorful cheese as it was too bland, other than the ham which was only on the top of the dish. snapper was delicious.

overall i liked the location, but it felt a little cramped upstairs with two other large groups packed in side by side, we could barely get out of our seats at times, which was a bit of a challenge when trying to visit with some of the people on the other end of the table, and couldn't really hear each other if you were more than a seat down.servicewas also a little slow at times, just due to how packed it was.

i would like to give it another go, but maybe with a smaller group.

the bartender is pretentious and unkept. my friends and myself were asked to move, which is fine, but was done without class and hint of self respect. this place has definitely lost touch of what it means to be in theserviceindustry. definitely do not recommend this place!!

i'd give this place a 4/5. theserviceis great and they've accommodated my reservations so many times when other places were full 2 weeks in advance with short reservation windows. the food is solid, nothing amazing but all done well. the abaca do fries are good, as are the tacos. i really liked their basic burger, while their cajun shrimp got a little soggy too fast in the accompanying vinaigrette.

the best feature in my opinion are the cocktails. they have a wide selection of reasonably priced and sized cocktails, including several sangria style beverages.

overall, it's nothing fancy, but as i said, it's solid, theserviceis reliable and the drinks are great. revel room makes a good place to start your night downtown.

horrible management. worstservicei have received in the city. as mentioned in many previous comments gm has an attitude problem and treats the customers poorly.

quick bite. i've been to the revel room twice now, once for a late night snack, the menu is quite limited but so tasty, we had an amazing pull porked sandwhich and they're braised short ribs, perfect serving for a late night snack. very nice ambiance, with their little loft with a few more tables. also went for a quick bite before a show and same great service, quick and tasty food. i've heard they alsoservicewarm cookies and milk before their late night menu starts? definitely looking forward to trying this...enjoy!
