redhot& blue is a memphis style bbq joint in laurel, maryland. my grandfather loves this place and says it has consistently good food. for starters we ordered the house nachos - a choice of chili, pulled chicken or pulled pork topped with a crazy amount of jack & cheddar cheeses, green onions, tomatoes and jalapeños. there wasn't a single spot that was not covered in cheese, plus the flour tortilla chips were sturdy and held up nice & crispy under the weigh of the cheese.  while my grandparents, brother charles and mom looked over the menu, the restaurant played some pretty cool jazz over the speaker system. we choose to put three of the toppings on the side instead of adding them to the nachos cheesy mix. that way each of us could take a little or a lot on each bite.  the weekday lunch special was the best buy at $6.99 that includes a variety of lunch size sandwiches, salad and soup entrees. however, since charles and i both wanted to try the pulled pork sandwich and ribs, we ordere

good food change of pace. this past sunday the family visited redhot& blue after a multi-year hiatus. there was no real reason we stopped going. it just happened. today we stopped back. the inside layout still has the rock band pig decor. it's pleasant and enjoyable but tired.

we were seated quickly and served by a great guy that knew his job. he took the time to re-orient us to their menu. specifically, it was nice to know they consider themselves a memphis style of bbq.

we ordered a brisket potato, brunswick stew, pulled pork sandwich and chicken fried steak. the stew was tops! it had pulled beef, chicken and pork in a tomato base. it was great. my sandwich was filled with tender pulled pork. i liked the coleslaw (memphis style). the potato was well done and balanced to have extra toppings with each bite. the chicken fried steak was chewy. we did not finish it. the potato salad was nothotor cold and didn't have much flavor.

it was a really nice visit with tasty food. they could cut back on the portions and lower the price. it was a lot of food, too much. i'll give a pass on the bad fried steak. that happens more often than not. i know not to order that unless i have heard first hand it is good.

i was mostly interested in their burgers and they carry a few burgers on their menu. we ordered the “all-in” burger with pulled pork, onion rings, and cheese and their hoochie coochie cajun burger with cajun spices and their hottest bbq sauce on. we ordered both burgers medium rare. the wait was ten minutes or so and the burgers looked pretty good when they came out. the burgers were cooked perfectly medium rare and they were both very juicy and had a meaty taste that was quite wonderful. the all-in burger had nicely cooked pulled pork that was smoky and very well made. the cajun burger was nothotat all. after dressing it with morehotsauce it got better, but it was never veryhotat any time. the fries were store bought regular frozen fries and nothing special, but still cr

food makes me blue.. folks save yourself some money and take the kids home and fix them a hotdog and fries. the redhotblue o n. central is probably better than the plano location but the food is just marginal and you pay a hefty price for a heartburn. why do people go to restaurants and pay big money for terrible food and has always amazed me and then you see reviews where people just love this junk. go figure.

not the best redhotand blue. we frequented the redhotand blue restaurants in fairfax and alexandira, this one is a disappointment. i don't know what it is, but it's just not as good.

it should be called redhotand boo. went in for dinner: service was good but i had a brisket sandwich and "wet" ribs. the meat didn't taste "smoked" it was as if someone cooked it in an oven and slathered a cheap sauce on it. i sent it back promptly. disappointing but should have known better if i didn't smell or see smoke when i pulled up. save your money and go elsewhere.

why waste the money. the only good thing about this place was the service...and i sat at the bar. the food is not real bbq it is a sad imitation. also the sides be prepared to "doctor" them withhotsauce, salt, pepper, and still be disappointed. if you want to sit in a quite place this will be a great choice.

redhotand good!!. apparently this is a chain which i didn't realize when i was there because it had a sort of quaint feeling. we found it because there was a sign on 95 so we went off the exit to find it and our gps was not cooperating (not unusual for betty-we named our gps) so it took a couple minutes to find but not that long and i'm glad we did. it was in a brick building along a laurel street (with lots of snow). their logo is 2 pigs playing a guitar and they are all over inside as well as pics of blues singers and the music to go with it. the waiter was very attentive and friendly. our table got wings, not sure how we ordered them but i think we got some dry and then some spicy, i liked the dry ones better. we also got ribs, we got wet and dry, i liked the wet ones better. the ribs were slow cooked and had a nice sauce on them. nice and tender. i also liked their fries but felt they should of had more choices on the sides, way to many starches. had an ice tea with free refills. if i'm in that area again i would stop.
