food is pricey but relatively cheaper as compared to the other posh restaurants at city of dreams. we thought servings are small so my husband and i got an order of nasi goreng jakarta, char kway teow and mixed green salad but their main dishes are already good for sharing.

the salad is very refreshing - i like the coriander-lime dressing. i ordered the nasigoreng jakarta because based on the reviews here, it's their bestseller. it was just okay. i'm not a fan of the rice- the shrimp paste flavor was too strong for me. the reason we chose to eat here was that my husband misses singaporean food, especially the char kway teow. when it was served, we were surprised at how big the serving was. as for the taste, it's two thumbs up for him. i also love the calamansi juice with honey that i had.

we were a group of 10 dining in for dinner. base on their menu i think its a combination of thai and vietnamese cuisine.

we ordered the following and here's what we think about it.

pork baby ribs, sticky palm sugar glaze
p750.00. a bit salty to my taste. but goes well with rice. tender and is served big.

singaporean crispy grouper
deep fried 600 gram whole grouper with garlic and peppercorns, served with singapore chili sauce p 960.00. a whole lapu-lapu, if grouper doesn't sound familiar, deep fried. the fish was not meaty. the sauce is delicious but it was not chili, their menu described.

wok fried morning glory
preserved yellow beans and oyster sauce p180.00 & stir-fried snow pea, soya sprouts
baby corn and chive flowers p250.00. we are not much of veggie eater but these are superb. it tastes as good as its smell. highly recommended.

duck spring rolls. this is also highly recommended an order consist of 6 spring rolls and a yummy dip.

dark chocolate tart p225. sinfully delicious and healthy. the thick dark chocolate was an overkill though.

service is fast. we didn't have to wait long for our orders. staff was courteous and attentive. ambiance is ok, nothing special not too fancy. its open 24hrs so if you're checked in one of city of dream's hotel just drop by anytime.

while waiting for my sister's flight to arrive last dec. 2015, my mom and i went to cod for the first time. walked around the commercial area looking for a place to eat and red ginger appealed to us the most. we ordered a salad and their nasi goreng as dinner. the salad is just ordinary but the nasi goreng was nice! it can be compared to the nasi goreng of the likes of ninak and even of the nasi gorengs i had in singapore! will be my place to dine in whenever in cod.

the place is clean and our table server is good. the waiting time for our food is not too much but they served all our orders nearly at the same time. so we have to eat our appetizers but when we ate our main course, it is not warm anymore. maybe you should ask them to give intervals for serving the food or inform them whenever you want it to be served already. anyway, we ordered the 'gai yang' thing and my auntie is not happy for how it has been served. the chicken is not cooked well in some parts. i ordered the pork belly and i am happy with the taste. i really like it but it taste like nothing special. the papaya salad has two options: spicy or not but you can ask if you want it less spicy. my auntie want it less spicy. i found something like lime slices and i accidentally ate it. dang! so yucky!!! 😭😭 i hate eating unpeeled limes, lemons or calamansi. who wants it anyway? maybe they should put a zwst of it instead. the tofu thing is quite oily and it feels like 'ginisa sa kamatis' with a thick coating. i like the calamansi with honey drink anyway. my auntie ordered a tea with jasmine and i think she enjoyed it than the rest of the food.
the presentation is good and they have big servings while the food is kinda pricey.

i llllllooooooooovvvvvvveeeeeee their chocolate tart!!!!! the chocolate is sooo creamy and it melts in your mouth plus their cake slices are so big so it is good for sharing. i love the place and the ambiance, a good place to bring your special someone. and they also serve bundaberg ginger beer (it's not actually a beer, it's just a soda, i'm not sure why they called it a beer but maybe it's because of how they fermented the soda), which according to my aussie relatives are hard to find here in the philippines, it is made in australia. around php 1500-2000 for two persons.

we go here frequent because they are an accredited outlet for gaming point vouchers.

offers good food but the service is just bad -- as usual.

they've got the right blend of tamarind in their dish, that you can feel its flavor without masking that smoky pork belly goodness. the best part is that it perfectly matches the nasi goreng that we ordered, making it hard for me to stay faithful to my low carb diet commitment.

we were invited to here by a family friend.  food was good.  asian fusion.. more of indonesian cuisine.  i very much enjoyed the wok fried rice noodles which they named char kway teow.  i am not familiar with the names of the dishes.  you really must read the description to know what you will be eating.  takes time though to call on the staff, they seem to be always busy.  i do not know if it is because it was saturday lunch.

i really liked the bowl where they placed the rice.  very elegant, beautiful dinnerware.

red ginger exceeded our expectations. lots of customers dine at this restaurant so we decided to take a chance. and goodness, their food hit that sweet spot in our tummies. their ingredients consisted of oriental spices that jumpstarted our appetite. we totally enjoyed our dining experience here.

had a really wonderful experience in red ginger. we had our reservation here for our post christmas family dinner. it's a tour of asian cuisines. we asked to be served of their best sellers and most recommended. we had their popiah platter as appetizers (4). then we went on to their stir fried vegetables (5), honey and tamarind glazed pork belly (3.5), crispy singaporean (sweet & sour) grouper (4), char kway teow (4.5), authentic nasi goreng jakarta (5). for dessert, we had the peanut (4.5). it was really a good restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. didn't get to try their refreshments though. will come back soon.

ate here for an early dinner with my family. there were a lot of empty tables while we ate but we passed by again after ~4 hours and it was packed. i had their yellowfin tuna and beef rendang. they both tasted wonderful. i think the tuna wasn't seared in high enough heat because the color looked off but it still tasted great. the acidity was refreshing. the beef rendang was spicy and so, so tender it was falling apart on the plate. we also had their chocolate green tea cake which was highly recommended but it was a bit disappointing for me, you could hardly taste the green tea at all ☹ it was nice and moist though.

food proportion is just right for one person. food too is well prepared. ambience is very welcoming because of its modern feel and courteous staff. however, it is usually full on weekends lunch and dinner bec of influx of casino players claiming free meal vouchers from the casino.

red ginger is a fine dining restaurant that serves a south east asian food in city of dreams. among the restaurants there, this really caught our attention because of its interior design (very edgy and modern) as well as their wide array of menu. they serve good food in a very classy way and never have i imagined that it would be so delicious as it looked. perfect for dates and family lunch/dinner. we also tried the matcha-chocolate cake to cap off the meals that we ate. nyum!
