pay for the view, but a decent happy hour. nothing to write home about, because, really, you're paying for theatmosphereand the location. it's usually very loud inside so i chose to sit on the patio if i can. i've been twice during "regular" hours and paid quite the price for drinks, ok sushi, and bland seafood dishes. during happy hour the drink, sushi, and appetizer specials make this place at least somewhat worthwhile. service has always been great; attentive, fast, and during a monsoon rain burst they helped my group move to a covered table when they couldn't find an open one inside.
show up early to happy hour and avoid the wait to be seated. i don't think their "specialty" drinks like the blushing geisha are worth the price, ever, but they are fun to try at least once. stick with the beer, sake, or well drink specials instead and have yourself some edamame.
the wasabi mashed potatoes are so good, but i'm sure you could make them at home for pennies compared to ra.
