pusser's bar and grille

our party of six ordered six different things -- all tasted the same. a slighty sweet sauce covers most entrees and the accompanying sides. known for their rum drinks, but the rum drinks we sampled were nothing special but they were expensive.

awesome experience!. my husband and i took my mother-in-law to pusser's for mother's day and were very impressed! service was great and the appetizer (firecracker shrimp), as well as all 3 entrees (coconut shrimp, grouper and shrimp & grits) were flawless! we sat at a table outside with an umbrella and had a wonderful dining experience! prices are reasonable and the food is well worth the money, unlike some ponte vedra restaurants. we will definitely return!

pussers is great!. i love the atmosphere and the crab dip appetizer is the best. they have a great variety of dishes. i had the coconut shrimp which was very tasty. i can't wait to go back and try something new next time.

everyone we've encountered has been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. they have a knack for making you feel welcome and comfortable. they truly seem to be enjoying their jobs, which is a plus. kudos to the entire front of the house staff.

pleasantly surprised at nice vibe and atmosphere......drinks....and above average food.

pussers painkillers are one of my favorite drinks and they have three levels....all with differing rum levels.

the salad we had and the shrimp and grits were outstanding. may be the best ever for me.

i had a mission india pale ale too. ponce was our server/bartender and also gave us some info in where to go in st. augustine too.

we came here based on a reco from our server the night before at sea porch.

we had a really great lunch with friends and their two dogs. our waitress was extremely kind in providing a water bowl and allowing us to stay at our table for an extended time. service was a solid 4.

our food was tasty and prompt. the crab dip was very good. we also had their signature drink “painkiller” which was good. the tacos were cooked well and had a great sauce. the lobster roll was lobster and lettuce - the bread was spilt toast and would have done well on an actual roll. at 15.95, i would have expected the portion to be larger. the menu had a great selection and the waitress made great recommendations. i would rate the food a 3...the prices were moderately high and not very large. it was within walking distance from the sawgrass too.

service was friendly and quick. really enjoyed our meals. beautiful setting beside the pond and waterfall. valet parking included a nice touch.

the crab dip was amazing! it's obvious why it's award winning! john had the shepherds pie. he said he wouldn't have dreams about it...but it was tasty. the fresh baked bread was as expected. my bbq salmon was fantastic. wonderful flavor. veggies were coldish and had an "ok" flavor. the rice cake and mashed yams i was not impressed with. the service was wonderful. we will be back to have the crab dip again and try different entrees.

first of all, i avoided this place for years since the name just sounds like pus... not very appetizing. the location is very pleasant, the staff is welcoming, and it feels relaxed. the food was alright, nothing to freak out over. i had the special of the day--a wrap with mushrooms, onions and steak. it was very bland, meat was tough. my guest had pineapple rice in a caribbean sauce topped with salmon... absolutely delicious. gave it a 3.5 because my meal wasn't exactly "special". nice place, just nothing unique.

50 plus hangout for cheap drinks. food- overly expensive for the quality and limited selection.
crowd- pretty much retirees feasting on cheap drink specials.

need new chef @ ponte vedra location!!!. has been favorite restaurant for 5+ years until tonite. overcooked inedible calimari w/consistancy of worms, overcooked inedible coconut shrimp, terrible tasting shrimp pad thai, undercooked crabcakes, pina coladas were way too icy, and prices too high for what you get. on the good side, the blue cheese chips appetizer is to die for and the service was excellent but i won't ever go back after tonite's experience!

its like a high school sweetheart. pusser's is an annapolis staple and as such it is a great place to grab a drink and sit on the dock watching the boats come in. the food is decent, the drink do the trick...all of that being said this review is not about the location or the food. it is instead about the wait staff and the customer service. before i go on i should tell you i had a bad experience there and thus this review. but you should also know that i have been going to pusser's for years on my annual vacation to annapolis.

this years visit was a train wreck. the service was pour to say the least, the worst i've seen it.

it was the first day of my vacation and i left my card in the folder when i paid, definitely my fault. however i was not able to get it back when i realized an hour later. the card was "lost". i will spare you the details but i talked with managers and wait staff and no luck. i canceled my card and the next day i went back to see about the card with my server from the day before. strangley she didn't recognize me but when i asked about the card she seemed shock and went looking for my card. she returned it without asking my name or knowing what kind of card i was looking for. the kicker is that the manager on duty said that she never asked them for the card, which they keep locked in a safe if someone finds one. so i have made a long story long and i apologize, to sum up, watch your money and don't trust the staff. however, enjoy the view, its killer.

great atmosphere for cocktails -not dinner. dinner tonight was grouper ponte vedra, ahi tuna entree, and a cheeseburger. by far - the $8.95 cheeseburger was the best entree on the table. everything was bland and boring... sorry would not go back for a "nice" dinner. you need to re-evaluate your cooks/chef. your prices far outweigh the quality.

came for easter lunch with the family and had to wait more than 40 minutes for the food to make it to the table. when it got here it was luke warm and underwhelming. no plans on coming back.

cold reception everytime. my wife and i have "attempted" to patronize this restaurant/bar twice in the last two weeks. both time, young, seemingly uninterested greeters informed us that either the downstairs bar was closed or the upstairs bar was closed. both time around 9pm. just seems the place is not that welcoming and need some adults to run the place. we frequent restaurants often and losing business is never a good thing. we move from st. augustine, and i can tell you the atmosphere a most of the bar and grills are leaps and bounds over pvb...just plain boring and staff seemingly bored as well.

rude staff and bored greeters. come on folks, can't you muster a little faux enthusiasm when a patron walks into the door? been there twice recently and both times; cold reception and just plain disinterested in welcoming anyone. no wonder the ratings are so poor.

do us a favor and close to make room for a restaurant that caters to their patrons.
