the pizzas were very chewy and taste wise average. the vegan pizza dish did not taste well. the fish was okay but the flavouring could be better. the pumpkinsoupwas okay, the addition of pumpkin seeds did not do any good. the overall experience was not great and needs a lot of improvement

i looked at the menu and was a little overwhelmed by the list! so, i went with the pumpkin soup. it doesn't sound as delightful, but it was the best-decision-ever!

thesouphad this slightly glazed orange texture with a tiny trail of cream, topped with pumpkin seeds. it was just right to drink up when it was brought in. (big plus, because i constantly burn my tongue when i order soups. i'm an impatient child.) and most importantly. it didn't taste like pumpkin. you'll get just a hint of it.

i was in a hurry and ordered only this. but it is the best pumpkinsoupi've ever had!

i went during christmas last year, and the decor was minimal but very elegant. the staff was welcoming. and the seating allows for adequate privacy but doesn't keep you hidden in case you want service.

this is a late review as i had been to pumpkin tales over two months ago. once for breakfast and once for lunch.
the breakfast was a quick affair as i just needed a place to sit and work, but they did serve a wonderful mexican bowl and hot chocolate.
the first time i had been here however was because my friend and i were craving for pumpkinsoupand we placed our bets on the restaurant which had the name of the vegetable!
we were not disappointed. we did not eat anything else that lunch, just two big bowls of pumpkinsoupand two contented tummies behind it.

to begin with, not a big fan of veg soup. it says pumpkinsouphad originated from french cuisine and i had never tried it until today. looks like the universe saved it for the best. thissoupwas a perfect blend of flavours and thick consistency, the best part was the crunch bite that u get from the pumpkin seed itself which is added to the soup. its not just thesoupeverything that i tried in this place was fantastic and had never got so satisfied with veg food until i found this place. i’m saving non-veg until next time and they do have meat and seafood versions as well on starters and main course. must try all their dishes they are divine and authentic

dropped in for lunch on a saturday aka vegetarian day for me. ordered mushroomsoup(2/3) and pierogi for starters.soupwas delicious and pierogi was good as well the with hung curd & chili oil on the side. we ordered burmese noodles and vegan sausages calzone. burmese noodles with tofu and shitake mushrooms lacked salt, but after adding the same it was good. major let down was the calzone with vegan sausages, maybe it wasn't up to our liking because we have had better sausages. for desserts we ordered salted caramel tart from the counter, it tasted good. special mention to our attender ms karishma.
i guess the nonveg items on the menu would be impressive. will update my review when i check them out again.
for 2.5 members ( 0.5 because kid😛) we paid 500 per person.

pumpkin tales --> have heard lots of tales 😜 about this place and was in my wishlist for the longest time. went here finally for dinner. we were four people and i would say i had very high expectations of this restaurant which i would say was met suitably.

we ordered the following, the ones with ❤ besides were our personal favorites.
# pumpkinsoup❤ (why not at pumpkin tales ?)
# chicken wings ❤
# chimichurri prawns
# za'atar grilled fish
# kase haloumi ❤
# bibimbap (tofu) ❤
# cafe mocha ❤
# mayan cacao
# vietnamese cold coffee
# pistachio gelato
# coffee gelato ❤

overall the dining experience was great, the environment is comfortable and pleasant ambience. food was tasty as ❤ mentioned above. we felt the prices are on the higher-end for the portions served. had the price to quantity ratio been better, it would definitely be a bang for the buck. else there is no downside to the quality and taste in the food.

the review is completely based on my taste buds and my love for food. (no influence)..

thank you 🙏

i love your food and quality and quantity of veggies but why does everything have to be spicy. why are there chilli flakes in pasta, whyy is the tomatosoupspicy. please send spices separately if you want. that's why i order rarely

this is definitely one of my most favourite places to eat in chennai. the food is of great quality, the staff are extremely courteous and they serve a variety of food you may otherwise not find elsewhere easily. their pumpkinsoupand mamak mee goreng are the best. pumpkin tales is a great find. thanks for the lovely experience. can’t wait to return for some more!

this is my 3rd visit here. i enjoyed their breakfast, sadly they didn't have the breakfast options through the day. my second visit, was during a diet so their healthy bowl was a great option for me to eat healthy while eating out.

today's was a family dinner and i had the time to observe how poor the service is. each time i had to get up and call a waitress to take our orders. we ordered wheat noodles and a burger bowl. both were underwhelming. the cauliflower zucchini fritters and tempeh were under seasoned, almost bland. thesoupwas food. desserts were great.

perhaps its just good enough for a family dinner or celebration. more suited for a laid back brunch.

must visit place .. awesome and fast service . the only drawback i felt was the restroom and wash area. was literally stinking.

coming to the food , ordered bimbimbap, wontonsoupand strawberry parfait.. thesoupand bimbimbap were out of the world . would definitely go back for thesoup. the parfait was bland and i really didn’t find it tasty. pretty good service. a bit on the costlier side but worth the money

extremely overrated!!

i happened to visit this place on a sunday evening with my family of 4, booked my seats and was there on time. it took a solid 15 mins before they served you water and took your order and another 40 minutes before they servedsoup(pumpkinsoupand fennel tomato soup) which was supposed to be 1 by 2 apparently they gave me 1 full soup. their appetisers which is titled “small bites” sure goes by its name wrt the portion served vis-à-vis price you end up paying. followed by the entree’s were thai green curry, veg pizza and a veg pad thai. it took a solid 35-40 mins and fromsoupto entrees were all served at once. irony is they identify themselves as gourmet.

we were extremely hungry and apparently gave another order for a extra rice and thai curry and after 15 mins we came to know that the order was not placed. the last nail in the coffin. i’ve asked for a bill and literally was waiting to leave this place. the owner herself has understood the situation and acknowledged the bad service.

after paying ₹2100 to them, i apparently have to visit sangeetha hotel nearby to fulfil my hunger. i wouldn’t ask you not to visit this restaurant, i can only speak for myself. i’ve made up my mind never to step inside this place another time, even if someone is paying for.

pumpkin tales has always been a family favourite. their pumpkinsoupis out of the world and so was their rainbow pasta. however my most recent experience was not as good as the rest.

usp: they keep switching up their menus as per the seasonal ingredients which makes each visiting exciting.

•we ordered sesame chicken bits as an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious! balanced yet zingy, it was a burst of flavour with a concentrated sauce that made you go back for more.

for main course, we ordered their mee goreng and chicken steak.

•as for the mee goreng, the balance was off. it was very ketchup-y and could only taste a hint of the kecap manis. as a result it didn't achieve the sweet and savoury balance. there were also a lot of tomatoes taking away from that glazy sticky texture that one expects of a mee goreng

• the chicken steak comes with a side of cauliflower rice and mushroom sauce. the chicken itself was beautiful however the mushroom sauce was the exact opposite. a sauce such as this must be rich in flavour and velvety from all that cooking down. however the on we received was mostly thickened from an excess addition of starch and lacked depth. it felt like a sauce made out of cubes and that was a slight disappointment.

overall, out of my four visits this is the only time when pumpkin tales had let me down. however this was my first visit after almost a year and a half.  i felt like the prices were too high for what i received. it was an above average experience but not satisfactory as per usual/before. hope they can improve!
