the pizzas were very chewy and taste wise average. the vegan pizza dish did not taste well. the fish was okay but the flavouring could be better. thepumpkinsoup was okay, the addition ofpumpkinseeds did not do any good. the overall experience was not great and needs a lot of improvement

not your usual cafe which serves the usual finger food and american.pumpkintales serves singaporean, thai and continental food. i tried their chicken rice bowl and burmese shan noodles for lunch. both the dishes amazed me. the portion size was very well good enough for one. if you are an average eater, the portion size can fit two. talking about the chicken rice bowl, they serve jasmine rice along with eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes and grillen chicken thigh. siracha sauce is also provided to add more spice and flavor to your dish. absolutely loved this one. the jasmine rice had it’s own flavour which very well adds essence to the dish. moving on to the burmese shan noodles, it was served with tomato chilli sauce, fermented soy, fried peanuts, celery, fried onions, and chicken tenders. this mixed well together tasted absolutely delicious. it was really crunchy and the rice noodle was really good and soupy. the portion was big for me to finish it. talking about the dessert i tried here, the manager suggested to try their coffee walnut cake. something new which i haven’t come across, i tried it out. it was crumbly topped with walnuts and the kick of coffee in it. loved it. this place is amazing to try out new food. i felt all the dishes were a bit pricey. but definitely worth a try! the taste and quality definitely makes up for the price.

one of the best places in chennai with a very refreshing menu and nicely done interiors. do try their spicedpumpkinmuffin. we also happened to run into 2 csk players who were dining at this place. :)

i looked at the menu and was a little overwhelmed by the list! so, i went with thepumpkinsoup. it doesn't sound as delightful, but it was the best-decision-ever!

the soup had this slightly glazed orange texture with a tiny trail of cream, topped withpumpkinseeds. it was just right to drink up when it was brought in. (big plus, because i constantly burn my tongue when i order soups. i'm an impatient child.) and most importantly. it didn't taste like pumpkin. you'll get just a hint of it.

i was in a hurry and ordered only this. but it is the bestpumpkinsoup i've ever had!

i went during christmas last year, and the decor was minimal but very elegant. the staff was welcoming. and the seating allows for adequate privacy but doesn't keep you hidden in case you want service.

this is a late review as i had been topumpkintales over two months ago. once for breakfast and once for lunch.
the breakfast was a quick affair as i just needed a place to sit and work, but they did serve a wonderful mexican bowl and hot chocolate.
the first time i had been here however was because my friend and i were craving forpumpkinsoup and we placed our bets on the restaurant which had the name of the vegetable!
we were not disappointed. we did not eat anything else that lunch, just two big bowls ofpumpkinsoup and two contented tummies behind it.

the bibimbap was delicious and theirpumpkinsoup was the best. it was nice place to chill with friends and the food was quite good. bit pricey but worth a try

to begin with, not a big fan of veg soup. it sayspumpkinsoup had originated from french cuisine and i had never tried it until today. looks like the universe saved it for the best. this soup was a perfect blend of flavours and thick consistency, the best part was the crunch bite that u get from thepumpkinseed itself which is added to the soup. its not just the soup everything that i tried in this place was fantastic and had never got so satisfied with veg food until i found this place. i’m saving non-veg until next time and they do have meat and seafood versions as well on starters and main course. must try all their dishes they are divine and authentic

the only reason i gave 3 stars is becausepumpkintales feels they have to add chilli flakes to everything. the pizza which was lovely was totally spoilt for me because all i could taste was strong chilli flakes. don't you think the customer should decide if they want chilli flakes. please send separately if you must.

there was no maple syrup no whipped cream only 3 mini size dry pancakes with some choccjips were like a sugar free tablets so it does become apumpkintale to tell u charge 375 rupees for what

after spending 2 hours at the livspace store, decided to have dinner at nearby restaurant and went forpumpkintales looking at zomato reviews. this restaurant has an american vibe to it and serve only continental. ordered veg sausage, roasted veg bread which is actually pizza as we would call it , two drinks and veg rice bowls. this restaurant makes sense if you are in us and need to eat something close to indian food. being in india and having to spend 1800/2 on a a casual dinner at a continental restaurant is not appealing. the roasted veg was a regular thin crust pizza you get at regular pizza chain. veg sausage was so so. hot chocolate was good.

we went topumpkintales reading the raving reviews only to get disappointed. we went around 5:30 pm, extremely hungry and excited, were handed menu, which normally indicates that the food was available unless mentioned specifically by the staff. but when we were to place order, she said that majority of dinner options are not available until 6 pm. i do not understand this policy nor the fact that the staff don't even inform the customer beforehand. without any options, we were too hungry so decided to get a grilled chicken sandwich and order mains later. what we got was a burger (we checked with staff and apparently sandwiches come in burger bun) with lots of lettuce and cooked max chicken, which cost a whooping 350+. if it at least tasted good, i would have been satisfied but this felt like a ripoff. guess i'll just take my business else where at least customer is informed properly.

pumpkin tales --> have heard lots of tales 😜 about this place and was in my wishlist for the longest time. went here finally for dinner. we were four people and i would say i had very high expectations of this restaurant which i would say was met suitably.

overall the dining experience was great, the environment is comfortable and pleasant ambience. food was tasty as ❤ mentioned above. we felt the prices are on the higher-end for the portions served. had the price to quantity ratio been better, it would definitely be a bang for the buck. else there is no downside to the quality and taste in the food.

the review is completely based on my taste buds and my love for food. (no influence)..

a good place to spend a relaxed dining . good food with pleasant taste and the way its presented. if you're so particular abut the cutlery and ambience ,just go for it. never miss out theirpumpkinsoup. quality and quanitity meets its level.

price has been hiked by 25% in recent times without any benefit to consumers be it quantity or quality

this is definitely one of my most favourite places to eat in chennai. the food is of great quality, the staff are extremely courteous and they serve a variety of food you may otherwise not find elsewhere easily. theirpumpkinsoup and mamak mee goreng are the best.pumpkintales is a great find. thanks for the lovely experience. can’t wait to return for some more!
