this is a late review as i had been to pumpkin tales over two months ago. once forbreakfastand once for lunch.
thebreakfastwas a quick affair as i just needed a place to sit and work, but they did serve a wonderful mexican bowl and hot chocolate.
the first time i had been here however was because my friend and i were craving for pumpkin soup and we placed our bets on the restaurant which had the name of the vegetable!
we were not disappointed. we did not eat anything else that lunch, just two big bowls of pumpkin soup and two contented tummies behind it.

this is my 3rd visit here. i enjoyed their breakfast, sadly they didn't have thebreakfastoptions through the day. my second visit, was during a diet so their healthy bowl was a great option for me to eat healthy while eating out.

today's was a family dinner and i had the time to observe how poor the service is. each time i had to get up and call a waitress to take our orders. we ordered wheat noodles and a burger bowl. both were underwhelming. the cauliflower zucchini fritters and tempeh were under seasoned, almost bland. the soup was food. desserts were great.

perhaps its just good enough for a family dinner or celebration. more suited for a laid back brunch.

pumpkin tales is hands down one of the best restaurants in the city! there’s something about the receipes, the quality of ingredients used or just the smiling service that completely changes the ball game for dishes that’s served!

i absolutely love theirbreakfastmenu, and their eggs benedict and kaya toast has very special place in my heart! every bite is a flavour bomb and truly shoots waves of happy hormones down the entire body!

you’ve to experience it to know i’m not kidding. food coma guaranteed.

also, i love the fact that their menu has ample veg and non veg options - ensuring there’s something for everyone!

while the food pricing may seem to be a little on the expensive side, trust me when i say it’s value for money. the quality of ingredients, the portion size and the flavour bombs ensures you leave with a happy tummy and a happy soul!

this place is about 16km away one way from my place but i visit this place at every available opportunity for breakfast. one of the top reason being the timing. one of the fewbreakfastplace which actually opens at the time for breakfast. the spread is one of the best. must try- konjee, meat lovers omlette, cheese toast on sourdough bread, salmon benedict, breakfasthash and i could go on and on. if this was any nearer to my place, i probably would have had all my meals there. i couldn’t love this place more. the decor is gorgeous with a cheerful vibe. they also have a keto friendly menu. if you are into breads, don’t forget to check out their bakery at the ground floor. i wish they open more venues and one close to my home 😊

my friend and i went for sunday breakfast. the ambience was good. people usually come for coffee and omlette in the morning.
shakes were fine but a bit over priced. we tried sea cold coffee and peanut butter shake named as some monkey which were decent.
the two morning glorybreakfastbowls that is congee andbreakfasthash were not good. both the bowls were left with 70% of the food.

honestly i want to give them a better rating but i can't.
the service was way too slow and i almost slept off before my food was served and it puts you off when you're hungry!
was here forbreakfastlast week and had thebreakfasthash, mexican scrambled eggs, belt sandwich and the granola with cold milk. also had the hot chocolate and cold chocolate. the food was really yummy! but the slow service put me off big time.
i dont understand why readymade granola takes so long to be served and i had specifically asked them for abreakfasthash without mushrooms and yet found mushrooms in it!!!

i do not write too many reviews, and only do when very impressed. i had recently visited pumpkin tales with my family for dinner. the brilliance about this place was that every single dish we ordered was incredible. be it the pumpkin soup (undersalted but soulful), the vegetarian aubergine pizza (the addition of figs - inspired), the khow suey (probably the pick of the mains), the balinese curry with rice, the grilled fish and the shakshukha (did not regret eating such a deliciousbreakfastitem for dinner, and definitely yum)

each dish was amazing and the portions were huge. the mango sorbet (very seasonal) came highly recommended. despite us being super full, we polished the sorbet and the rather tasty cheese cake. could go again just for the sorbet.

overall a very pleasant experience.

pumpkin tales!!!! firstly kudos for the courteous nature of the staff, surely a splendid service they provided. the unique feature about this restaurant is that, they have taken the only most famous dishes from each asean country and have mastered it. right from malaysian mee goring and nasi lemak, thai’s green curry, balinese peas / chicken curry to the singapore famous laksa are all there. do try their hainanese chicken fried rice for the authentic broth cooked rice and veggies. the lunch and dinner menu is young and limited but they’ve mastered it well. the taste and experience is authentic and we jus loved it. the challenges of this restaurant is that the prices are a little on the creamy side for a common man; but if you are someone who doesn’t mind spending a little more for the authentic taste and experience, then we strongly recommend you to visit this place. also we wish they introduce sea food option in their main menu in all dishes.

they also have a goodbreakfastmenu and a bakery wing add on.
overall this place is a must go, must try!

had the mexican scrambled eggs for breakfast. i expected beautifully scrambled fluffy eggs that would be willowy wisps of white clouds that i can fork into my mouth, close my eyes and sigh in bliss. meh.,.didn't happen! what i got was a splotch of messy shredded runny eggs, that looked neither presentable nor appetizing. i was disappointed. i was sad, as this is a place i love and i adore their service. i always had great experiences. the eggs were the only sore point. the sides were excellent-fresh salsa, excellent black beans, fresh avocado, a slice of sourdough. alas, the eggs ..they broke my heart. :-(

when i asked the hostess who served us, she mentioned this is how they serve their scrambled eggs.

we also had an excellent chocolate croissant, a good cheese and spinach croissant and a slice of decadent banana bread. i would like to believe this was an one off situation. i love pumpkin tales too much to rate them low on account of one dish. i am positive they would take my subjective feedback in an objective way.

the lady and i visited the cosy bakery in the ground floor which is an ecstatic assault on the olfactory senses.....sigh ....the smell of freshly baked goodies, with a warm embrace of coffee ( they have some amazing blends for sale) and here is the best part ....they have little bowls of goodies to sample....their pistachio meringue was mind blowing ..i had to drag myself away from the sample bowl lest i look like a deprived soul. i picked up a meringue, the lady picked up a health bar and a vegan banana cup cake. they sell an asssortment of breads, crisps, lavash, baked goods and bottled sorbets. very hard to not get tempted to wolf down as many desserts as possible. today'sbreakfasttale started sadly for me but ended happily. still....those willowy wisps of white egg clouds .....sigh....hopefully next time.

this place deserves no less than 5 stars. what an amazing experience! have come here for brunch twice now, and found both the visits equally satisfactory. it generally is quite difficult to find goodbreakfastoptions for vegetarians, but this place has myriad options!
we had the pumpkin bowl, french toast, the mexican bowl, belt and the shakshuka, with coffee andbreakfastsmoothie. the food was scrumptious and filling. a big fan of the pumpkin bowl, it had the right balance of nuts, sweet, savory and herbs. we loved the smoothie. don't be afraid of spinach in the smoothie options, spinach can be tasty.
apart from the food being amazing, the service is on point! the person taking the order even warned us when we were ordering a lot of food, since they know their portion sizes well. and you'd hardly find places here where the owners photobomb your pictures, and clear your plates! 😍😍
i will definitely recommend this place to everyone. people on special diets can also easily find amazing options here. love how they have grain free, vegetarian, vegan friendly options.
service: 6/5 (don't judge, i can give 6 rating on a scale of 5)
food: 6/5
ambience: 4.5/5
price: 4/5
