good location, good service & food. bbq is good, redneck burrito really good, catfish good, burgers are good, lunches are good and some of the veggies border on greatness. weekend breakfast buffet is unimpressive: eggs overcooked, gravy unexceptional, bacon soggy, grits decent...but one good thing is a sticky, toffee bread pudding. that one's killer. music nights (usually a cover charge) are fun but be sure and check out the artists carefully online - i've heard some pretty bad music there before (no big deal unless i paid to hear it!)...as well as some great music. i guess the one thing that irritates me a little about puckett's - is that it could be really, really excellent and noteworthy as a bastion of southern food. as it stands, it's merely good , but still worth a visit.
