puckett's grocery & restaurant

this is one of my favorite places to go when i'm in franklin. the veggies are great. i always have agoodmeal there.

we take al of our visitors from out of town here for dinner.goodfood, something for everyone, excellent "down south" atmosphere. my boyfriends thinks the meatloaf is the best he's ever had, i've liked the chicken & waffles and the shrimp & grits. do expect to be a little patient-it's definitely a franklin hot spot.

we were on a tour in franklin and went to puckett's for lunch as part of the tour.

their food was fantastic. we were a large group of 14 but that was no problem. everybody raved about whatever was ordered.

i let my server pick for me. i had the fried green tomato blt. yum! there was a generous portion of bacon. the fried green tomatoes were fantastic. i'd definitely order again!

the cobbler of the day was cherry. even the small nana's portion was too much for me to finish. but i loved every bite!

our experience was sogoodthat several went to puckett's in nashville the next night for dinner.

good food. from mississippi which has better southern food but overall was good. wish zomato did the .5 still. i had the chicken fried steak and it was good. haven’t had a ton ofgoodsouthernn comfy food other than this place and loveless cafe in nashville. ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️🐳

it's ok. really.. i decided to continue searching for any place around nashville that could make decent enough bbq. i have not had great luck at this and my reviews are out there to be read as i try each place. so far each place has been one epic fail after another. i guess i'm done for now and must drive to memphis if i want the best ever.
puckett's on the other hand does get some winning points from me and its worth a visit there if you are in or near franklin tn.
its a nice place with live music and the guy i saw playing some kind of guitar harp thing was great!
the people there were more than friendly and seem to be enjoying their work which is a big plus!
the bbq beans were really good.
the slaw was ok.
the cornbread cake thing wasgoodtoo.
two sauces i tried were fine,
the dry ribs....well,,,i think they were only ok once you covered them with sauce which means they were no longer dry. i prefer dry ribs and have higher standards for them. a perfect dry rib has enough spice on them so that you don't need wet sauce. i have to ding them for this one.
the pulled pork plate was too fatty, too shredded up with fatness, and tasteless without a lot of sauce poured over it. i spent several minutes separating the two and then added some sauce to the meat. after all that work it turned out really good. a perfect pulled pork plate should be all long strands of bbq pork with enough flavor that you shouldn't have to add a lot of sauce unless you just want it really wet.
all in all i give them agoodenough grade to recommend anyone go try it out.
i think they serve breakfast too so i know i'll go back to try that out.

hands down the best restaurant in nashville. the food is alwaygoodand fast.i love eating everytime i go to nashville. try the breakfast menu.

saturday afternoon lunch. 15 minutes wait notifies by text message. fried green tomato blt sandwich on sourdough was excellent! sweet potato fries weregoodbut nothing special. three sliders in pulled pork, chicken, and brisket were very good. well worth the trip.

this place is a really comfortable atmosphere, food and drinks weregoodand very well priced. the only thing that i didn't like was that the waitress recommended a particular burger and it ended up being a 'healthy burger' and pretty much tasted like dirt. everything and anything else on the menu would have been delicious.

good alternative to fast food - eat local!!. i had the mojo burger, which i enjoyed. the burger, pork and baked beans make a nice combo. the fries are also good, although they are thin, which makes them tasty, but they also get cold fast, so eat them quick. my offspring had the mac & cheese with pulled pork. i usually am not a mac & cheese fan - i think the best mac & cheese you've ever had is not too far from the worst mac & cheese you've ever had. that being said, i thought the combo was great. it wasn't too overly gloppy cheesy, it had agoodamount of pork and was nicely done. their pulled pork isn't like the traditional eastern nc version i love, but it had great flavor and went very well with the macaroni. it's a nice homey place withgoodservice and worth a visit. nothing spectacular or trendy, butgoodsolid food to fuel you up.

high expectations?. guess i read too many reviews on this place. love the idea of live music while eating the stuff on their menu....but...the fried green beans were tasteless, didn't finish the shrimp and grits. i have had shrimp and grits 4 times in recent memory and this was the worst. just poorly spiced, not good. don't get it. ribs were ok but nothing like you'd expect from a great barbecue area like this. unfortunately, the live music wasn't toogoodeither... a little screechy. i hope it was just a bad night and i got the wrong stuff.

it's pucketts.... ive been here multiple times. the food has never super impressed but i enjoy the breakfast more than anything. it's southern food. im a picky eater so i get chicken or ham. i dont do pork. (ironic since i love ham). anyways. the food is good, not great. i love the atmosphere,goodidea there. they really should look more into having a lot more local food. we live in franklin! it's like farm haven. so many more restaurants are going local. now i do believe they have hatcher's milk but thats it on local that i know of. i will say i have never liked the staff. they dont care enough. they arent very friendly hardly. ive only had one waitress one time that i liked. but if theyre management cared maybe it'd be better.

best pulled pork, homemade rolls and sauces in the nation, bar none! sweet potato fries are tender-crisp perfection. location and atmosphere are perfect, prices are great, and service is excellent. management is top-notch and takegoodcare of patrons. definitely a great dining experience and well worth the trip!

puckett's grocery and restaurant: this local hangout has three locations, and the nights with live music require reservations!  duke and i were able to grab dinner there, and it was delicious.  i love the decor and ambience at the location in the heart of downtown franklin.  we highly recommend the bbq. bar louie :  this gulch spot was great for a working lunch!  i had some sliders, but i think the appetizers were the best... loaded tater tots and warm pretzels with dipping sauces.  i really liked their drink menu though, so i need to get back there for an evening sometime. saffire :  i went here for lunch with my friend stephanie, which is more casual than dinner at this restaurant in franklin's famous the factory building, but i couldn't get over howgoodit was! whiskey kitchen :  i've heard nothing aboutgoodthings about this place, and i loved the cocktails i tasted there during a recent work happy hour in the gulch.  i thought my basil

unique atmosphere. unique atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.goodservice with a wide variety of menu items at reasonable prices.

i've had a few of their cobblers in the past and mrs. sippi's peach version is just about asgoodas any of them. it's one of those "you can't go wrong ordering it" deserts.
