good food. from mississippi which has better southern food but overall was good. wish zomato did the .5 still. i had the chicken fried steak and it was good. haven’t had a ton of good southernn comfy food other than thisplaceand loveless cafe in nashville. ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️🐳

it's ok. really.. i decided to continue searching for anyplacearound nashville that could make decent enough bbq. i have not had great luck at this and my reviews are out there to be read as i try each place. so far eachplacehas been one epic fail after another. i guess i'm done for now and must drive to memphis if i want the best ever.
puckett's on the other hand does get some winning points from me and its worth a visit there if you are in or near franklin tn.
its a niceplacewith live music and the guy i saw playing some kind of guitar harp thing was great!
the people there were more than friendly and seem to be enjoying their work which is a big plus!
the bbq beans were really good.
the slaw was ok.
the cornbread cake thing was good too.
two sauces i tried were fine,
the dry ribs....well,,,i think they were only ok once you covered them with sauce which means they were no longer dry. i prefer dry ribs and have higher standards for them. a perfect dry rib has enough spice on them so that you don't need wet sauce. i have to ding them for this one.
the pulled pork plate was too fatty, too shredded up with fatness, and tasteless without a lot of sauce poured over it. i spent several minutes separating the two and then added some sauce to the meat. after all that work it turned out really good. a perfect pulled pork plate should be all long strands of bbq pork with enough flavor that you shouldn't have to add a lot of sauce unless you just want it really wet.
all in all i give them a good enough grade to recommend anyone go try it out.
i think they serve breakfast too so i know i'll go back to try that out.

a funplacefor a date or bring the whole family. food quality was really good. our server was personable and attentive. local musicians provided live music the evening we were there.

thisplaceis a really comfortable atmosphere, food and drinks were good and very well priced. the only thing that i didn't like was that the waitress recommended a particular burger and it ended up being a 'healthy burger' and pretty much tasted like dirt. everything and anything else on the menu would have been delicious.

good alternative to fast food - eat local!!. i had the mojo burger, which i enjoyed. the burger, pork and baked beans make a nice combo. the fries are also good, although they are thin, which makes them tasty, but they also get cold fast, so eat them quick. my offspring had the mac & cheese with pulled pork. i usually am not a mac & cheese fan - i think the best mac & cheese you've ever had is not too far from the worst mac & cheese you've ever had. that being said, i thought the combo was great. it wasn't too overly gloppy cheesy, it had a good amount of pork and was nicely done. their pulled pork isn't like the traditional eastern nc version i love, but it had great flavor and went very well with the macaroni. it's a nice homeyplacewith good service and worth a visit. nothing spectacular or trendy, but good solid food to fuel you up.

second great dinner at puckett's. we moved to franklin recently and tried puckett's on a recommendation from a friend. my husband had the cajun chicken & waffles, and i got the moonshine glazed salmon. both were excellent. (first restaurant i've been to in ages that didn't overcook the fish!) the sweet potato fries are amazing. crisp outside, sweet inside. last night we brought my in-laws there. we knew it was a friday night, and theplacewas hopping. the hostess initially thought all the tables might be booked for reservations, but she got us in with absolutely no wait right in the middle of dinner rush. our server was kalley, and she was excellent. helpful, friendly, thoughtful and efficient. she checked on us frequently, and our drinks were always full, but never seemed to be hovering or pushing in any way. i even watched her interact with children at other tables, and was sweet and patient with a little girl who was screaming and crying. last night i tried the southern fried catfish, and again, it was great. my father in law fell in love with the fried chicken, commenting that he hadn't had fried chicken like that since his grandmother died. loved the service, loved the food. will be back again and again.

overrated cafeteria food. what a disappointment thisplaceis. i haven't been to downtown franklin since i graduated high school, so i was looking forward to something special and the reviews on urbanspoon promised just that. the menu suggested i was in the right place, especially when i saw a side of pulled pork available for breakfast for only $3.99.
anyway, if you come here for breakfast, make sure that your order is not coming out of the steam rack of pre-cooked items like biscuits, sausage, bacon, and potatoes. i can forgive a lot, but one thing i will never forgive of puckett's is this.....middle tennessee is the defacto capital of pork sausage in the known universe, there can be no disputing this. what i was served was a grayish brown flimsy piece of sausage that had no flavor, and looked like it had been in the steamer for most of the morning. the only thing on my plate that didn't come from the service line was my eggs which with all the soggy food i was served didn't impress either.
perhaps the worst offense, even moreso than the awful sausage was the guy on the service line that was using his bare hands to put bacon on the plates to be served. are you f'in kidding me?!?!? $20 with tip and my contribution to puckett's is finished forever. next time i'll just go to cracker barrel where i know i can get a quality cooked to order breakfast for 1/2 the price!

came with my wife and family for breakfast. only 4 people in our party, btw. ordered normal breakfast menu items no specials. drinks came out in a timely manner but after that the service went down hill. 2 tables were seated around us they were served drinks and food before we even had our order taken. food came out 40 min after we were seated. several items were cold but we didn't want to wait anymore so we ate around the cold parts. waitress didn't even bother to ask why perhaps every plate only had bites taken on certain parts of the food. never coming back again and ill be telling everyone i know how terrible thisplaceis. big on atmosphere short on food.

nice atmosphere, okay food. the atmosphere is fun and entertaining but the food and service is just okay. servers seem less than interested which may be a result of the less than interesting food.

average. a great location and enjoyable relaxing atmosphere. to me the food is just okay. but if hardcore southern fare is your thing, then thisplaceis worth a try. i did have a delicious pie!

dang tasty. thisplacehas the best burgers and onion rings anywhere around!!! hands down ya'll!!! outstanding service as well. 5 stars!

thisplaceis great!. i love the pulled pork (smoked right out back) and the homemade cheesecake! mmmmmmm!

i love pucketts!. it's a greatplacefor really good food. everything is fresh and not too expensive. i'm local, and love going to hear music there. it's not a cheesy tourist spot. it's real!
