puckett's grocery & restaurant

overall i give puckett’s a 5 out of 5 and have added it to my list of all time favorite restaurants. i will be returning for more great atmosphere and great food.

good service. fried pickles & jalapeños were interesting. the fried green tomatoe blt was amazing! make sure to call ahead and make a reservation. the restaurant is somewhat small and fills quickly, even on a tuesday night. live music was okay, but not spectacular.

okay food...the downtown location was better. i had the chicken and dressing which had funky flavors. the tomato basil soup was really good though. my boyfriend got the burger of the month which had chili and cheese and onions on it but it was bland. even the chocolate chess pie wasn't as good as the downtown location's (which is weird since it is a chain). we'll go back to the downtown location next time.

nice atmosphere, okay food. the atmosphere is fun and entertaining but the food and service is just okay. servers seem less than interested which may be a result of the less than interesting food.

fun place to visit, not to regular.

awesome!!!. really good portions - the bbq plate with sides is about $12 and is huge! they also serve your beer in a mason jar which is always a positive! make sure you buy a goo goo cluster cookie while in nashville!

i had a tough time deciding what to order. the waitress told me the hamburgers were a hit among the locals and the day i was there it seemed everyone was ordering them... so i ordered the burger & sweet potato fries. it was the best burger i have ever had!!! you have to try one....!!! oh...the fries were good too!

excellent service. before a function at the franklin theatre, our group of four, two couples, dined at puckett's just off the square in downtown franklin.
service was excellent. the fried green beans appetizer was well-seasoned and the accompanying three sauces were perfect for a group as each one of us had a favorite. my bbq sliders contained savory pork with a unique and delicious slaw. i enjoyed the regular fries more than the sweet potato ones. our guests enjoyed the catfish dinner and a perfectly grilled salmon salad.
live music was just beginning around 7:30 as we left for the theatre.

like it so much jessie has to put up with me at least once a week!

i order the country ham with red-eye gravy, a biscuit, fried potatoes and two eggs over medium. rob orders country-fried steak with much the same trimmings but he gets pepper gravy instead. the coffee is decent, the orange juice is watered down.

love the pulled pork so far the best we found around

doris makes lunch memorable. it was a beautiful spring day, cool breeze, plenty of sun and the flowers were blooming. a great day for a late lunch and a nice drive. have read the reviews for puckett"s and most have sounded positive. nothing could spoil this idyllic scene, except our arrival. was greeted by, (that's being too generous) max, the manager of puckett's who without doubt was one of the rudiest, most ungracious, and down right rude restaurant staff i have encountered in a longtime. really wanted to walk, but the kindness, professionalism, warmth, and southern hospitality saved the day. she is exceptional, and her knowledge of the menu led us to two really good entrees, the bbq sampler ( really good) and the shrimp and grits (spicy and delectable). should mention that the shrimp were large and succulent which makes me happy that hopefully the bp disaster is starting to heal, and with the summer near, an abundance of great seafood is ahead. don't miss the peach cobbler. not overly sweet and another (not to miss) item.

great atmosphere & food. have had the pleasure of eating lunch at puckett's twice and dinner once.....so far! the food was delicious, the service outstanding, the atmosphere warm and folksy. our dinner experience on the night we went was enhanced by the live music provided by amy benton...the girl has pipes! we had a blast, can't wait to share it with our friends when they come into town.

love it. have traveled many places and puckett's has the best pulled pork bbq that i have ever tried, hands down. sweet potato fries are great too!

never had bad food here. try the sweet potato fries or if you're going a little lighter try the grilled chicken salad with the candied pecans. excellent.

amazing. can't go wrong with anything on the menu. i had the bbq and i am glad i live 8 hours away or i would end up eating there everyday!
a definite must eat every time i am visiting family!
