strengths and weaknesses. a fast-food sushi place is a welcome addition to regina. the firsttimethat i went, i had the salmon sashimi which was perfect and served nicely chilled. the secondtimethat i went, however, i ordered the same but thistimethe fish was served way too cold which detracted from the experience. i also ordered a tempura udon which was served extremely hot to the point that it was not possible to eat it without waiting for it to cool down (or getting burned). the problem is that as i waited, the tempura inside the broth got soggy. so i had the sashimi too cold, and the soup too hot (with soggy tempura)... i also tried two of their jumbo rolls (and they have several smothered in japanese mayo--which, i must admit, i like a lot). i tried their pronto roll and their mango roll. both were pretty good. so on the whole, this place is neither absolutely great (like some reviews suggest) nor terrible (like other reviews suggest). the place certainly serves sushi that is good enough but they need to pay much closer attention to the food they serve. sashimi should be nicely chilled (not icy cold), udon should be hot but not burning the tongue and the lettuce in the california salad needs to be a lot less and fresher (or even non existent; while i do not know this for sure, i highly doubt that in japan they serve salads that are primarily lettuce). despite the limitations that i mentioned, i think that i can have an enjoyable quick meal there and i would go back.
