tonight was my first time trying this restaurant. the menu has a huge amount of bothsushiand nonsushiselections! the miso soup was good, but not very warm. the crispy spicy shrimp and the crispy philadelphia california rolls were my favourite! both had such delicious hints of spice and creaminess. the chicken teriyaki bowl was delicious and the portion size was generous. we came home with many left overs and it was just over $30.00 for two! the service was ok, but the girl taking the orders and running the till looked over worked. she could hardly keep up when it came time to deliver the food to the table or to take payments! will definitely be back again but hopefully on a less busy evening.

first time at this place. ordered some basicsushirolls and a couple expensive specialty rolls. basic rolls were disappointing. salmon was not fresh at all. you can tell the ingredients are old and cheap. the expensive rolls were stupidly huge with flavours all wrong and all over the map.
i stopped eating after 4 pieces.
the menu is way too big and it's hard to order if you've never been here before. maybe it's one of those places that only does a few things really well and you have to know what to order? i dunno.

service was awkward and most employees didn't understand english well. service was poor.

it's overpriced, even for being close to the university.
will never go back.
you want amazing sushi?
take the drive to emerald park for "urban sushi". best we've ever had.
they should go there and learn how to makesushiproperly. we will stick with urbansushifor sure.

i dont get this place. okay, im korean, and i got served with korean language from korean server. she was not friendly at all, not helping at all. they just got my order, and served my food, and just talk with someone at thesushibar all day. i was there at the first time so i had no idea where i can get my chopstiks. when i asked her where can i get those, she blinked for few seconds, she said "its right over there" and i can read that she's adding "yeah you stupid one" on her face. very pissed-offed.

i ordersd port cutlet. what is this? the sauce tasted like water and the salad was aweful. pork? to hard to chew. i only ate few pieces of the cutelt, and rice. not even touch that garbage salad.

i was wondering, that did i get this horrible stuff because im korean?
i wish its just that pork. otherwise, i feel sorry for all of you whoever eats here.

and dont go there at winter time. i was sitting there and freeze to death whenever someone comes in or out.

torch rolls = yum. my partner and i visit this restaurant often, as it is close to the university campus. it is, arguably, the bestsushithis city has to offer and you get bang for your buck, unlike some othersushispots in the city. the jumbo rolls are especially good. the lion king roll is a must-try - the finishing touch of torching the outer layer of salmon gives it a delicious, smoky flavour that tastes unlike anything else i have ever tried in asushirestaurant here in regina. the staff is friendly and at least one of thesushichefs trained and worked in san francisco and really knows his stuff. they offer a huge variety of different rolls, although i can't say i'm a huge fan of the soggy salad they serve in some of the combos and sometimes they go a little overkill on the eel sauce on certain rolls. overall, it's a great place to get delicioussushifast and i am so happy that there is asushiplace located near campus.

pick your menu items wisely. i've ordered from pronto several times. i really like their bento boxes - thesushialways tastes great. however, i had a pretty bad ramen soup the last time - broth was okay but the noodles were over cooked and the pork was dry. plus for $10, you'd think they'd give you more than 2 small slices of pork in a serving... i may not order soups anymore but i will continue going back for sushi.

i quite like this restaurant. it is nice to be able to getsushinear the university and it is a great idea to set this up as a fast food restaurant in this location .. the service was indeed quick and the staff seemed friendly. the restaurant was also clean and despite being fast food the dishes were decent. i enjoyed the salmon sashimi and salmon roll. the salmon salad was also good. i'd definitely stay away from the california salad. way too much dressing that was too sweet. i'll be going back.

strengths and weaknesses. a fast-foodsushiplace is a welcome addition to regina. the first time that i went, i had the salmon sashimi which was perfect and served nicely chilled. the second time that i went, however, i ordered the same but this time the fish was served way too cold which detracted from the experience. i also ordered a tempura udon which was served extremely hot to the point that it was not possible to eat it without waiting for it to cool down (or getting burned). the problem is that as i waited, the tempura inside the broth got soggy. so i had the sashimi too cold, and the soup too hot (with soggy tempura)... i also tried two of their jumbo rolls (and they have several smothered in japanese mayo--which, i must admit, i like a lot). i tried their pronto roll and their mango roll. both were pretty good. so on the whole, this place is neither absolutely great (like some reviews suggest) nor terrible (like other reviews suggest). the place certainly servessushithat is good enough but they need to pay much closer attention to the food they serve. sashimi should be nicely chilled (not icy cold), udon should be hot but not burning the tongue and the lettuce in the california salad needs to be a lot less and fresher (or even non existent; while i do not know this for sure, i highly doubt that in japan they serve salads that are primarily lettuce). despite the limitations that i mentioned, i think that i can have an enjoyable quick meal there and i would go back.

i've eaten at everysushirestaurant in the city and i keep coming back to pronto ever since i found it.

i always enjoy their sushi, the salmon nigiri being a favorite. the fish has tasted fresh and delicious on every occasion as well.

try it at least once and judge for yourself.

the food was not fresh. the smoked salmon looks exactly like the smoked salmon from superstore. it's cooked and is not very fresh. when i ordersushii expect it raw unless stated otherwise. the avocado in the roll i ordered was not fresh, it was brown and already going bad. not appetizing at all.

worstsushiever!. i never write reviews on things like this and only believe half of what i read but after my experience with this place i had to come on and say something. i heard a good review so i went. when i got there the place was empty and it was lunch hour which should have been a clue for me. ordered got take away, and the left. opened the food up and there were no chopsticks. the mango roll didn't have crab, the avocado in the one roll was brown going black and the smoked salmon tasted like it was 2 weeks old. took it back and they wouldn't do anything for me and wanted me to wait for them to call the manager to come down to sort it out after i had already waited 10 minutes. will not be going back.

most delicious and affordable place in town. pronto is quickly becoming my favouritesushiplace in town. their menu is huge, their portions are generous, and their prices are really low. everything is top-notch - i haven't eaten a single thing there that i have been ambivalent about.

delicious. i admit to being a little ambivalent because i've had some pretty unsatisfactorysushihere in regina. but i'm happy to say that pronto definitely has some great sushi, especially for the price. i also had their agedashi tofu, and i'll definitely get it again. they forgot my miso soup, but gave us an extra soup for their mistake when i mentioned it.
it's about a million times better than thesushion campus, and their veggie roles at pronto are actually cheaper than thesushion campus. good meal and good service. thumbs up!

bestsushiin regina. i moved to regina two years ago from the west coast and i have been looking for a place where i could get reasonably priced good sushi. i have found it in pronto. it is the best i have had since moving here and the prices, although not cheap, were decent for the great quality japanese food. i will be going back in the near future, possibly even this evening,
