this was a great lunch. the setting is outstanding, probably the best arrangement i have seen at a winery. the menu was a degustation style using local ingredients and produce and we took the matchedwineoption. every course was extremely good, the best we felt was the duck but really you couldn’t fault anything. highly recommend this place.

this place is amazing! the building is nestled on a sloping hill so there beautiful views of the vines and trees. there’swinetasting and you could wander down the back for a picnic. if you’re after something more formal the dining room has everything you’d expect from a winery and the out door terrace boasts all the fine dining experience inside offers but with a more chilled vibe. if you’re looking for a more relaxed time there’s a garden just as you enter from the free onsite large car park. the food is more towards the expensive side but definitely worth every penny. i’m looking forward to the next time i get to go to polperre

from the moment we arrived we were entranced. our welcome was warm and genuine. we were offered awinetasting with the delightful eric, and accepted, excited to take in the entire experience. the tasting was informative, but also accessible. no judgment here of those of us who didn’t know all thewinespeak. we were welcomed into the dining room with no pressure to buy the wines. in fact we were pleasantly surprised to see that there were beverages on offer from other than the winery. i chose the clover club. delicious. the food was simply divine. clean, fresh and visually stunning. the apple salad was a highlight because it was inventive and a lovely surprise. we didn’t sample the desserts but diners around us polished them off with lots of oohs and aahs. the wait staff seemed to intuitively know when to appear, when to disappear and when to engage in appropriate banter. there was no stuffiness in this dining room. we loved it from start to finish. best of all we liked that it was a lot smaller than the other wineries yet it held its own and matched them hands down in the quality of service and food. we finished our meal with coffee on the verandah with a visit from the beautiful rosella birds and cheeky free range chicken. seriously, it ticked all the boxes. moderately priced at $80 - 100 per head. worth every dollar. thank you to everyone involved in hosting us.

we went to polperro for lunch yesterday and enjoyed a lovely afternoon of warm ambiance, attentive staff and impressive food. there was quite a raucous group seated behind us who would have benefited from being in a function room but other then that the only other blip was that they ran out of sourdough.

we started with the most delicious of lamb cutlets which was perfectly pink and yummy king salmon with goats cheese on lavish. i was disappointed with the excessive presence of chorizo on so many dishes given i do not eat pork. we also ordered a potato mille feuille that was recommended and when i asked what a particular ingredient listed on the menu was i was told it was the ‘creamy element’.

thankfully when another server brought it out he referred to it as chorizo cream when explaining the dish. all of the food was stunningly presented and the flavours of apple impressed me most of all for its uniqueness and theatrical smoke show.

we finished the day with a cellar doorwinetasting as the fee was waived given we had lunch. i also recommend starting with a drink outside so you can take in the scenery and relaxing atmosphere. an enjoyable day out

love sitting on teh lawn at polperro. they have a pop-up bar serving grown-up food (helllooooo, freshly shucked oysters!) and are dog friendly (big win). friendly service on top (they went out of their way to try and secure a table for my group).wineroom is a bit small and often has a wait to get in...

have eaten here for lunch and dinner and i just love the styling and ambience at this chic bistro. new chef means new choices on the menu, all delicious but suggest you go for early dinner booking if you want to make sure you don’t miss out on the scrumptious sounding pop corn snack or the fennel pollen cake for dessert both of which were out for 8.30pm booking. we were lucky though that we managed to sneak in some cake the next day after awinetasting. perfect for romantic couple date night and also a small dining group. recommend sharing few entrees but definitely get your own main, too yummy (and pretty) to share. ps the duck is the most instagramable of the main dishes and pairs perfectly with the polperro pinot hehe

had the bestwinetasting here in a small room inside the venue by a great and knowledgeable dutch guy. we loved the venue as it was very relaxing and you could easily spend a couple hours here drinking the beautiful wines and having a cheese platter. can’t wait to come back already !

the first time i visited polperro forwineand cheese on the deck i knew i needed to come back for a restaurant meal. was disappointed. the food is share style, but not conducive to a group with one vego so i had to order my own. everything was so salty i drank about a liter of water throughout the meal. the service was just ok. only saving grace really was the dessert was yum.

dinner here was very nice with a great charcuterie board that would have done as a main. i had steak and my lady had the duck and we shared sides of tatties and brock. goodwinelist outside their own wines (which are pricey) so we settled on a barbera which was great. service was good but slightly clunky. always ask if the guest wants to first taste awinethat's all the way from italy. just a tip.

do: the giant prawns, lamb to share and cheese churros.

don’t: forget about the awesome desserts. we ordered all of them.

tip: take the whole family, it’s a great place you can spend a whole afternoonwinetasting then relax and have dinner afterwards. only an hour away from melb cbd

my favourite place. the food andwineis delicious - beef tartare & crab pasta are incredible. the bistro is so warm and inviting. amy is fantastic - if she's on to host your tasting, you're in for a great time. it certainly feels like a real treat to visit - looking forward to coming by again.

the location is friggin awesome and you can actually order thewinefrom the vineyard, they do have excellent choice of bubbles (tassie and french) and some passable beers. also a solid "not ours"winelist (for what reason?). we had arras bubbles, tier 2 chardonnay and pinot and a sensational single vineyard pinot noir.

service is crap - super friendly bogans and backpackers - but not much organisation. food service is poorly spaced, drinks are worse (i thought if i got a bottle he would leave it... no such luck).

to the main game. food was very good. of the snacks, the corn fritters were super yum, kingfish tortillas were "cheffy" - crunch and bite and sweet and sour and ... "why am i eating this crap".

the roast lamb shoulder was magnificent, i even survived the crispy kale. i have not had better meat anywhere. smoked goat curd a winner, pesto not with us. rosemary potatoes were good, but 10 mins after the lamb, which created some stress with the mrs (where are my chips, where are my chips...) lettuce salad was a total flog: 50c of lettuce for $10...go die in shame.

desserts great. she loved hers, nice glass of kracher to accompany. they found me a great hard cheese, matched with rutherglen muscat. coffee not bad.

overall a great lunch. service on the peninsula will always be hit and miss. they nailed most of the food and the seriouswineis stellar.

stand out for ambiance, quality of food and prompt service!

went in for a tasting first which was held in a cute intimate room which boasted with history and wall to wall filledwineracks.

the dining area is highly welcoming with the back drop of vineyards in the valley overlooked by the decked area! both great for summer and winter dining!

the grilled king prawns were an absolute stand out and had me wanting more! the flavors were fresh and the dish had a hint of smoked flavor through out. accompanied by a slightly spicy sauce which cut the complex flavors, the dish also had some lime on the side if you wanted to add a bit of zest! 🦐

the crab pasta was delicious and the flavors were worked back so that the mixture of the crab and seasoning could work their magic along side sublime linguini. cooked to perfection al dentè i can't fault the dish 🦀🍝

side note: accommodation here was fantastic and made for a relaxing couple of days by the fire overlooking the vineyards 🍷

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
