good pho. when you walk in nobody speaks english so you know it's good. placewas packed with all asians patrons. you know theplaceis reliable when the locals love it.

atmosphere: hole in the wall. clean. very busy. especially after lunch hours.

service: ordered pho. always reliably fast.

food: the pho soup was good. but it lacked a little weak on the flavor. perhaps i've been to so many pho restaurants i just have high expectations. but nonetheless it's still good.

i would go back and try some log the barbecue. the menu pics look very good.

although i did in fact like thisplacefor dinner, i just had a much higher expectation after reading all the reviews. everything was fresh with a nice clean taste but nothing to write home about

my favorite pho place.... i can't say much for the rest of the menu as i always get the same thing... pho ga and fresh spring rolls. it has been my favorite phoplacein richmond for years since i lived here the last time around. i've tried quite a few other places, but this is one i return to for my pho ga. excellent.

best pho. i'm a regular here and absolutely love it. if you're looking for a nice ambience this isn't the place. but if you just want great pho at great prices, this is theplaceto check out. i always get the #8.

yummy!. i never get anything other than a small bowl at any phoplacei visit, but is it just me or have pho so 1's small bowls gotten smaller recently? i usually can't finish a small bowl (especially if i'm sharing an order of goi cuon!) but i actually got pretty close the last time i went. regardless, it's a very tasty broth with great fresh herbs.

sopa excellente.. if you want soup not decor/service this is theplaceto go 100% best of richmond without the drama.

best pho in town. tried em' all and pho so 1 is by far the best. there's a reason it's always packed during lunch and the secret is in the broth.

onlyplacethat compares is the "blue house" but only go there if you don't mind basically eating in a guys kitchen...

so all the love in richmond seems to go to mekong and da lat, but neither can compare to #1...the critics all have it wrong...just go there and let the atmosphere prove this itself. thisplaceis very hard to find and doesn't advertise, yet it stays packed...often times with lines out the door. the crowd is usually 90% asian who know how to judge authenticity. now the food - by far the best phô & bun in richmond bar none. check it out for yourself and i'm sure you'll agree.
