overall, the flavors weregoodand i liked the textures. the restaurant could easily take themselves to the next level by offering specialty pizzas with preset ingredients or even by offering some ingredient options beyond the norm. while the pizza was decent, i could not justifiably describe this as the best pizza in the universe.

i had an amazing time here. i hope that other people can have asgoodof an experience at this place as i did with my loved one. it was so nice to be treated to such a great meal. my wife asked me out to celebrate an anniversary i was having for my work. i had been working for the fifth straight year at the same place and she surprised me by taking me out to a great place. it was so nice and i loved the food. this was probably my most cherished pizza of all time. i loved the amazing taste and all of the flavors were so explosive and delicious. i thought this was the tastiest pizza of all time and i cannot wait to go back.

stopped in for a bite before my flight. the wait was short, 5 minutes. the food wasgoodamerican fare. prices are what you expect from an airport eatery. the service was spot on and very attentive. the portions were large!

recommended to all the pizza lovers. 😁 a deep dish pizza with a caramel crust is what they are known for which makes an amazing combination with the pizza of your choice. great service.goodambience 👍

thegoodnews: the pizza is worth the wait, the bad news: you may want to pack snacks to hold you over. granted, we visited on a friday at 8, but it took 50 minutes to get a table and then another 35 to get our pizza. the crust was delicious and crunchy and the sauce had lots of flavor, overall i'd say one of the best deep dish pizzas i've had. it was super loud, though, and at times almost impossible to hear your server. the prices were decent and they don't charge too much per topping.

reallygoodpizza. the small deep dish was enough for two. got multiple toppings and plenty of each topping for some in each bite. great staff and service as well. great spot.

reallygoodpizza. worth the drive and the wait. we came here on our second evening in chicago after having so so pizza the previous night in the touristy area. wow! this is something to write home about. the service was decent, the beer cold, and the pizza wonderful!

pequod's is one of the most talked about and recommended pizza places in chicago and forgoodreason. although the sauce could use a little more flavor, the crust is where it's at! caramelized crusty cheesy goodness. had to give it a 3.5 because the service was so bad and it wasn't even busy, which was disappointing. but overall, pequod's is what's up.

one of chi's best. -- crust: flour, flakey, caramelized cheese sounds gimmicky but i'm a believer!

when going to chicago there are so many incredible food options, but one of the most basic is also the most delicious: chicago deep dish pizza. when you ask for recommendations you can get any number of names, including the original pizzeria uno. however, when i asked my friend c, who we were staying with, where to go for somegooddeep dish, without hesitation she suggested pequod's pizza . chicago deep dish when we were seated at our table, we noticed that not only was pequod's c's recommendation, it was actually just named the best pizza in illinois by food network magazine . with those types of endorsements i knew we would be in for a treat. pequod is actually the name of the boat in moby dick, thus the whale! after a busy day of touring, i was starving by the time we sat down and was ready to eat something. nick left the decision making to me and after a bit of hemming and hawing over what greasy deliciousness to order, i settled on the mozzarella sticks. the breading was crispy a

great pizza. pequod's has reallygoodpizza at a decent price. the pizza is consistent and made by hand. they definitely get the dough right. the sauce is a little sweeter than we like but the toppings are always fresh. we've been eating here for many years. takeout is best as the interior is dark and dingy. having said that, the service is top notch with helpful, cheerful staff, especially the lady who works behind the bar because she would constantly check and see if our waters were down and take the initiative to come over and fill them several times (even though she wasn't our waitress). highly recommend.

seated at a both for two, we placed our order for a small pan pizza with pepperoni. pequod's has blackhawks gear plastered all over the walls, and would probably be agoodplace to catch a game if you are a fan. the pizza would take about thirty minutes to cook, so i ordered a chimay blue to sip on in the meantime. the chimay blue is a nice belgian strong ale brewed my monks that i have had many times before. the beer list at pequod's as a whole is pretty modest, with the chimay being the only real gem on the list. topped with a generous portion of pepperoni, the pan pizza

windy city pizza club visits pequod's. i went to pequod's pizzeria in lincoln park tonight with windy city pizza club. they took our reservation because we had a large party and honored it with a nice table in the upstairs area. the tables were nice, but the lighting was poor. i suppose the building is just old though. the menu was prettygoodwith a basic amount of pizza which was expected from places that specialize in makinggoodcrust.

i ordered a pan sausage 10 inch which is a pretty awesome size wise as it feeds 1-2 people with 4 giant slices. i really like burnt crust and this was awesome stuff. they caramelize the crust to a dark brown color and crunchy texture. the pizza itself was good, not great as it had way too much tomato sauce. i really liked the crust and sausage!

obviously, i was with a group of 20 people which usually results in semi slower service, but shouldn't have been this slow. i am not sure if they didn't have enough servers on, but it was pretty terrible. by far the worst service i have ever had at a pizza place. don't get me wrong, our waitress was sweet and nice and helped us out, but it was extra slow tonight. the pizza's took almost an hour to come out, and some pizza's got screwed up in the kitchen and came out even later than that. water service was slow but not important as there were no bus boys on duty.

again, the pizza was definitely good, not great, and our waitress was nice, but the actual service wasn't good. the check actually came out with just a bunch of numbers on it. we had no clue what they stood for until we had it clarified for us. i would go back, but not with a large group.
