sooo good!!. my family and i are visiting from st. albert to go to the calgary zoo. we had a hard time finding something kid friendly and reliable as i'm pregnant and nervous to eat out. after reviewing urbanspoon we decided to visit paul's pizza and steak house. the environment was inviting and relaxing and smelled absolutely delicious. the salads were delicious and there wasn't one piece of sketchy lettuce on the plate! a huge plus as a pregnant woman! the chicken parmagiana and fettucini alfredo were sooo yummy.
portion sizes were verg large and everything tasted very fresh and homemade. if we ever visitairdrieagain, we will be back!!

reservation not honored. had a reservation but were told by management that it would not be honored but we could eat in the lounge. after 33 years of great food and service at pauls the new ownwership has quickly convinced me to never enter this establishment again as there are now many other restaurants inairdriethat do cater to their customers. good luck in your retirement paul but to bad you sold out to an outfit that puts customers second.

old fashioned delicious. d and i were craving a steak dinner the other night, so we did some searching to see whatairdriehas to offer with decent reviews. we thought we'd give this place a try and it's a touch old fashioned but they kept their food tasty.

we started out sharing a zucchini sticks plate. the zucchini itself was fresh, not too juicy so they didn't drip everywhere like you get with white spot back in bc, and the batter was crisp and well seasoned. the tzatziki dip was really good on its own, high quality thick dip with lots of cucumber bits, but it was not the right dip for zucchini. a fresh ranch would have been a better complimentary flavour for the zucchini and batter seasoning.

for the main course we each had an 8oz new york with a soup to start for him and salad for me. he had the potato bacon soup which was supposedly absolutely delicious, and my salad was a simple lettuce and tomato salad with thousand island dressing. the dressing came in a little take-out cup which was strange and i felt bad using something that would just go in the garbage rather than being washable, but the dressing itself was great.

the steaks were cooked just right, medium rare so the thin cuts were still nicely pink in the middle. the flavour was great with light seasoning and a rich buttery coating that was delicious. the vegetables were perfectly steamed carrots and broccoli coated in hollandaise. that was a pleasant surprise as we both love all three of those especially when put together. for the final side i had the stuffed potato and he had the rice. the rice was simple, with a few vegetables thrown in, and looked pretty good but i think i had the better side with the potato. the stuffed potato was delicious with cheese, herbs and bacon bits in it. the splatter of dried parsley around the outside of the plates is a bit dated and should probably be ditched as it's more messy than attractive now. a clean edged plate would be nicer, and it doesn't add anything to the meal.

all in all the food was tasty and we while we're staying inairdriewe will probably go back.

chicken cordon brown?!!. me and my family went to pauls for dinner. kids had the ussual chicken fingers and fries. wife had chicken souvlaki. we had calamari to start. i ordered a chicken cordon blue.... a dish that should be a nice chick breast filet with ham and cheese inside and breaded, then baked or fried. right?! not what i got. what was served was a flat water brined peice of "chicken" dry as f$*%, with slimy greasy ham laid on top, then mushrooms from yesterdays dinner. 1\2" thick layer of melted cheese on top. good attempt for a know nothing cook. but the best part is that this dish in all its amatuer hour glory was smothered in two soup ladels worth of "beef" gravy!! wtf.!!???!!??!!!?? i am a sorta big guy. i work construction so need less to say i ate the damn food bc i was starving. although i disected it, it was still bad at its basis. the fries were ok. and the nice freshly steamed vegetables? coated in a frigging cheese sauce? who puts cheese on carrots? oldest eatery inairdrieand by far the least knowledged. need less to say crossed off the very marginal list of good food in airdrie! way to go paul?

the food restaurant. i have been all overairdrieand calgary and all types of food from indian, greek, italian, to chinese, to western cuisine. i have seen many different scenarios of customer service. i have heard many complaints and accolades for many different restaurants. please please everybody keep giving pauls pizza a bad reputation. i find i am having trouble getting in without waiting. if there were more people disgruntled and saying bad things about pauls i may have an easier time to get in and served some of the best food i can eat on a pretty regular basis. it is not just the pizza that is great either it is just about every dish that they make right down to their wonderful caesar salads to their tender prime rib. so if you get upset and do not have patience to wait or pickiness to eat something that is cooked better than you can do on a great day at your own stove. please please feel free to grunge them right into the ground. i would rather enjoy a great meal with other people that enjoy the wonderful things that the good lord has put on earth to offer. especially the wonderful meals owners and staff at pauls. i have been told if you cannot say something nice about somebody don't say it. but i sure hope you all do for the above mentioned reason.

perfect. the best pizza and steak house going. great food, great staff, and great owners. pauls inairdrieis the real thing, not like the other pauls in downtown calgary which is crappy and trying to make a living off of the pauls name.

best pizza inairdrie- hands up. talk about toppings and lots of cheese..and pizza is put under broiler to get a crusty cheese topping - perfect...no aerosol cheese sprayed on paul's pizza ever! the other places can keep their aerosol cheese sprays or the skimpy single layer pepperoni that you could count with one hand. i also often have the striploin with the twice baked potato and the waitress brings the sour cream, bacon bits, chives and she piles it on till you say stop. been there for years for that striploin..only one bad experience - steak was too cooked.. but one experience compared to many other great ones makes this the place to eat.

best pizza inairdrie- hands up. once again tonight..no idea what to have for supper....ordered from my good old standby restaurant. i have never been disappointed in the restaurant. the pizza is to die for..they know how to put on cheese..not an aerosol spraying of cheese like others. their striploin steak is the greatest especially with the twice baked potatoes..with sour cream, chives and bacon bits..yummy.....excellent price for the steak also. this restaurant should have menus in ever hotel in airdrie. luckily their menu is also online.

not impressed at all. first time ordering pizza from paul's. i had read reviews in the localairdrienewspaper calling this the best pizza in airdrie.
not even close!
i ordered three varieties of pizza for take out. while the crust and the fact that they layered the top with lots of cheese was ok,there was virtually no pizza sauce on any of the pizzas. the meat that others rave about, to me seemed like just sliced deli sandwich meat you can get at the grocery store layered on under the cheese. so if you like a pizza that's like a sandwich, then i guess you would like their pizza. all three pizzas tasted virtually the same. one pizza was four cheese, which had a slightly different taste, but the hawaiian and the other variety ( which was supposed to have bacon on it ) were almost identical tasting. no bacon to be seen on the one that was supposed to have bacon and no bacon taste at all. there was several layers of sliced lunch meat type ham under the cheese on both varieties with meat. so maybe they consider ham to be bacon. as far as i'm concerned there are some store bought frozen pizzas that are more delicious then the pizzas we had from paul's. so if you are looking for good pizza inairdrieand you haven't tried paul's pizza. i would suggest getting small pizzas to see if you will like their type of pizza first before you waste a bunch of money as i did. will not order from here again. there are a couple of excellent pizza chains inairdriethat have far, far, better pizza.

liked it. my family went here for the first time and overall it was very good. pizzas have an amazing amount of toppings and the cheese, sauce and general taste was good but not outstanding. one of us ordered souvlaki and it was very good. the service was excellent and the prices very good. paul's now ranks pretty high for me forairdriepizza but hasn't beat out big hill pizza and maybe a couple of others yet.

pride of aidrie. there a only a few restaurants like this inairdriewhere the owner take personal pride in the food and service. the decor is nothing special, but the food and service make up for it. worth visiting, good value for your money.
