pretty disappointing. i ordered a basicburgern' fries. i got a cup of way overcooked greasy fries and a foil wrappedburgerwith a smushed, grilled bun and some wilted lettuce and tomato on top.
the beef was fine, which rescued what could have been a horrible burger, but the bun and fries were in very poor shape. overall it wasn't expensive but for a place that does just burgers and french fries it could have been better.
my quest for a good hamburger in oklahoma city continues...

quit smoking cigarettes a few years back, but i still have a cheeseburger every thursday.  i like to mix it up, especially now that there are so manyburgerjoints in town.  seems like there's moreburgerstops than churches these days.

so patty wagon is an old favorite— been eating their sandwiches since they were at the old trailer by the hibdon tire.  the wagon makes a mean burger, but what really sets them apart is their amazing buns.  imagine a toasted bun made out of hawaiian bread, yellow cake, and butter.  okay, now imagine a juicy patty covered with cheese, fried onions, bacon, and a fried egg.

flavor explosion.

french fries are also top-notch— freshly cut, a lot like johnnie's fries when they used to be consistent.  another cool thing about this joint is the long list of condiments and add-ons.  hell, they even make their own special mayos! i like the spicy.

real friendly folks working here as well.  thanks for lunch, pw!

we discovered this place via a nextdoor.com recommendation. it is a casual dining place, but very clean. the staff is friendly and welcoming and anxious to please. the food is great...the buns are so tasty, but the beef is the star. i always  order the grilled onions on my hamburger, and get some spicy mustard to go with the fries. has quickly become our favorite and it is great to be able to support a locally owned business. sure, there are plenty ofburgerplaces these days, but this one is a great neighborhood restaurant with a minimal wait for food, and they truly appreciate your business.

this is the greasyburgerjoint at its best. the natural cut fries are delicious and so are the buns. it's a great value too. you get a lot of food for little cost.

loved it.

got just a regular cheeseburgerwith mayo, lettuce and tomato. the buns were awesome. lean meat but not dry. fries were good but next time i may ask for them well done. no one really does crispy fries well around here.

definitely will be a once a week place for me.

two of my co-workers brought up patty wagon in a recent lunchtime discussion about the bestburgerplaces in okc.  i had to try it.  everything is about what i expected from talking to my co-workers and reading reviews.  it is in an old whataburger building.  they use rather thick, mildly sweet hamburger buns.  the french fries are just okay - not much potato flavor - and they are served generously.

you can make your own burger, or you can go with one of their recipes.  their recipes don't deviate much from the standard recipes, e.g. mushrooms + onions + swiss, blue cheese + bacon, jalapenos + pepper jack cheese.   however, it is worth noting that there are not one, but two burgers on the menu that are spicy: the taser and the big john.  my co-worker got the big john but got the grilled jalapenos on the side because they use fresh jalapenos and he wants to be able to control the heat.  personally, i got the jailhouse bluesburgerwith bacon and blue cheese.  i like my bacon crispy, and that's what i found on my burger.  there was enough blue cheese to make it tasty.

my only disappointment is that i was expecting a greasy burger, comparable to nic's grill or tucker's or s & b's.  instead, i got a rather lean patty.  i had the same experience when i went to irma'sburgershack.  i guess grass fed beef = lean beef.

you are not going to find a betterburgerin the area. reasonably priced and generously served. love the fries and the meat tastes fresh. never over cooked like a lot ofburgerjoints. in the age of high priced hamburgers, this is an oasis.

wrongburger& rude staff. i ordered the big john,, jalepenos, pepper jack cheese, green chilis & i got a onionburgerwith bacon... when i noticed i told the girl that took our order that theburgerwas good, but we got the wrong one..in a snotty tone, what do you want me to do about it, we will get it right the next time you come in.. she then heard my companion saying they should compensate for the wrong order, she came over & said give me your receipt, you want your money back or what. she then snatched & i do mean snatched the receipt out of his hand... he finally just looked up & said just forget it. you could hear her & the other's in the back discussing it rather loudly.. i will not go back with that kind of attitude.. rude she was.. and yes they were out back smoking cigs again...gross

not bad, but not the best.... i got aburgerand fries and it was pretty good. i think ron's in mwc or tastyburgerin choctaw is better, but to each his own. the thing that i didn't like was the bun. it's a bit on the sweet side, kind of like those hawaiianburgerbuns. if you like that, then i'm sure you'll love this burger. go try it, and see what you think. i wouldn't make another special trip for it, but if i were in the area and friends wanted to try it out, i'd go again.

quite good. better than irma's and tucker's combined, if the local beef thing is your motive, and a bit cheaper to boot. the local beef actually tastes like beef instead of like nothing, as with the other two. reminds me of five guys--huge order of good salty fries, foil-wrapped juicy burgers, good griddled buns. upper third of the best burgers in town, probably. as for the price, the fries order is reasonably big enough for 2 people (it fills a 22-ounce cup to-go), and i'm not sure who gets $5 milkshakes then complains about it. you get shakes at braum's, not $7burgerplaces.

i tried to find their website to let them know but it had lapsed. my wife and i drove across town last night to try patty wagon for the first time.

everyone was friendly. the inside was nicer than the outside.

it took awhile to get our food even though they were not very busy.

when we received our burgers we noticed the meat was burned and my wife'sburgerwas so burn on one side she could not eat it but the fries were great.

i kept looking around to let someone know but they never came around again.

probably will keep looking for a goodburgerplace.

we have tried urma's downtown and it is great just too far to go unless we are in the area. we live south at sw 119th.
