patty wagon

pretty disappointing. i ordered a basic burger n' fries. i got a cup of way overcooked greasy fries and a foil wrapped burger with a smushed, grilledbunand some wilted lettuce and tomato on top.
the beef was fine, which rescued what could have been a horrible burger, but thebunand fries were in very poor shape. overall it wasn't expensive but for a place that does just burgers and french fries it could have been better.
my quest for a good hamburger in oklahoma city continues...

on the fence. this review is going to be a little dry for the reason i was just not sure concerning overall experience so it left me on the fence. great handmade fries that were displayed extremely well. the hamburger beef was seasoned well and cooked nice with there was a good amount of lettuce ect added to hamburger. the hamburgerbunseemed to be over sweet but was fresh. the price, ambience and cleanliness are where it fell apart. the price structure would be seen in a full service restaurant and not fast food which this definitely would be considered. the atmosphere is where i was put off the most as we were serenaded loudly by the staff members yelling about everything and anything, seemed like a frat party instead of a restaurant. the cleanliness from the surface was in great need of attention including the bathroom. overall if it was not for the price and if i was going for takeout this would be on the list every now and then for quick grabs of nourishment.

quit smoking cigarettes a few years back, but i still have a cheeseburger every thursday.  i like to mix it up, especially now that there are so many burger joints in town.  seems like there's more burger stops than churches these days.

so patty wagon is an old favorite— been eating their sandwiches since they were at the old trailer by the hibdon tire.  the wagon makes a mean burger, but what really sets them apart is their amazing buns.  imagine a toastedbunmade out of hawaiian bread, yellow cake, and butter.  okay, now imagine a juicy patty covered with cheese, fried onions, bacon, and a fried egg.

french fries are also top-notch— freshly cut, a lot like johnnie's fries when they used to be consistent.  another cool thing about this joint is the long list of condiments and add-ons.  hell, they even make their own special mayos! i like the spicy.

great burgers. i absolutely love this place! my husband and i have been here several times and have never been disappointed. they have the best burgers i have ever tasted and believe me i have tasted a lot of different burgers. burgers are nice and juicy and the sweetbunis great. the staff are very friendly. i can't wait to go here again, always a pleasure.

we tried patty wagon 14 december. we don’t often find ourselves south of 39th on may, unless i’m hitting the lowe’s there :), and on this particular saturday we had been in the shepherd mall area, so we gave it a try. those were some darn fine burgers. the meat had great flavor, and a nice crust on the outside, with a very juicy interior. a bit more juicy than thebuncould handle (i had a double, btw), as over the course of eating thebundisintegrated. i finished the meal using a fork. but it was really good regardless. i liked the fries as well, they were rough cut and tasted like potatoes should. we all got shakes (huge and thick and great), and regular drinks as well, so the check of $56.08 is a little higher than it would have been for a regular meal. i would be happy to go back.

excellent burger. thebunwas perfect and the sea(?) salt on the fries was perfect. would definitely go again when in town. the only thing bad was there is no sign by the road so it easy to miss.

ate there for the first time tonight. awesome burger. the best i've ever had. seriously good. high quality beef. thebunis delicious - not just some bread sackbunlike everyone else has. i can't wait to eat there again. i wish i would have found this place earlier.

tried the turkey sandwich today. tasty!
tried to resist an order of those delicious fries. futile!

best. burger. ever.. had dinner there on saturday evening and loved it! thebunis amazing and toasted perfectly. love the fact that their beef is local and grass-fed - it was great! the patties seem to be a 'self' patty and made for a juicy burger. not greasy, which i love! they had a variety of cheeses, which is a nice change. loved their pw sauce 2 which is mustard based. can't speak about sauce 1 as none o us tried it. great old fashioned burger! oh, no bacon which we wanted. also the chocolate cake was basic, but delicious and moist.

this is an outdoor truck and it was hotter than blazes that night. however they have picnic tables with big umbrellas which worked well enough that we ate outside. nice idea!

very clean. we have eaten here several times and the place is always spotless. so surprised to see that some thought it wasn't.
my husband loves the officer pat combo. great burger, perfectly seasoned, love thebunand the veggies on his burger. almost enough to make me want to break my diet and eat one!
i always have the turkey sandwich, without the bacon. real turkey on a wheat bun. yum!
they have cute kids items. officer cheesy with a choice of real cheese, or a jr officer -- same great beef in a small package. they sometimes have corn dogs which my kids love.
this is a terrific family place! we eat here at least once a week. they are also eco friendly -- hard to find in the city. love patty wagon!

all i can say is that any place that has the number 1 fixed with green chiles and jalapeño is my kind of place. the sweetbunmixed with the spicy peppers and fresh local beef is perfection. i am a pretty health conscious guy, but i crave that burger almost daily!

patty wagon serves the best burgers in okc. the local, grass-fed beef is amazing. they serve fresh, locally purchased produce. the slightly sweet sourdoughbunis delicious, although some people say it's a little too sweet. for those people i recommend the wheatbunas an alternative. give this place a try and i promise you won't be disappointed.
i like s&b's and tucker's, but i love patty wagon! trust me on this one, i am honest abe.

simply the best!!. i've been in okc now since 2005 and i love burgers! patty wagon has the best burgers in okc! the meat is awesome! local, grass fed, 100% beef!! what more can you ask for? perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. thebunis a sweet, sourdough that is a wonderful compliment. you can dress your burger anyway you choose or go for a pre-selected combo. i personally enjoy picking my own cheese, grilled onions, ripe tomatoes and premium lettuce. simply sublime! oh, and the fries? hand cut and fried up! yum! not sure i'll be able to eat a burger anywhere else. don't go for the ambiance, just a seriously great burger experience. you won't be sorry. the fact it's local, environmentally conscious doesn't hurt either! :)

lock me up. great burger...bunis a little too sweet--fix that and i'll be back.

best burger ever!!!. i am a food snob, but this place was amazing! the old school diner feel was reminiscent of my childhood burger joint. the staff was courteous and kind. i was greeted by the man behind the grill, whom i later learned was also the owner. the burger was awesome and it felt homemade. i felt like great care had been taken with the preparation of my food. the burger was juicy and the produce was fresh and crisp, and thebunwas out of this world! the fries were crisp and seasoned to perfection and the soda i had was perfectly mixed and they have that awesome crushed ice like sonic. by the time i was finishing my meal the owner had personally refilled our drinks and checked on how we were enjoying our food. i felt as well taken care of at this burger joint as i do at a nice restaurant.

just when i thought the only patty wagon burger i'd ever order would be "a single, onions only, with the #2 sauce"...i tried the beanie burger, talk about stepping out of the "burger box"...there are days i wake up craving a burger from patty wagon!! the burgers and fries are perfectly cooked. those buns!!!! i've never had abunlike the ones from patty wagon. and bryce, the owner, greets you, wether he's behind the counter cooking or in front checking on the customers. he uses quality hormone free grass fed local beef. and did i mention the buns?!?!
