parkers' lighthouse

my uncle took us to eat at the famous parkers'lighthousefor lunch.  i ordered a delicious kobe burger with sweet potato pies that he recommended... it was perfect!  i asked uncle requested a table with a view, and we weren't disappointed. my sister had a club sandwich, my uncle a salad, and everything was fresh and delicious. the location is in a very touristy location, so i imagined it was mostly popular with out-of-towners... but that weekend there were definitely private parties for graduation happening, so its long history in the area definitely makes it a destination for a little bit of everyone.

long time favorite is this gem that is been there for as long as i remember in long beach.

the seafood in this place is something to die for with the wide range of variety offered on the menu. the place is also great for big parties and a walk in shoreline village right after a meal whether it is a sunset, a nice evening, or a weekend.

seafood!. parkerlighthouseis a long time favorite of mine. located by the water in the city of long beach this restaurant offers the freshest seafood and friendliest service anyone could ask for. my dinner was taken by a waitress who had much experience in what she does.she was very knowledgeable of everything on the menu and offered a few items that i may be interested in. i started with a cup of clam chowder soup which was hot and creamy and very delicious. next, i had the calamari which was tender and very light in texture ,not chewy like some places and they offer a delicious dipping sauce with it. after that i had the fish & chips.the fish was a fresh cod,very flaky and moist with a crispy batter and a tasty tartar sauce for dipping. after eating my late night snack i realized that i can go for another round that's how good and light my snack was.i really like parker'slighthousebecause they offer fresh seafood and ingredients and the service is always impeccable.

california's best oceanfront restaurants for your valentine. parker'slighthouserestaurant is located in shoreline village in long beach, and is a close 2nd of one of my favorite places. the have a gorgeous view of the the harbor, ocean as-well. plus should you choose to sit on the 2nd floor you can see farther out to the sea. the manager, michael of the establishment told me a few years ago they have a new vast, brand new-wine cellar up-stairs. in addition to this he'd explained on the 3rd floor they have a new restaurant called: queens view steakhouse. thou, i've never eaten on the 3rd floor i can only imagine their entrees are as amazing as the 1st floor. i love their shrimp cocktail, fish & chips and of-course a fine glass of california chardonnay. they have an open table policy, but do except walk-in patrons. i've never made a reservation here, as i prefer to sit outside for the view of the ocean. you can make a reservation on-line too at: http://www.parkerslighthouse.com/ the pic/below is the view from outside. lovely...

parker'slighthouseneeds to work on service to the customers. waitress brought food to the table and placed it in front of wrong people. after about 10 minutes of wait she returned and told us to just switch plates. we told her that was not acceptable. she immediately asked if we waited to see the manager. she never attempted to fix the problem. the manager did "fix" the problem but the damage had been done. food was not that great!!
