parkers' lighthouse

my uncle took us to eat at the famous parkers' lighthouse for lunch.  i ordered a delicious kobe burger with sweet potato pies that he recommended... it was perfect!  i asked uncle requested a table with a view, and we weren't disappointed. my sister had a club sandwich, my uncle a salad, and everything was fresh and delicious. the location is in a very touristy location, so i imagined it was mostly popular with out-of-towners... but that weekend there were definitely private parties for graduation happening, so its long history in the area definitely makes it a destination for a little bit of everyone.

good food, a little pricy but basically what you would expect for this type of restaurant. the calamari was delicious and we had a great view right by the window.

long time favorite is this gem that is been there for as long as i remember in long beach.

i love the happy hour deals.

the seafood in this place is something to die for with the wide range of variety offered on the menu. the place is also great for big parties and a walk in shoreline village right after a meal whether it is a sunset, a nice evening, or a weekend.

second visit to this restaurant that seems to be the most desirable venue in longbeach. monday eve and it was packed to the rafters.

location location location.

this is one of the best looking restaurants - unpretentious and perfectly located overlooking the yachts, cruise liners and iconic lighthouse. perfect for sundowners as you sit on the deck. the beautiful wooden double story offers views from inside and out. great little wine cellar.

oh the food.. i had a mahi mahi line fish - one of their signature dishes. it was alright. not spectacular. the restaurant is though...best venue ever for a business dinner over 4 hours

ah, the shoreline village. it's by far the nicest place to dine in long beach. and what better than to get the most priviledged view in the whole place? never ever had i a bad time or experience at parker's lighthouse.
their specialty is seafood, of course. and it's glorious. but take an occassional chance on their steaks, because they sure know how to cook them.
the place is extremely nice, the prsentation is nicer and their desserts are sublime. order a lot of them and try of each other's glasses. 
good wait staff, as well. ask for recommendations!

sent to lounge and told menu was the same which it wasn't. very limited selection in the lounge. the food offered not the same as online menu.

california's best oceanfront restaurants for your valentine. parker's lighthouse restaurant is located in shoreline village in long beach, and is a close 2nd of one of my favorite places. the have a gorgeous view of the the harbor, ocean as-well. plus should you choose to sit on the 2nd floor you can see farther out to the sea. the manager, michael of the establishment told me a few years ago they have a new vast, brand new-wine cellar up-stairs. in addition to this he'd explained on the 3rd floor they have a new restaurant called: queens view steakhouse. thou, i've never eaten on the 3rd floor i can only imagine their entrees are as amazing as the 1st floor. i love their shrimp cocktail, fish & chips and of-course a fine glass of california chardonnay. they have an open table policy, but do except walk-in patrons. i've never made a reservation here, as i prefer to sit outside for the view of the ocean. you can make a reservation on-line too at: http://www.parkerslighthouse.com/ the pic/below is the view from outside. lovely...

horrible service!!!!. the only positive aspect of this restaurant was the incredible view. the food seemed overpriced due to the small portion size and the bland flavors. my service experience was highly unacceptable and also contributes to such a low rating.
it was my father-in-law's 60th birthday and we had called in a reservation with instructions that we were bringing some birthday cake that needed to be kept in a freezer, they agreed and said it could be done. upon arrival the ice cream cakes were given to the manager at the reception desk with specific instructions. when time came to bring out the cakes the manager brought out the melted cakes without explanation or apology. i had even observed some waiters laughing as they walked by commenting on how the management had screwed up. this had many of the family members extremely upset die to the lack of communication from the management. on top of it all, no concessions of any kind were offered for their mistake. our experience had made such a negative impression that i felt this review was necessary for other potential customers.

this oversight of the management with the lack of explanation or apology was unacceptable on every level and as a result make the assessment that the service was highly lacking with incompetent service. this incident with the bland food and high price makes this restaurant only good for the view. there are plenty of great views in long beach with better food, prices, and definitely service.

the food is very basic and not very exciting for the price; too bad given the great atmosphere and location.

food was cold, soggy and just underwhelming. to top it off, expensive too. waiter gave good service.

splitting a plate. we stopped in and split a fantastic plate of stuffed shrimp. it was wonderful the potatoes were smooth and rich, the vegies were cooked perfectley with just that little bit of snap left in them. the view is beautiful its just a relaxing place to have dinner especially if you are able to sit out on the patio.

food was excellent! we loved the crab stuffed shrimp. chocolate cake was huge & rich.

fantastic crab cakes! adequate price for what you great. wine list is awesome! recommended!
