awesome. new place (2007, if memory serves), but they capture the authenticity of a true parisianfrenchbistro better than any other restaurant we've tried in the u.s. gorgeous decor, beautiful vista overlooking rittenhouse square, and amazing food (breakfast, lunch, or dinner - we tried them all). my wife isfrenchand she loved it. amazing coffee, as well.

parc is the quintessentialfrenchbistro with wonderful food, brisk but friendly service, and a great vibe. the food is top notch, from the bread basket to the tomato tart to the nicoise salad; it was all prepared perfectly. even my two eggs scrambled with cheese, sausage and the 2 tomato slices (requested on the side and looked like they came from someone's garden) were memorable when i made a sandwich with the baguette in the basket. the crispy lyonnaise potatoes were also excellent. our party of 6 sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the experience (be sure to request outside seating along18th street for full shade in the morning). it's very busy and the outside tables fill up quickly so you definitely need a reservation for brunch.

this is for a series of posts for stephen starr restaurants including:alma de cuba, barclay prime, butcher and singer, continental midtown & martini bar, the dandelion, el rey, el vez, jones, parc, pizzeria stella, route 6 [1], route 6 [2], & square burger. the first time i tried parc was after a nye tasting at twenty manning grill. the gf and i came for a few cocktails before heading to a nye party with some friends. the atmosphere at thisfrenchbrasserie was comfortable and cozy, decked out in a celebratory mode.

i've only been here for brunch and i've left happy every time but if you don't like the commotion and bustle of a starr restaurant, then you're probably going to roll your eyes at parc. of all of his places, this one is probably my favorite. the restaurant is every francophile's dream come true. the (brunch) food is goodfrenchbistro cuisine and the bread in the bread baskets is out of this world.

i had 2 gorgeous dining experiences in parc when i was living in philadelphia. first was a valentine's day brunch with some girlfriends and it was definitely worth the long wait. i had the special strawberry v-day bellini and poached eggs with bacon and other trimmings, the best part is the basket offrenchbread and butter and the side offrenchfries! the second time i went we tried an assortment of dishes including the fish cakes which were superb and the tortellini pasta, i also had the club sandwich which was massive. the titos cocktails were superb but too easy to drink i ended up leaving brunch a little worse for wear! this place is a must! such a good atmosphere and friendly staff too!

french feel. i’ve visited parc a few times now, and i love it. it really does have afrenchbistro atmosphere, to the point that the first time i walked in i nearly switched tofrenchto communicate. (for the record i’ll not claim to be afrenchrestaurant expert, but i’ve visited a few times and i’m basing my comparison on my experiences). the meals don’t disappoint and neither do the drinks. though i’ll add that the desserts could use an upgrade. still, if visiting downtown philly i recommend a trip to parc.

go for the food stay for the scenery.. parc is situated on rittenhouse square and a perfectly appointedfrenchbrasserie. its menu is a mix of complex and simple. honestly spoken, i could take or leavefrenchpeople but their art, culture, and food are an object of obsession. parc exhibits an outstanding aesthetic while delivering food an atmosphere that rivals anything from la belle. i'm a huge fan of their locally sourced charcuterie as well as their absolutely perfect braised beef short rib. the frites are a thing of beauty and perfectly matched with a medium cooked bacon cheese burger if you're looking to eat big. i cannot say enough wonderful things about this establishment.

in celebration of bastille day, it’s just fitting to visit philadelphia’s most popular brasserie. the atmosphere is sofrenchwith outdoor seating and a poignant looking bar area inside with tungsten lighting. the decor has an undercurrent of sophistication and blasé with wrought iron stained colored fixtures and antique like brass trimmed mirrors. then, you’re greeted by a smiling face and you’re back in philadelphia.

once in a while i become nostalgic for my life in paris. i miss every single detail that  put together make paris so magical. i miss the beauty that covers every inch of the streets, the cobblestone streets, the sound of thefrenchambulance, the beautiful well groomed people, the language and the food. when nostalgia hits the only way to satisfy it is to find afrenchbistro where you can pretend that for an hour, just for one hour, you are back in paris. in philadelphia this can be found at rittenhouse square at the parc brasserie. every single detail from the yellow fiber braided bistro chair on the outside to the layout of the restaurant on the inside and most importantly the menu seems to fit the profile of being afrenchbrasserie. from the outside, the restaurant looks quite small but stepping to the inside you'll be surprised to see just how large it really is. we managed to find a seat outside overlooking the park where people watching is at its premium. after ordering two gla

parc bistro and cafe in rittenhouse square in philadelphia is a large, bustlingfrenchrestaurant, and i immediately felt at home walking into this brasserie.  the staff was attentive without being intrusive, allowing my colleagues and me to enjoy our leisurely dinner.

betty and i had a business brunch meeting last sunday morning. typically, when i have meetings, i caffeinate with coffee and splenda, but betty and i opted for parc's brunch cocktails. i didn't bike all the way to rittenhouse to not have a mimosa. once we committed to the cocktail menu, i toyed with the idea of a bloody mary or a spiked apple cider, as they are on my list of foods and drinks that i want to like, but just can't seem to acquire the taste. with bloody marys, i feel like i'm drinking cocktail sauce and the spiked cider, it's warm, i can't do it. so mimosas it was and disappointed i was not. after betty and i had a successful consultation for a custom weaving (here's her site - hire her!), we re-focused our eye on the prize: food. we were both looking for something sweet over something savory, and thus "narrowed" our selections to parc's assorted pastries, yogurt parfait, a side of berries, and briochefrenchtoast with apples and hazelnut butter. note to self: it is not al
