rude server didn't end up dining...my husband was taking a client out & we had planned to dine at parc. when we pulled up, two outside parc servers were standing at entrance & my husband asked a question about valet, the male waiter responded so rude & condescending (as i also watched him make a face at my husband as well) while my husband went to move the car i proceeded to see what other establishments were in the area since i had no intention of patronizing a place who was rude regardless of food reputation, proceeded to choose devon. asked an outside waiter there a question & he couldn't of been more pleasant, hostesses were lovely and our waiter dave was outstanding!!!! we had a fabulous meal & delightful experience. will definitely return - guess things happen for a reason.

cream brule they serve is just perfect! one of the best. right amount of sweetness, flavour , sugar coating on the top. oh love it. the chocolate lava brownie , i really don't know it's actual name that appears on the menu is amazing too. their chocolate is rich with flavour. love the desserts here.

awesome. new place (2007, if memory serves), but they capture the authenticity of a true parisian french bistro better than any other restaurant we've tried in the u.s. gorgeous decor, beautiful vista overlooking rittenhouse square, and amazing food (breakfast, lunch, or dinner - we tried them all). my wife is french and she loved it. amazing coffee, as well.

it felt like paris. the atmosphere was pretty much like being in a brasserie in paris on a saturday evening.
we sat at an indoor table with a great view of the sidewalk at the corner. after a while, it felt almost like being at a sidewalk table of the deux magots in saint-germain-des-prés.
and it wasn't just the location and atmosphere.
the service and food were great. we really enjoyed the whole experience.

paris, pennsylvania--starr's best, most focused spot in the city. beautiful space, incredible location and food and drink that is among phillys finest! been here 50 times and have yet to be let down.

i was actually pretty blown away. resisted...looked suspicious. i've been in 29 countries in the last two years and have seen it all.
i"m pretty much a foodie and a service stickler, and i walked away raving about this place.
it gets busy, make sure and let the server know that you expect a good experience-the food is really amazing.

really top notch service. one of the best places to grab a seat outside and people watch. it's right across from rittenhouse sq. nice selection of seafood and oysters.

love the the complementary bread basket and the iced mocha. the wait is long on the weekends but you can leave your name and take a walk at the park which is right next to you

when i need a reminder

i’m definitely a sucker for anything that can transport me to paris, even if it’s just a brief reminder. i always enjoy an early morning breakfast here, especially when it’s quiet and not many people. food is always very tasty and service is always on. i gotta say it’s always one of my favorite breakfasts...... grab a table by the glass doors and enjoy the people watching!

amazing food. great atmosphere.

everything was excellent :bread, drinks, service, atmosphere, etc. onion soup was perfect. the noise level is high, but this not a problem for us.

this classic bistro makes you feel like you've been transported to paris in another time. the crusty breads, the classic seafood dishes! dover sole, trout almadine.. fantastic. wonderful service in the sepia toned winding bistro with dark wood booths and wonderful period lighting. sit inside or on the sidewalk over looking rittenhouse square. a treat!

parc is the quintessential french bistro with wonderful food, brisk but friendly service, and a great vibe. the food is top notch, from the bread basket to the tomato tart to the nicoise salad; it was all prepared perfectly. even my two eggs scrambled with cheese, sausage and the 2 tomato slices (requested on the side and looked like they came from someone's garden) were memorable when i made a sandwich with the baguette in the basket. the crispy lyonnaise potatoes were also excellent. our party of 6 sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the experience (be sure to request outside seating along18th street for full shade in the morning). it's very busy and the outside tables fill up quickly so you definitely need a reservation for brunch.

the atmosphere and food were wonderful, the server was polite (the restaurant was packed). the only thing is that it wasn't quite worth the price, and it's not the most gluten free friendly of places. however, i am gluten free and was able to find plenty to eat, and everything was delicious.

this is for a series of posts for stephen starr restaurants including:alma de cuba, barclay prime, butcher and singer, continental midtown & martini bar, the dandelion, el rey, el vez, jones, parc, pizzeria stella, route 6 [1], route 6 [2], & square burger. the first time i tried parc was after a nye tasting at twenty manning grill. the gf and i came for a few cocktails before heading to a nye party with some friends. the atmosphere at this french brasserie was comfortable and cozy, decked out in a celebratory mode.

expensive? yes. worth it? absolutely. a little piece of paris in rittenhouse square. wonderful brasserie with excellent cocktails, solid wine list and impressive food. we were there for brunch and had a great experience. order the seafood plater, great value! pamplemousse sparkling cocktail is a must. quiche lorraine. caviar eggs. #dayinphily
