great bartenders at parc’s bar who asked frequently how i was doing and service was quick and attentive. absolutely recommend and will go back for brunch , lunch or dinner at the bar but beware the place is often packed with crowds at the bar. bar has standard bar stools. depending where you sit you sometimes only face the wall but several seats will give you a view of the action within the restaurant. be prepared to wait for a bar seat or have a backup in the neighborhood. once you do sit down don’t be surprised if you get jostled a bit by the crowd.

would i revisit parc?
definitely. it’s a dependable option for a solidly good meal. will never be a first choice for me but can see it being a regular haunt.

i honestly felt like i had taken a trip to paris over the course of one lunch outing. to start the experience, guests can choose to dine al fresco with a gorgeous view of rittenhouse square (especially perfect with philly’s sunny springtime weather as of late) or inside the airy space of the bistro. we opted for a mix of both, sitting inside next to a window overlooking the street.

the menu doesn’t attempt to reinvent the wheel nor does it aspire to stretch beyond typical bistro fare. the plates are simple and well-executed and inspire that kind of leisurely lingering so reminiscent of the café culture of paris.

once in a while i become nostalgic for my life in paris. i miss every single detail that  put together make paris so magical. i miss the beauty that covers every inch of the streets, the cobblestone streets, the sound of the french ambulance, the beautiful well groomed people, the language and the food. when nostalgia hits the only way to satisfy it is to find a french bistro where you can pretend that for an hour, just for one hour, you are back in paris. in philadelphia this can be found at rittenhouse square at the parc brasserie. every single detail from the yellow fiber braided bistro chair on the outside to the layout of the restaurant on the inside and most importantly the menu seems to fit the profile of being a french brasserie. from the outside, the restaurant looks quite small but stepping to the inside you'll be surprised to see just how large it really is. we managed to find a seat outside overlooking the park where people watching is at its premium. after ordering two gla

great find in philly. if you are looking for a paris style bistro experience/menu inphilly - this is a good place to put on your must go to list..

was in town for a conference and was taken here for my birthday. located nicely across from a perfect little city park , near other eateries and shops - there was alot of life in the area on probably one of the last warm friday evenings in november. we ate inside and sat by a window - but they still had table service outside as they had excellent heaters placed along the outside of their space - but we opted to eat in. onion soup, escargot, steak tartare and duck were all amazing. great cocktails, and they brought out a meringue cookie assortment complete with lighted sparkler for my birthday! we ordered desserts - also outstanding.
finished with an absinthe.
great service and awesome fellow diners
make this must stop if you are looking for some bistro food , outstanding service and very enjoyable dining room vibe.

sitting by the window and people watching while eating was a definite plus.

reminds me of europe. my husband and i tried this restaurant out on a warm, sunny summer day. we sat outside where the tables are positioned primarily for people watching- which is excellent at this location. i give the ambiance a very high rating- it reminded me of the restaurants in amsterdam that are set up in the same fashion. the inside had a neat parisian feel to it and the restaurant is surprisingly large.

the wine selection wasn't the greatest for those that don't want to commit to a bottle, but i wasn't that surprised. we did a selection of cheeses- wow. they were incredible. and the bread that came with it was also delicious. for lunch i had the tomato tart, which was light and wonderful. the balsamic made it taste more like a dessert. my husband had the steak sandwich and told me it was very good.

the service was prompt and persistent.

we would definitely go back, especially when we can eat outside.

great eggs benny!. came here for brunch and ordered the eggs benedict. i love the atmosphere here, as it reminds me so much of being in france :) sidewalk seating all around the open air restaurant... the service is good but need to come early for brunch on a saturday if you want outdoor seating.
really enjoyed the eggs benedict and potatoes!

amazing experience!. we walked in at 5 minutes to close and while they let us know that the kitchen was closing soon, they were patient and allowed us to enjoy our meal with the other patrons. the food was absolutely amazing, in my top 5 best meals ever. located right on rittenhouse park, it was tranquil and romantic. we loved it and would go back again and again. highly recommended!

parc has a great atmosphere –  bustling and lively with an elegant bar and terrace.  its ‘mega bistro’ concept is similar to nyc’s balthazar and pastis and the friendly, chatty staff help maintain an unpretent

when i walked in i was surprised by how big the restaurant was. it looked like a corner bistro from the outside but the inside was huge. since i was alone and not overly hungry, i sat at the bar and ordered a beer. i asked the bartender if i could get the mashed potatoes and though a little odd to just order a side dish, he asked in the back and the mashed potatoes that are usually for dinner were ready. score! after ordering i headed to the restroom which i wouldn’t usually talk about but the decor was very interesting. basically, it was a showcase of picture of naked women from years past. i guess it’s a fre

parc bistro and cafe in rittenhouse square in philadelphia is a large, bustling french restaurant, and i immediately felt at home walking into this brasserie.  the staff was attentive without being intrusive, allowing my colleagues and me to enjoy our leisurely dinner.

paris meets philadelphia. i hate those quaint little bistros around the u.s. that are so faux paris you feel like you are at epcot. every city has one or two. but parc on rittenhouse square really does feel like a bistro in paris. i had to stop several times and remind myself that i was in philly!
it's large and has some architectural feel to it. the menu is authentic.
i had the osso busco and it was very good. our entire table was very happy with our entrees.
we had a wonderful server who was in good spirits and knew the menu and offered real suggestions to our table.
the outdoor tables (we did eat inside) are great for lunch or brunch as they are right on rittenhouse square and on a nice day look awesome for some great people watching.
