i was quite small when i last visited this place... and i must say they have so far maintained their standards... be it their food, the ambience or the service... like always too good... n my favourite part- the payesh they serve...love it...

my first visit to guwahati and as friends suggested, straight headed to this place.

they offer limited ala carte options and specialises in assamese thalis.
i opted for the non veg assamese thali. it did not disappoint.

generous proportion of rice, dal, sides, fish and 3pc chicken.

taste - 4/5 (bit high on mustard)
ambiance - 3/5
service -4/5

worth a visit.

best thakli pai, its one of d besi thali restaurant in assam guwahati, pocket friendly,

non vegetarian vyanjan thali: with just 300 rs. this meal is really a good deal in the city having both meat and fish. khorika restaurent charges rs. 250 but serves either meat or fish. delicacy restaurant charges rs. 500 for meat thali and 450 for fish thali. the ambience is really gud. seating arrangement is gud. not crowded like other two. there is no second serving but the amount is more than one can eat.

value for money. good food and warm service. perfect place for family outing. ethnic food lovers must give a try. very neat and hygienic environment

all traditional food in their menu, price is high. parking is a problem, the thali they got is all about assamese food,,only one table which got a center of attraction.

this is the 2nd assamese authentic place that i have visited with my friend and i was not disappointed. although i don't know much about assamese dishes, but i loved it.😊

ambience: cool and cosy place, with lights all around, and for all the couples out there, this place is just lovely.
food: we ordered the non-veg thali and the food was yummy. i loved most of the items but i feel some of them could be better. but nevertheless, it was tasty.
service: the food came too late. but apart from that the service is good.

this place is a yayy yayy. 🤘👍👌

one of the best places in guwahati to try local assamese cuisine. they have standard veg and non veg thali's and few additional snacks. reasonably priced. few dishes have very strong mustard essence. ambience is simple. service is fast. simple authentic food. must visit.

haters will hate, but believe me folks i have been dining at this place since i was around 5 years old and it simply never ceases to amaze me. sure shot the best authentic food you will taste in the region!

stopped by at this restaurant last week on my way to the airport to have lunch. delicious fish curry with rice made for a sumptuous meal. the fish tenga and the fish cooked in mustard was cooked really well. good service and clean hygienic ambience.

went for dinner to dis oldest n famous ethnic assamese cuisine restaurant...after a long time tasted sum gud food...with a combination of local fish...row n basha fish...pigeon curry, mutton curry...n dey have duck curry also...so didn't order it... it'll b too heavy... u ll b find all des tempting dishes in d 'parampara thali'...d staff d ambience everything was nice n great....!!

came here when i was a kid...and entered again after about 15 years later. service was good. sitting arrangements are good too. staff was good and friendly. the restaurant is neat and clean. there are two types of thalis. assamese and parampara thali.
we ordered parampara thali and 🐐/🐔 curry will come along. and for extra we did order fish in banana leaf and paneer in banana leaf😀....hehe never heard of it...but u will get in here. taste is average..and the fish in banana leaf is great. have it. u can have 🍺...but it doesn't suit with assamese thali. and at last doi was served to us and it was above good.
pigeon meat is not good don't waste ur 💰... don't let a pigeon die.

the best assamese food i had in my life.

food :- 9/10
pigeon curry is a must try.
paneer bamboo starter is awesome too.

ambience :- 7/10
a decent neighbourhood restaurant.
clean and orderly.

service :- 8/10
service is slow but you don't mind waiting for this awesome food.

oldest one but still the top one for regional favourites i must say that the food is good both quality and quantity is maintained properly prices are good and staffs too
