pappadeaux seafood kitchen

oysters!!!. while i was on 75n driving past pappadeaux's i saw a sign that i knew would make me eat there that night. 6 dollars for a dozen oysters!

when i came back later on that night with my date the place was packed! luckily we found a space at the bar. the bartenders were quite attentive. serving our drinks in about 5 mins after we sat down. the oysters came out in about 10 mins. and were very sweet tasting. usually i like to order some salmon when i'm there. but this time we opted for the appetizer trio. the gator was very good. the cajun seasoning made it perfect. the cheese, shrimp, crawdad bowl was quite tasty and went well with the french bread. calamari was good not not rubbery. seasoned just right and was filling. i look forward to going back to pappadeaux's. and i can't wait for the one to open in grapevine.

dining is "food" and "atmosphere". the food is pretty good; pricey, but good. but, the atmosphere is lacking. it is a huge room filled with tables and the noise is overwhelming. people do enjoy going there (stating the obvious) and thus the crowds. but, for our tastes in a dining experience, it is just too noisy to be pleasant.

great happy hour bar. attentive, friendly bar staff and a delicious bar menu.

the name says it all. i think a review is somewhat unnecessary, the wait and delectable smell when you walk through the doors say it all.........

cajun texas style. i am a crawfishaholic, and when they have them on special here, its the best deal in town. they spice 'em right, and add new taters and corn, so its a perfect meal. we've had dinner and done some group parties here as well, and have always been very pleased. while theres lots of room in this joint, this location is always crowded, so make reservations or you're gonna wait forever. they have a great bar here, so choices for wash-down fluids are plentiful. service here is always good, but they get a little overwhelmed sometimes, so make your 1st contact a friendly one and you'll get that extra nudge. i think prices run a little high here, but thats a norm for a pappas bros. restaurant and the quality is top notch. parking is terrible. if you see a spot, just get in it, and quit your grippin'. the food is worth it. when you want to go to nola texas style, this is the place.

consistently great cajun food. a bit expensive for a chain, the food is always consistently good. the seafood tastes fresh and always cooked to perfection. fried shrimp, crawfish etouffee, fried oysters, fried softshell crab, grilled salmon, any desert - all outstanding. getting a table can be a challenge given the popularity, but friendly and attentive service.

not vip ... stay away... been to pappadeaux in other cities and states and never experienced such a lack of customer service for the expected... after waiting over 45 minutes to get seated (as other parties got seated) our server paid little no attention.. first attempt to seat was right next to the service counter and kitchen, and after showing displeasure, it appear we struck a nerve..no service for the first 30 minutes to include water or even greeting... found was on par but first impressions and customer services plays an important factor in the total experience at the franchise... will not write off other locations, but this one is definitely one to avoid..

best stuffed shrimp. awesome alligator. best waiter i've had in a very long time. really knows what service is.
