i don't even live here.... every time i go to tx i must find apappadeauxseafood kitchen! i love their sauteed crabfingers so much - i'm addicted. and what is worse.. i live in mo and there are nopappadeauxrestaurants here... so i am stuck with no delicious crab fingers (not fried... get the sauteed)! you texans are so lucky to have so many of these locations to choose from. note topappadeauxowners... hello... there is a huge market in kansas city... ok?! if you build it.... we will come!!

i had dinner inpappadeauxin mom's day and it was crowded! we waited for half an hour and then escorted to our table. the food was amazing! the smells are mouth watering and i find it hard to choose an entree when hou have so many options. from the dish i order it was great!

loud and expensive but the food is pretty good and our server david was excellent! four of us braved the late sunday night traffic and even though the parking lot was packed the restaurant had many empty tables. we were seated immediately and gave our drink orders. don't be in a rush to eat here, the service is efficient and friendly but the kitchen very slow even on drinks and salads, a trait of everypappadeauxwe have visited. we ordered mixed seafood grill, giant shrimp and grits, wedge salad with crawfish bisque and seafood salad. the waiter brought a loaf of hot bread and butter to start our meal and it is addicting. entrees were excellent though quite pricey, even a simple house side salad costs 4.95. the worst part of the meal was the noisy surroundings; everything is amplified here and you have to use your stadium voice to be heard. a couple of nicer things were the real linen napkins and the upscale silverware. total for four entrees, two salads, a margarita, a beer and two soft drinks was $148.72 including tip.

pre-valentine's day dinner. we arrived early, about 5:30 and were shown right to our table. wherever you go, its the samepappadeaux- and that ain't bad! don't cry about the tab, either, we have to pay for atmosphere, selection, and all those doo-dads on the walls - if you want to eat from plastic trays and utensils, with paper mats and napkins, there's a mcburger place nearby. i do not dine here often but when i do, i appreciate the experience as, so it seems, do many others. i started with the oysters pappadeaux, shrimp fondeaux, (for the mrs.), crab stuffed shrimp entrée, and key lime pie for desert. it may not be bourbon street, but we enjoyed a great meal and she left smiling...that's a plus for me!

great as usual. i have yet to have a terrible experience any of thepappadeauxbeen to. this particular one, the food was great. i always order a category five hurricane to start with and a bowl of shrimp gumbo. i also ordered the shrimp stuffed with crab and topped with cheese, its an off the menu item.... so yummy. and i ordered the smoked salmon appetizer, cooked medium just like i do. be prepared for a serious bill.... but you get what you pay for. i just wish they open one in cali...

very very good mango lemonade however no way in hell worth $4.75 per glass no refills. had i known that i would have bout an adult beverage with liquor.

update. i use to really like this place but the last few times i went there the service was horrible and the food not so great just ok. i think it has gone way down hill and probably won't be going back much. it is pricy but they give you enough food for two people so if you split a plate its reasonably better anyway.

love the deaux's.pappadeauxis the mcdonald's of cajun food and is constantly awesome. the wife and i love to go regularly and have for years. what i love most about it is we like to order salads and sometimes an appetizer then split a plate which is way more then anyone should eat on their own anyway. if you tell them your spitting an order they separate it and bring it out on two plates for you so you will feel like you both ordered our own you just have to eat the same thing. its plenty of food and either lowers your cost or lets you spend the difference on drinks or dessert. bravo pappadeaux's!

the place to avoid. wanna experience: (a) being rushed to order when the drinks and the appetizer you ordered are not in the horizon; (b) your main course is brought to the table when you're half-way your appetizer; (c) they serve a shrimp etouffee swimming in a pool of liquified grease; (d) extremely loud -and off-key- "live" music migrates from the bar area; (e) the acoustics of the place make you wonder if you would be more comfortable behind a jet engine; (f) obnoxious kids keep running and yelling all over the place? if you do, then you should go topappadeauxin pharr/mcallen, texas.

airport food.pappadeaux@ the airport is a wonderful place to dine while waiting for your next flight! the seafood cobb was awesome! had better tasting dirty rice, but even it was ok since i'd not had it in a while. wait staff was excellent, and the price of the meal was decent especially since it was in the airport. makes having a delay in dfw, a-ok!!!

the best seafood place! in dallas...???. being a new englander, i feel like i have higher standards than most on the seafood i eat. i came in and sat at the bar, i had 5 people making sure i was taken care of, and never had to ask for anything. started with the original shrimp cocktail which came with their homemade sauce... a+! for the entree i got the 'texas redfish with maine lobster' which was outstanding as well! all the while, my friend at the bar was serving me great drinks... the only bad thing i could say aboutpappadeauxwas simply that for the price of my fish, i expected more lobster or fish and less zucchini, or just charge a few dollars less. just a thought, but this is now officially my new favorite seafood place ever!!!

pappadeaux is a win. my family and i have been topappadeauxmany times. never a bad experience. some standouts are the red beans and rice (perfectly done every time), the crawfish and the gumbos. you won't go wrong. their happy hour 3-630 is awesome. very affordable and tasty. the only competition they had was ralph & kacoo's. now that they are gone the only place to get good cajun food with good service is pappadeaux's.

not vip ... stay away... been topappadeauxin other cities and states and never experienced such a lack of customer service for the expected... after waiting over 45 minutes to get seated (as other parties got seated) our server paid little no attention.. first attempt to seat was right next to the service counter and kitchen, and after showing displeasure, it appear we struck a nerve..no service for the first 30 minutes to include water or even greeting... found was on par but first impressions and customer services plays an important factor in the total experience at the franchise... will not write off other locations, but this one is definitely one to avoid..
