we like to eat at pappadeaux's for the shrimp bruschetta. it is interesting to talk to people about pappadeaux's who you have never talked to before about it and discover how many times the phrase, " i love the shrimp bruschetta!" comes up.
moving on, the setting and space of the restaurant is roomy and nice and dim. noise level obviously depends upon the crowd and if you are next to the family who brought all 6 kids to eat chicken tenders here. service for us has always been appropriate and considerate. two people do not usually have to wait too long to eat here.
most of the entrees are great and i particularly like the lobster but it does all seem to comebackto the shrimp bruschetta for us. many places you eat at will have a few knock your socks off dishes mixed in with many other good dishes. the dirty rice it comes with, however, is not that great.
our overall review of this place would be you need to get something awesome to justify the price. for us, plate of shrimp bruschetta, cup of crab bisque, dessert of pecan pie (which is mediocre) is okay but would not be for others. most of the time the price of the food here just does not match the amount or quality.
so, if you go here you are going to pay for it so go in knowing that and get something someone has told you is awesome and not something typical. for us, we recommend the shrimp bruschetta. anything less and you will leave complaining of the bill.
jg score of 7 ( +3 for food, +2 atmosphere, 0 for price, 0 for no diet dr pepper, 0 for service, +2 for we will return)
