pacific ave pizza

downhill fast!. used to be a great local pizza place. great pies,goodwine and beer with free samples. but oh no after several attempts by bald men, the place was bought and turned into a full-on dump! outta wine, outta beer, can't gave you plates and silverware because the plumbing crapped out.! the worst service, seating turned into cafeteria crap. place is dirty, greasy and pathetic! hello domino!

horrible service, only cook one pizza at a time?!?! took 1.5 hours to get food, salad forgotten served after pizza. really to bad, pizza wasgoodbut you need a few hours if they are busy. wouldn't recommend

great pizza, plus vegan cheese!!!. great pizza in a casual atmosphere. they also have vegan meat and cheese on their menu, so they can build you a vegan pie that is every bit asgoodas their regular ones! as far as i know, they are the only pizza joint in town that offers vegan cheese, so if you are out with a mixed group of people, this is a great option. i can't recommend this place highly enough!

sometimes the hipster vibe can be a little much but their garlic bread and pepperoni bread are so cheap you'll forgive pretty much anything.  even though there is usually only one waitress the service is prettygoodtoo.  at night it can turn into a bit of a dive bar and attract a rougher element but during the day it is great- i'd feel comfortable taking kids here (albeit guilty for plying them with pizza). overall a great place when you're on a budget with a fun environment.

boy meats lunch. ordered the papa georgio all meat calzone (a bold move in this neighborhood) and it was terrific. gigantic,goodcrust and great sauce. i'd order extra sauce on the side next time to dip the extra dough in. tons of garlic powder kept everyone away from me the rest of the day - a bonus. service was friendly and top notch. unfortunately by the time we exited, there were a dozen browne's addition hippies protesting our lunch, holding signs reading "save the swine!" and "pigs are people too!" one of them threw gravy on me, yelling "ban bacon!" in my face.

no, that didn't happen. but i did enjoy my genoa genocide.

i love the ave!. i love the ave! if i ever can't decide on where to eat, i go to the ave. the pizza is delicious. the calzones are delicious (and so big that they last me two days usually), the beer is cold and the sandwiches are prettygood(though over-priced for the quality, in my opinion).
downsides: too small, not enough wait staff, and they took tater tots off the menu. i love tater tots. please bring them back??? :d

anothergoodone.... so far this place has the best thin crust bacon & onion pizza i've had in town (personal fave). we also tried one of their deep-dishes (the godfather) and it was very good, too. nice to see that they don't put an ogre's amount of toppings on their pies. to me a little less is more enjoyable. their large pies are 16", yet are priced slightly less than other spokane pizza joints whose larges are 18". i enjoyed everything about the pizza. decor was typical pizza joint, with a nod to comic book theme and 80's pop icons. nice selection of microbrews on tap. the place was clean, as was the bathroom, so i don't know what kind of grudge a previous reviewer has with the place. a special mention about the young fella who was serving everybody in there. he was all over the place, friendly, and very efficient. that's not always seen in pizza joints, yet not a must for me. i would definitely go back there. my teenage boys will make me, i'm sure. they loved it. and that meant no to-go box of unfinished pizza...

fun place, great ambience. the food was very good, the service was fast and responsive with the owner running the show. really like the setting, i go there for lunch and to grade papers and the cokes keep coming all afternoon. the food reminded me of pizza places in new jersey that i want to as a kid. not asgoodas s. perry or the flying goat, but much better than any of the chains. great spot for lunch. hard to believe the negative reviews came from the same place. i've been here probably 10 times in the past year, especially when the elk is too crowded.
