prior visits we're great. however, last time wife went here she was given the wrong burger during busy hours. with that she had the burger returned. all kitchen staff did was rinse the burger off and remake it with what my wife had ordered. this doesn't remove cross contamination and isn't properfoodhandling safety and prodcedures. needless to say, not sure i want to continue giving my 24 years of business after this.

i thought it was exceptional as a whole . thefoodwas exactly what i wanted ,comfortfoodchicken fried steak & sweet potato fries with a chile ranch dip . and the shakes were delicious . i had trouble choosing which one i wanted too many great options. lastly our server provided us with terrific customer service.

killer burger, great beer on tap, root beer shake was even better.... not your thing not the place for you, otherwise you won't be disappointed. greatfoodand great service... a nice break for lunch while on the road.

not sure why anyone would rate this place less than 5. the service was perfect, the serving size was generous, thefoodwas very good. my family had the breakfast burrito, biscuits/gravy, and friendly face pancake. they offer pinon coffee. the ambience is 1960s/70s diner. the music was soft but happy. the owner was very friendly. no tvs here, you'll have to actually interact with other people. i will be coming back again every time i drive through abq.

meh...it is what it is expectedfoodand they give you food. you can't expect greatfoodbut they get the job done. it's not favorite but i would good back.

worstfoodever. i used to enjoy the owl cafe, great burgers, dogs, appetizers, and shakes!! but on oct 17 i was treated to the worst service andfoodever!! first off the waitress was not at all concerned with taking our order or paying attention to us at all! we ordered gccb and fries with a appetizer of shrooms and zukes, the burgers came half a hour after we ordered them and were cold and soggy as for the apps, the waitress informed us that the cook had burned them, but if we still wanted them she would pick out the least burned one's!! what the hell!!!?? dont eat at the owl, it will leave you utterly dissappointed !!

good but not great. i like thefoodat the san antonio location better but the abq owl has better service. the gccb is good and stands up to new mexican scrutiny. the red chile burger iirc that my wife got was awesome. i love they serve ibc root beer-turns out its one of my favs. i will go back for sure.

not a big fan of this place. the green chili cheese burger was ok but nothing to brag about. the fries were very generic. the service was bad, real bad. it took 45 mins to get myfoodand about that long for the table next to me--which the waitress dropped their tray so i wonder if they had to wait another 45, ouch! i was almost finished eating before i even got my drink which btw was wrong. i don't have to go back here.

good food, good service. it is not a healthfooddiner. southwest flair for including their burgers (green chili). great service. cakes and pies for dessert. if you can cheat for a meal, take the kids... count the owls, have a burger and a shake. good place to stop.

still good; still greasy. the owl café is on a list of two places that has not changed in all my years of dining in albuquerque. thefoodis decent, the shakes are the best, the service is jovial and you can buy a pie on the way out. a bit of a nostalgic dine for most denizens of the duke city, or a fun new place for the uninitiated. i'd recommend a juicy burger coupled with a shake.

let down. i was hoping for something good here. thefoodquality is okay, but you just feel closer to a heart attack when you leave (no matter what you ordered)!
this isn't even a good kind of greasy spoon....

eat here. just eat here. thefoodis fresh, made from scratch, and tastes like dinerfoodis supposed to, but never does anymore. even the mashed potatoes are delicious and have chunks of actual potato in them. the cooked vegetables are tasty, crunchy, definitely not limp and definitely not raw. the cream gravy is made with real cream. they have a soda fountain and know how to use it properly. i can't say enough that's good about this place. just eat here.

classic old school diner from the staff to thefoodto the decor. how many owls can you find? for breakfast i had a burrito which was huge for $9.00. retried beans in a breakfast burrito were odd but worked and just average green chile (red chile was really good) but otherwise great!

i've been eating here since i was a little one. hands down one of my all time favorite places to eat. friendly staff and excellent prices. thefoodis amazing, humble, down home american and new mexican cuisine. i couldnt say a bad thing about this place if i tried.

disappointment. what a disappointment,foodis subpar, the green chili burger is tasteless. what kind of chile are you using???? it sucks!
