our place restaurant

i'm not big on scathing reviews or exaggeration, so i am not going to pretend likebreakfastwas terrible. it was, however, a massive disappointment compared to the mansfield location. the food is not the same, which baffles me since the two locations are only about 5 minutes apart. the serving sizes are significantly smaller than the other location as well. just really disappointed - our place in mansfield is hands down our favoritebreakfastrestaurant in the dfw metroplex. we won't ever be back to the burleson location.

won't be going back. we had heard great things about this place, but we were not impressed at all. we went forbreakfastand my wife got the cinnamon french toast, our kids got the french plate and i got the sampler platter. the french toast was soggy and underdone, the scrambled eggs tasted like old expired egg beaters and the sausage and grits tasted like they were straight out of the box and not very good at all. the bacon and pancakes were pretty good. as far as the staff, our waitress had a ton of attitude and annoyed that she had to deal with us and the older lady at the checkout counter (not sure if she's the owner or manager) didn't seem interested in hearing that there were problems or adjusting our check to the 10% off that our waitress said she took off, but didn't. she took our money and then kind of ignored us. we definitely won't be going back, i don't need to pay $25 for a badbreakfastand attitude.

horrible food and horrible service!!!. a while back, i heard some positive things about the food at this restaurant, so i thought i'd go try it out for myself, this morning. what a huge disappointment!!! it took me forever to get my food, and when i did get my food, it was cold (the cheese on the omelet had even hardened on top) and probably because it was sitting for a long while before it was brought to me, the waitress was not good either! i specifically asked her if i could "substitute" (not add) one of the veggies for another veggie on my omelet, without being charged extra, because i am allergic to the one that came with the omelet. she stated yes! however, i was charged for the substitution and i was charged full price for my entire meal, even though i had already clearly conveyed how dissatisfied i was with my meal, to the female management person, i assume she is probably a manager, but not sure. she offered to remake my breakfast, but as i told her, i had to leave soon to make it to my appointment in time. why would they even need to remake a dish if it was made right to begin with, right?!! my point exactly!! honestly, the omelet and the entirebreakfast(with the flat diet pepsi) is something you can get at the supermarket, a cheap frozen entree, as that is exactly the quality of food that i received! awful and really bad quality!!!! no, i would not recommend this place!! yuk!!

bad decision. wantedbreakfastfor lunch today, a co-worker and went to our place,
my co-worker does not eat meat, she ordered the texas waffle special, she asked since she did not want the meat to substitue with hash browns, was told she could not do that and still charged for hash browns (should have ordered the meat and threw it away since she had to pay for it) i think this is very unprofessional when meat is much higher than potatoes that you are slinging on almost every other plate. this is the only restaurant i have been to you could not substitute. will not be back

our place restaurant is my place forbreakfastor lunch. i eat 2 to 3 meals there each week. the staff are always courteous, friendly, and timely in taking your order. the atmosphere is open, the decor is a mix of texas/country. the food quality is very good, prepared home-style, like your grandmother would make. serving sizes are plentiful. i usually take half home for another excellent meal. the prices are reasonable. the owner makes sure to monitor the dining room floor and visit with his guest, ensuring a quality dining experience. unlike the nearby chain restaurants where you would go to be entertained, you come to our place for the friendly service and a quality meal at a good price.

our place is the best family restaurant around. the food is fresh and always delicious. the staff is friendly and fun. you can getbreakfastanytime. there is absolutely no otherbreakfastthat compares to our place.

awful-nothing worth the wait. after hearing so much hype, and seeing the place packed everyday, decided to get there early and give it a try. we were one of the few fortunate ones that did not have to wait, we were promptly seated, and after about 10 minutes someone asked if anyone took our drink order, no, she took our order, coffee. beware, coffee arrives in dark blue mugs, and is so weak one container of creamer made it white, not just lightened. ok, finding decent coffee in burleson is hard, so can by pass that, she did bring a glass of water, which adds a point in their favor. menu is the same as the porch in old town burleson, so ordered my stand by favorite southern scramble, biscuits, hash browns, scrambled eggs and sausage gravy, price is 1.00 higher than the porch. mybreakfastcompanion ordered the ham and cheese omelet. people were seated behind us, and beside us, their food arrived, they ate (both tables) and left, still no food. finally the waitress stopped by and said that she would check on our order, 10 minutes later she brings out food. i have to say that it did look good, the gravy was perfectly seasoned, but that is the best i can say for my breakfast. the hash browns were basically mashed potatoes, the biscuits were raw and doughy, the scrambled eggs were way overcooked and hard, but the worst part was that the potatoes were full of bell peppers. i love bell peppers when i order them, i am not a fan of them with white cream gravy. my companion asked that i taste her omelet and tell her what i tasted, i took a fork full, and popped it in my mouth expecting to taste egg, cheese and ham, as i chewed i tasted nothing....i looked at her questioningly, and she said nothing right? i agreed and tried another bite, again nothing, no taste whatsoever. what do you have to do to make ham, eggs and cheese taste like nothing? well i could not get past the raw biscuits with mashed potatoes piled on them, so was ready to pay and get out of there, but my friend who is more outspoken than i asked for the manager, she explained that herbreakfasttasted of nothing, and he said "well" then he looked at my uneaten plate and said yours too? i said no, i could not eat raw biscuits with mashed potatoes on them, with bell peppers. he proceeded to tell me that there are no bell peppers on there, and insisted even when i pulled one out to show him, he waved his hand in the air and said whatever, and walked off. the waitress brought our checks over and when my friend protested not even a credit for the coffee, she said that the manager said that he did not care if we came back or not. so here are another two that will not be back, i will continue going to the porch, better food and better staff, without the waiting. beware nothing here is worth the wait!!!
