our place restaurant

ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast: a beautifully pounded/flattened steak, sadly over-breaded for my taste, with home fries (i ordered crispy then were not), two eggs over medium (perfectly executed) with a side of buttermilk pancakes. yeah, don’t come here starving you will order way too much food.

it was all very tasty. the iced tea tasted like it came from a coffee pot to me. hope that was just a one off mistake.

do not recommend. stopped at our place approx. 1:00 pm thursday, feb 26, 2015; they weren't that busy, ten mins went by finally a bus girl stopped to take my drink order; another ten mins went by before a waitress came to my table; i only ordered a bowl of veg soup and a patty melt, nothing special. a lot of people coming in being seated around me, they all received their food order. i'm still waiting, she says "not too much longer". she brings the soup, it's cold. out comes the patty melt, it's seriously burnt and the meat dry as a bone, i just looked at her and she walked away. i went up the cashier and told her this was the worst ever; she tried to give me a gift card, i said, no i'll never come back!!

i'm not big on scathing reviews or exaggeration, so i am not going to pretend like breakfast was terrible. it was, however, a massive disappointment compared to the mansfield location. the food is not the same, which baffles me since the two locations are only about 5 minutes apart. the serving sizes are significantly smaller than the other location as well. just really disappointed - our place in mansfield is hands down our favorite breakfast restaurant in the dfw metroplex. we won't ever be back to the burleson location.

if you have celiac this place is not for you!. not gluten free friendly!! went to get a omelette to go and what a waste of money! $9.31 for a veggie omelette with cheese and hashbrowns. manager came out when i was checking out when i was discussing whether or not i could get tomato slices instead of the bread. no substitutions! he looked at me and said you can get any of the breads or pancakes. i said i understand that but i can't have any bread cause i have celiac. he said sure you can and started laughing like its a joke. umm no not funny i was not laughing. then he walks away, all about the customer right? not. then get out to my truck and see there is a very small cold portion of hashbrowns. i walked back in and a nice girl did approach me getting me more hashbrowns. got to car and all cold. omelette was good though! i won't be back and they need to educate themselves on the people that can't have bread cause trust me we all wish we could!

won't be going back. we had heard great things about this place, but we were not impressed at all. we went for breakfast and my wife got the cinnamon french toast, our kids got the french plate and i got the sampler platter. the french toast was soggy and underdone, the scrambled eggs tasted like old expired egg beaters and the sausage and grits tasted like they were straight out of the box and not very good at all. the bacon and pancakes were pretty good. as far as the staff, our waitress had a ton of attitude and annoyed that she had to deal with us and the older lady at the checkout counter (not sure if she's the owner or manager) didn't seem interested in hearing that there were problems or adjusting our check to the 10% off that our waitress said she took off, but didn't. she took our money and then kind of ignored us. we definitely won't be going back, i don't need to pay $25 for a bad breakfast and attitude.

horrible food and horrible service!!!. a while back, i heard some positive things about the food at this restaurant, so i thought i'd go try it out for myself, this morning. what a huge disappointment!!! it took me forever to get my food, and when i did get my food, it was cold (the cheese on the omelet had even hardened on top) and probably because it was sitting for a long while before it was brought to me, the waitress was not good either! i specifically asked her if i could "substitute" (not add) one of the veggies for another veggie on my omelet, without being charged extra, because i am allergic to the one that came with the omelet. she stated yes! however, i was charged for the substitution and i was charged full price for my entire meal, even though i had already clearly conveyed how dissatisfied i was with my meal, to the female management person, i assume she is probably a manager, but not sure. she offered to remake my breakfast, but as i told her, i had to leave soon to make it to my appointment in time. why would they even need to remake a dish if it was made right to begin with, right?!! my point exactly!! honestly, the omelet and the entire breakfast (with the flat diet pepsi) is something you can get at the supermarket, a cheap frozen entree, as that is exactly the quality of food that i received! awful and really bad quality!!!! no, i would not recommend this place!! yuk!!

absolutely amazing food. both the breakfast and lunch service. good service, good prices, and the coolest management around.

o/p is consistently outstanding!. what more could a hungry person ask for in a meal? home cooking style lunch specials every day. just had the chicken fried steak omelette for the first time. incredible! staff is excellent and makes everyone feel at home. go there twice and then try to stop. i dare you.

i have watched the building that houses our place fold time and again. now, day after day i see a full parking lot, and i eat there myself 4-5 times a week. otto (the owner) is a big reason for that. always takes time to check on tables personally. also, his staff is always friendly and strives to make your meal and dining experience enjoyable. i love the place.

good food, friendly efficient service casual texas done very well.

not going back...asked for a side of biscuits with my dinner plate (includes rolls) she only brought the rolls out when asked about biscuits she said shed have to charge me for them, which i already knew they would. so she took my rolls away even whenbthey came with my plate. they got my sides wrong also , waitress never came back until food was out (15min);

bad decision. wanted breakfast for lunch today, a co-worker and went to our place,
my co-worker does not eat meat, she ordered the texas waffle special, she asked since she did not want the meat to substitue with hash browns, was told she could not do that and still charged for hash browns (should have ordered the meat and threw it away since she had to pay for it) i think this is very unprofessional when meat is much higher than potatoes that you are slinging on almost every other plate. this is the only restaurant i have been to you could not substitute. will not be back

my daughter's family was treated terribly when she came to this restauraunt. they had 5 people. her family is mixed race. many white family's were seated before them. after waiting 40 minutes they seated a white family of 7 and still did not seat them. they decided to move on. bigots.

nope. went there yesterday & had the worst service ever. i've both worked in & had friends in the service industry so i not only know how to be polite to a server but also how hard it can be. that being said, there was no reason for the almost completely absent character of our server, jaimie. my boyfriend & i were polite, we smiled, & said please & thank you upon her taking our order. she was very short with us in terms of attitude & had an almost sarcastic tone. after that, we pretty much did not exist. another server brought us our food, which i know is common in just about all restaurants, but jaimie never once checked in on us. the only time she came by was to ask if we wanted more tea & i think she only did that because she was passing out tea to the two neighboring tables. she was all over the two tables next to us but never asked how our food was or if we needed anything. she came over to tend to one of them &, in the process of talking to them, half turned & dropped our check on the table without a word. when we were seated there was still a tip on the table from the previous customers; one dollar. we both initially thought that was rude & felt bad for her but her service later proved that a dollar was generous. she did not get any tip from us. the portions also seem about half the size they were a year ago. i've really wanted to like this place & this last trip was the fourth & final visit. first visit was great, second visit the waitress brought my boyfriend's drink out by holding it with her finger inside of the rim of the cup. that same visit my meatloaf was ice cold & the mashed potatoes had the texture & flavor of clay. third visit proved that the fried okra is straight out of a bag. bought a banana cream pie that time as well & it only had about a quarter inch custard on the bottom & about five inches of whipped cream on top. we will not be back in the future nor we will recommend this place to anyone.

we ate at our place while staying at jellystone. there was a lady making ballons for the kids and ours loved it. we also took pie to go which was delicious.

they have the best food around. taste like homemade should taste. people that critize it are just trying to get free food. so if you don't live in burleson and don't like the food go back to your part of town and it will mean more for the people who has good taste. the people are super nice as well
