we found this restaurant on urban spoon and decided to try it for brunch. it was fabulous! we ordered twosavorycrepes and one sweet crepe for three people. the versailles is a must try. sweet but not overly rich. the savories were a perfect blend of herbs and cheeses. owners and staff are super friendly. we will come back here on every future trip to wilmington!

tt (tourist trap!!!). i'm a little bewildered by the other positive reviews. based on all of the good feedback, we decided to give this place a try. that being said, i was truly and deeply unimpressed. the crepes themselves had little flavor, and left me thinking this was more of a fast-food creperie at the price-point of an authentic restaurant. i'm not one to usually be critical, but i feel like these crepes were something i could easily have designed and created myself. plus, i wasn't expecting a frozen, mcdonald's style hash brown from a restaurant such as this...disappointed.

food criticism aside, the service was awesome and everyone was very attentive. unfortunately, i just look for good tasting food when i go out to eat. service and ambiance come second.

we ordered the special, asavorycrepe (tomato, basil, mozzarella, balsamic, prosciutto) and the banana, nutella, strawberry crepes.

this has to be the best crepes place in town. and indeed one of the best breakfast joints. i tried both sweet as well assavorycrepes. thesavoryones i had as the main meal, while i shared a sweet ones as a dessert with my family members accompanying. this is a sweet little place, ideal to unwind and play a game of cards. the service is also excellent, as in most of nc state.

delicious.... the biggest decision is sweet orsavory.... my husband and i decided on asavoryfor each and to split a sweet. i had the mushroom, onion and swiss. husband had sausage, cheese and egg. we then split a nutella and banana..... would highly recommend all 3. incredibly friendly staff as well ( assume perhaps the owner due to the french accent). will be back!

although it doesn't look like much from the outside, it is clean and welcoming inside. the menu is filled with both sweet andsavorycrepes including the standard french fare and more unique ones as well. staff is friendly and the food is great. a wilmington must do for breakfast or lunch.

i like french food. there is a certain simplicity to it in elevating a few flavor notes to create a masterpiece. unfortunately there is a mystique to french food which makes people assume that it should be snobby and expensive, often perpetuated by french restaurants. not so for the noble crepe which is the ultimate in simplicity. crepes can either besavoryor sweet and are really nothing more than a slightly sweet, thin pancake.

truly authentic french crepes, delicious variety of sweet &savory& the customer service was excellent! greeted at the door by the owner in his lovely thick, french accent. he also came to each table as we ate to check on all the guests. thumbs up from my hubby too who was originally a little sceptical since he hasn't really eaten real french crepes before. would definitely recommend this place & will be back!!

wholly crepes..... first visit was at lunch today - ordered thesavory"quebec" ($6.99) that featured smoked salmon, sour cream & chives with the salted whipped cream. wife had the "provencale" ($7.59), that was stuffed with cheese, ratatouille, chicken and black olives.
not sure why, but the provencale was massive compared to the ultra-thin quebec. both were verysavoryand had huge flavor, but left us both thinking the serving sizes were really off for a $7 meal.
add on a couple of drinks, and you're easily pushing $20+ for lunch. i'm sure there were cheaper items on the menu, but we both opted for the "house specialties" to get a feeling for the place.
we might try our crepes again for some sweet dessert-style crepes....

this place was fantastic! i had asavorycrepe filled with spinach, prociuto, and goat cheese which was incredible ... my girlfriend had the frotserie royale (i need to check the french spelling on that) and she loved it ... in true american fashion we dared to stuff ourselves with dessert and i am so glad we did! the versaille dessert crepe with banana, strawberry, nutella, vanilla ice-cream, and was dressed up with chocolate and strawberry syrups with whip cream... i am still dreaming about it... maybe i will go back tonight for round two! only thing better than the food was the warmness and authenticity of the helpful people that run the place!

french, understated and awesome.... as visitors to wilmington, we turned to us to find a good place for brunch and found this little gem tucked on the corner of a retail strip, very diner looking, certainly not the stereotypical french eatery. simple decor, no tablecloths, order at the counter (you can take the menu to your table first to ponder your decisions), and they deliver your food to you. we were immediately won over by the lovely people running the place, possibly a family endeavor, with polite smiles and endearing accents. our food arrived swiftly. as for the food... we ordered an assortment ofsavoryand sweet crepes and one of us, gluten intolerant, received the "gluten-free" version, consisting of the crepe stuffing ingredients sitting stop a fluffy layer of what looked like a flat omelet. the crepes were perfectly prepared and although at first glance appeared to be slightly smaller portioned than needed, once eaten, were more than filling enough. our favoritesavorycrepes were the quebec and the corsica (substituting spincach for green beans) and our favorite sweet was the versailles. the best thing, we decided, is that for the price, the quality and quantity of this food can't be beat.

luscious crepes.... my husband and i went for late breakfast ~11 on saturday. there was a couple finishing up and another couple getting take-out. we ordered 2savorycrepes (tahiti and la forestiere) plus a croissant and pane du chocolate. everything was wonderful!! the crepes themselves are quite large, but airy and light. my filling was less traditional, but asavorytreat. my husband's was more traditional and melted in our mouths. the croissant was buttery, delicate, and crisp; perfect and the pdc was quite good as well. we will definitely be back!! i also think it would be a fun and different place to bring out of town guests for breakfast/lunch/brunch. if i have one complaint, it would be the paper plates and plastic utensils; such fine food deserves better things to serve it on.

fun, friendly value. we noticed this new place as we drove by on oleander and stopped in to check it out. we learned it's owned by a french family who have lived in the states for years and who chose to settle in wilmington. the daughters were at the counter the day we were there. they were very helpful and friendly.
the menu includes crepes, sandwiches, salads and homemade ice cream (and more). thesavorycrepes include both meat and veggie choices and come with salad, but we were in a sweet mood. we ordered one strawberry crepe and one chocolate-banana crepe.
the crepes were tender and tasty, the fruit was fresh and not too sweet. add ice cream and whipped cream and there was a lot of food for the price--all handmade and fresh when we ordered it. we can't wait to go back and get the nutella crepe (just like the little stands in paris). at mealtime, i want to try the goat cheese and honey or ratatouille and chicken.
and, they have free wi-fi. perfect.
