delicious.... the biggest decision is sweet or savory .... my husband and i decided on a savory for each and to split a sweet. i had the mushroom, onion and swiss. husband had sausage, cheese and egg. we then split a nutella and banana..... would highly recommend all 3. incredibly friendly staff as well ( assume perhaps the owner due to thefrenchaccent). will be back!

when in france...... this is the 2nd time we have been treated like this in this restaurant, and the last. we were at the restaurant 45 minutes before closing. we checked the clock...this is no exaggeration. they were cleaning up, chairs were put upside down on the tables already while people were still eating. when we entered you could literally see the staff rolling their eyes....but the thing that really stunned us was, this time the owner.......thefrenchlady (not the nicefrenchyoung guy...probably her son...who probably takes after his father) was the worst one of the group. in fact, the group quickly looked to her for validation/support for their unbelievable rudeness and their ' how dare you attitude'. this is not a woman who appreciates business. this may be how they do it in france, but here if we say we're closing at 4:00, we do not act like rude jerks to people who want to do business with us and pay us money when they show up at 3:15 just because it's a pretty day outside. when we asked if they were still open they looked at their watches and held out their hands like...???? i can tell you that this has cost them dearly.....through us not only have they lost 2 families' business, but they have generated ill will that will come up any and every chance we get to have a comment about this....it was really unbelievable. their crepes, however are absolutely delicioso!!!! but they will never enter our gullets again. we would re-rename the restaurant 'our crepes and more of our faux pas'.

although it doesn't look like much from the outside, it is clean and welcoming inside. the menu is filled with both sweet and savory crepes including the standardfrenchfare and more unique ones as well. staff is friendly and the food is great. a wilmington must do for breakfast or lunch.

authentic & delicious. i heard an ad on the radio for a creperie. never one to turn down a crepe, i headed over to our crepes & more. the clerk and i started chatting and it was great to hear the owners are from france, and it shows in the food. i used to live in france, and this is one of the most authentic and delicious crepes i've had in the 7 years since i left. not to mention how hard it is to find goodfrenchradio, which they play as well. i will come back here every since time i am in wilmington.

i likefrenchfood. there is a certain simplicity to it in elevating a few flavor notes to create a masterpiece. unfortunately there is a mystique tofrenchfood which makes people assume that it should be snobby and expensive, often perpetuated byfrenchrestaurants. not so for the noble crepe which is the ultimate in simplicity. crepes can either be savory or sweet and are really nothing more than a slightly sweet, thin pancake.

good crepes. period.. the crepes were delicious. accompanying items (in this case bacon and eggs) were below par. rubbery, overcooked eggs and cheap, thin bacon. i suggest ordering crepes only. plus, afrenchcafe should always serve great coffee. not so here. this was a mixed experience.

this place was fantastic! i had a savory crepe filled with spinach, prociuto, and goat cheese which was incredible ... my girlfriend had the frotserie royale (i need to check thefrenchspelling on that) and she loved it ... in true american fashion we dared to stuff ourselves with dessert and i am so glad we did! the versaille dessert crepe with banana, strawberry, nutella, vanilla ice-cream, and was dressed up with chocolate and strawberry syrups with whip cream... i am still dreaming about it... maybe i will go back tonight for round two! only thing better than the food was the warmness and authenticity of the helpful people that run the place!

french, understated and awesome.... as visitors to wilmington, we turned to us to find a good place for brunch and found this little gem tucked on the corner of a retail strip, very diner looking, certainly not the stereotypicalfrencheatery. simple decor, no tablecloths, order at the counter (you can take the menu to your table first to ponder your decisions), and they deliver your food to you. we were immediately won over by the lovely people running the place, possibly a family endeavor, with polite smiles and endearing accents. our food arrived swiftly. as for the food... we ordered an assortment of savory and sweet crepes and one of us, gluten intolerant, received the "gluten-free" version, consisting of the crepe stuffing ingredients sitting stop a fluffy layer of what looked like a flat omelet. the crepes were perfectly prepared and although at first glance appeared to be slightly smaller portioned than needed, once eaten, were more than filling enough. our favorite savory crepes were the quebec and the corsica (substituting spincach for green beans) and our favorite sweet was the versailles. the best thing, we decided, is that for the price, the quality and quantity of this food can't be beat.

fantastic!! we've been making our own crepes for years and this place is true to realfrenchroots. everyone working is french, as can easily be told by their great accents. the royale and the quebec were amazing and the chestnut paste crepe was as authentic sweet crepe as they come. the crepe batter is the heart of the crepe and theirs is prepared perfectly. highly recommended for a realfrenchcrepe experience.

very french, very good. two of us tried our crepes for lunch yesterday, and both of us enjoyed it immensely. the portions were smallish, and the preparation somewhat understated - both very french, we agreed. americans might be used to more food on the plate and more embellishment on the food, but it turned out to be just the right portion for lunch, and excellent food.

i had the la forestiere, chicken with mushrooms and onions, topped with whipped cream. the crepe is enorrmous, but of course very thin, and folded into a flat square the size of the plate. it looks deceptively small, and the filling appeared drier than i expected (my american propensity for saucy food, i guess) but it wasn't dry at all, and it was very tasty. the whipped cream was a smallish blob, and it melted quickly so that it was more garnish than ingredient.

my boss got the quebec, which would have been my choice as well if she hadn't ordered first, and it too was excellent. smoked salmon, sour cream and chives, with the same little whipped cream plop, and a nice fresh lemon wedge. i will order that next time, for sure, and would really like it if they could throw in some capers.

the menu says the crepes include a small salad, and we expected some greens on the plate, perhaps. what we got was the shredded carrot salad from the menu and while i was slightly taken aback, it was very good and i would get it on purpose again. it had a slightly nutty flavor, perhaps walnut oil in the dressing. i also got the nutella ice cream, which was very nice.

the atmosphere is interesting - an old schlotzky's not extensively remodeled. you wait in line to order, then get your drink, seat yourself and they bring the food. i didn't count, but i'd say it wouldn't seat more than 30, and it was about half full toward the end of lunchtime. there are a number of two-tops and some four-tops, and a high bar table or two as well. we sat right up against the glass window, but even as hot as it's been there was no discomfort. everyone there, including the owner who took our order, was very friendly and attentive. i hope they will include the ability to add a tip to the credit card, as i tend not to carry much cash. i will definitely eat there again and recommend it to my friends - even though i am widely known as a non-fan offrenchrestaurants.

fun, friendly value. we noticed this new place as we drove by on oleander and stopped in to check it out. we learned it's owned by afrenchfamily who have lived in the states for years and who chose to settle in wilmington. the daughters were at the counter the day we were there. they were very helpful and friendly.
the menu includes crepes, sandwiches, salads and homemade ice cream (and more). the savory crepes include both meat and veggie choices and come with salad, but we were in a sweet mood. we ordered one strawberry crepe and one chocolate-banana crepe.
the crepes were tender and tasty, the fruit was fresh and not too sweet. add ice cream and whipped cream and there was a lot of food for the price--all handmade and fresh when we ordered it. we can't wait to go back and get the nutella crepe (just like the little stands in paris). at mealtime, i want to try the goat cheese and honey or ratatouille and chicken.
and, they have free wi-fi. perfect.
